I saw a house in 2018..it sold for 290K. Same house was for sale 3 months ago. Same house nothing added, sold for 495K. 😮
The exact same apartment in 4 years has gone from $1500 per month to $2200, and could go higher but hasn't had any refurbishment. NYers in exile are the only ones who can afford the new prices.
It has gotten too insane here in Jersey.
My forclosure listing in Belmar, tear down went for almost a million dollars!!! 😮😮😮
I am not surprised at all.
I sold my Aunt's house for her about 23 years ago. She had a big Victorian one block from the beach in Belmar. A one bedroom cottage grandfathered in on the property also. It sold for $325,000, It needed total renovation, but I saw the potential and wanted to buy it. My husband said no way, it was a money pit. Guess we'd be multi-millionaires now, even if we just did a few updates.
