    I've had my Hunter here in the UK since mid-March and have done 850 or so miles - commuting (mostly in the rain!) and some rides for fun. In fact, it's renewed my interest in riding for fun! It has a very eager engine, picks up speed well from the start (now it's run in) and has very tall gearing, so I go up to 30mph in 2nd gear, can go up to 50mph in 3rd gear - and I still have two gears to go!! I've rigged up my tailpack and panniers and just need to plug the satnav into the battery and I'll be off on a camping holiday later this summer. True, it's smaller than my last bike (SV650 which I rode for 14yrs) so it'll be tight for space, but it has soooo much character and certainly keeps up with the traffic on the faster roads while being nimble in the bends. The engine does indeed sound really good - I think the bike makes me feel like a badass! More economical that the SV - and no chrome at all, so I don't have to polish anything - which is a plus in my opinion! In fact, I can't think of anything bad to say about it! For info, I'm 63 and been riding 20yrs this time round (and 4 or 5yrs in the 1980s).

      Awesome Tyler! It is absolutely a really great bike for someone just getting started., but also a bike for someone that just wants a great commuter….The power won’t scare or get away from you yet it still can get up to highway speed pretty reasonably. Nimble for maneuvering through traffic , looks super cool , and the price is really hard to beat :) Oh and insurance for motorcycles of this size will probably only cost you like $15 a month…plus this bike is a really great bike to begin learning to do your own maintenance….and Royal Enfield has a whole series of videos on UA-cam about how to do most of the maintenance. Do you have a favorite color? Lmk Happy bike hunting :)

    This is America. The Magnuson Moss Warranty Act of 1975 is federal law. It clearly states that ANYONE can perform the service without impacting the warranty. Last year Harley got slapped with huge fines and had to mail out a “correction” to their manuals because they were telling people they had to have it serviced at the authorized dealership.
    Royal Enfield claims that the entry in their manual is a mistake because it is the case in other countries.
    The 350 has two valves that use screw adjusters. It takes about an hour to do a service. It’s due at 300 miles but then every 6000 miles after that.
    My Classic 350 got mid 70s mpg. If I kept the ECO flag on I routinely got 90 mpg. Tomorrow I’m going to buy a Hunter.

      Yep the timing couldn’t be more perfect for them with inflation at such an extreme hike….they are just really nice looking machines that anybody with even just a few mechanical
      Skills can work on and just so affordable.

    These bikes are incredibly popular over here. For commuting but also exploring, meeting your friends at a biker café, bike nights, a little sightseeing or just out for a fun ride, they are ace. I know an older person from my part of the countryside who has just got a Hunter. I am watching with interest . I like to be able to go quite fast but should I? Realistically 60mph should be enough for me 😏

    hi Fastlane , my update i put a DNA air filter , stage two cam from Hitchcock motocycles , got rid of the cat. converter and put the new open flow muffler( it is not loud) for the hunter from hitchcock on and the result is very good , i can almost keep up with my mate's KLR 650 from zero to 100km per hour (60/65 miles per hour ) over that speed the KLR is faster (it would not be good if it was not , right ?) oh yeah the KLR does zero to 100km in about 6 seconds and my hunter is not far off that .... i hope this helps .

    Hope to buy mine tomorrow. It's second hand, with 2,000 miles and full service history. I think it works out $3800 or here in England £3000. Trying to keep calm.....🥴🤗

    If your looking for a commuter I recommend the Moto Guzzi V7 850cc. You can find great deals on them, they are shaft drive so no chain maintenance, cheap insurance, great mpg, and plenty of go. They are also better built than Enfield and I say that coming from a 350 meteor now on a V7.

    The price point of the RE is hard to ignore. I would rather have a late model Japanese bike for the reliability. Bigger resale market as well.

    • @FASTLANEMOTO
      @FASTLANEMOTO  Рік тому +3

      I hear ya Japanese bike do tend to be pretty trouble free but these things are cool :)

    • @mattdog1982

      Don’t worry about reliability. These new enfields are a step up. No electronic nonsense to go wrong either

    • @FASTLANEMOTO
      @FASTLANEMOTO  8 місяців тому

      True Buffy …the out the door price will typically be higher on most bikes… it’s a rare occasion that you can just get one at cost…I’ve done it but nobody believes it lol! It’s usually when they are clearing out last years inventory or they are just waaaaay overstocked. Are you currently riding??? I’d love to know what kind of bike or what bike you’re dreaming about. One good way to avoid the up charge on bikes is to buy a low mileage used bike….so that might be an option for you. Happy bike hunting 🤓

      Right on 👍 Did you see my most recent vid? I go the Hunter :) !!!!! I’m officially apart of the Royal Enfield Universe 😂 I love this little bike…. I’ve got an Indian Scout bobber as well but I haven’t even wanted to ride it since I got the Hunter…. I did take the scout around the block the other day and was just amazed how much better the little Hunter handles and huts honestly how much more fun it is:)
