I traded an astro ball joint press and adapter set for a snap on with some extra ram and Ford adapters. Zero regret for dropping the coin on that bad boy. That thing ROCKS
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 thank you again for another wonderful video. Thank you again for your time and effort for putting it all together 10 out of 10 for all the information for removing the ABS system in the Dodgers. I’ll be definitely looking into that if you could please put those links down below or we may be able to find them please and thank you and have a wonderful day.😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Its relative to me, im about to do the ims kit on the front and back of my duramax. Tho not the same exact thing, similar in a way that at least you show this stuff. Nobody else ever shows how to build a racetruck. I appreciate you for doing it. Cummins or Duramax dont matter to me long as i can learn something.
When doing ball joints I put ball joint under pressure with press and then use large blunt tip in air hammer and vibrate joint in. Like freezer deal think I’ll add that next time
Those brakes are FIRE! Makes me nervous though changing such a vital piece of the truck. But at these levels it is no longer only optional if you want to win. Great work as always man!
How much did it run you if you don't mind? I am about due on one of my trucks and I need to decide between this and the OTC. Is snap on really worth the extra coin?
@@joshuaquilliam2887 is snap-on really worth it?? That’s definitely an opinion. It ran me a little less than $800 plus I had to buy the right adapter as Josh said and I think that was less than $100 if I remember it all correctly. I was in my driveway trying to change the them and in the middle of it I got so upset I called “my guy” at the shop and he quoted me over $1500 (I live in Alaska) for ball joint replacements. I decided that justifies the cost of the tool to make my life easier, plus I know I few dodge guys at work so I can “rent” it to them. I definitely had to do some justifications in my head before I called my snap on truck.
@@joshuaquilliam2887I thought I replied to this last night. Anyway. Is it worth it? That’s definitely an opinion. I say it is. I was doing my ball joints while cussin and screamin. I ended up calling “my guy” at the shop and he quoted me over $1200 to do ball joints (I live in Alaska, not sure what shop rates are in L48). I called my SnapOn guy and I got the press kit and the adapter Josh talks about for around $900 all in if I remember right. There are several dodge guys at work and I figured they will need to do ball joints and I could “rent the right tool” to them and recoup some more money as well. It was spendy and took quite a bit of “justifying” it in my head, but ultimately glad I did it. The set does cover way more than just dodge, plus the adapters for the random vehicles aren’t that expensive. Good luck on your decision!
Please do a video on some adjustable valve shocks for two-wheel drive. I've been hunting since 2018. I spent thousands on shocks that I hate and none of them are adjustable. For some reason two-wheel drive trucks get a lot of hate. The reason I want this stuff is not because I'm lifting the truck. It's because I want my suspension to be stiff like a BMW. The best I got is Bilstein and evolving still too soft for me. No one seems to have any information on two-wheel drive front ends. I just want a shock that I can adjust the compression and rebound on that fits in my truck. I'm not lifted. If anything I'd like to lower the truck but there's not enough clearance to go any lower.
Sounds like a rather unusual use case, given the application. Depending on what specific Bilsteins you have they may be rebuildable and could then be revalved. Lots of people in the road racing space perform this service but be prepared to do a few revisions to get the ride you're after. The onus is going to be on you to do the research and development, including all the note taking and clear feedback to anyone you work with. Consumer grade shocks are for Joe Public so it's unlikely you'll find anything off the shelf with those damping rates. Alternatively you might reach out to King Shocks, Carbon Shocks, ADS Shocks etc. to get a custom shock made for your deal. These outfits regularly build custom shocks to order. External compression damping adjustment is often available as well as more advanced features.
@@Connor_Cripps I don't expect it to be cheap man. I'll check into those brands. I tried getting a hold of Fox but good luck with that. I used to have coilovers on my BMW. And I just evolving so that I could get the ride I was looking for when doing Palm Beach international raceway. My main purpose on that track was drifting. Now I'm in a diesel scene trying to do the same thing.
@@BentonL You're definitely going to spend a premium for something like that but your situation doesn't leave many options. I omitted Fox in my previous comment because they have migrated away from the direct-to-customer model. They usually won't help you even if you do own their stuff, it's all done through dealers and distributors and their appetite for one-off stuff isn't there. Too many bicycle and snowmobile shocks to keep them busy.
Looking good!

I finally broke down and bought the snap-on ball joint press. Game changer for sure!!!

Them brakes sick where did u order them off of? and nice build keep up the good work
Said you go through Firepunk, they have assembled the kit from a bunch of individual components
How do you like the steck work platform?
Where could I find that abs delete kit?
Can’t wait to see it in action!! What is specs on the 467/488 4gen you did? Mostly the s488 what size housing etc?

Thanks Josh! Can’t wait bro! Have you ever hear of Motorsport diesel? They build cp3 and claim to be the creator of the strokes cp3
what does it cost to swap all 4 brakes to tbm on a 3rd gen?
Could you list the part numbers for abs delete?
No and the reason why is you can buy the kit from Keaton who did all the leg work to figure it out.
@@horsetorquesdiesel fair enough, I have been trying to get ahold of him. Still no luck!
