THANK YOU! I saw a different method on UA-cam and after finishing my animations I realized the weapon bones were attached to the main arms armature and I could not export them to the base armature in Unreal because of new bones. Now I can!
Its not meant to show u how to create each and every gun, its meant to show u the steps to do it. U can download the files and see how exactly they are made
you clearly have a great understanding of this program amazing tutorial I got stuck on how to cut for an hour... because was way to fast for me as a beginner. I am using Mac and some of these commands do not align so I have to it find it manually. If you can slow down bit and show alternate methods on how tog et there besides hot keys would help me out a lot.
@@SingleSapling Hey I just made a gun and posted a video on my channel. What do you think? Oh and by the way I didn't watch the tutorial for the pistol just the workflow. So completely original.
Hey, really cool tutorial but I'm just wondering about one thing. For game engine is it better to do every moving part as seperate object or do it in one object like he did? Does it matter in the end?
this tutorial didnt explain anything at all, u just told us to make some basic shapes and then expect us to perfectly know what to do after u litterally cut to another part where alot of things have changed
Good video, but as a noob, you lost me at the barrel cylinder. I dunno how you got it that small and positioned. any way i've tried of getting it ready to delete the other side like you show, my vertices start clipping each other and turning the barrel into a half-box
another way to do it is to just get a simple plain and then start extruding that to the shape of the trigger. and then finally extrude the depth to it as well.
at the middle of the smoothing part the gun just cut and got changes withough them getting explained idk how to make a hole in the barrel without applying the modifier
There is a link in description for the patreon page where you can find a free cheat sheet. Just practice that once a day for 10-15 minutes and youll learn it quick
What if I just want to make a general asset pack for weapons but don't have a specific model in mind that they will go with, how would I go about setting the scale of the weapon then?
I guess you are making this for unity? Generaly all the characters will be 2 units tall so you can work around that. If you press n in blender whilst in object mode you can see the object dimensions. I would do a bit of googling to see what the guns real sizes are and then go from there
the this where you put your finger in came out of nowhere, the hole in the barrel, details on top pls explain u just showed some random guns and then cut to a better gun
Why is it so sped up? Having difficulty following what starts happening around 5:06. I'm trying to slant the handle like in the video, but my mirror modifier behaves differently. Is there an easier way to do this?
for every gun rigging video I watch, everyone seems to have their gun as one object, how can I do this? I was under the impression I needed different parts to make them move in the animation, but everyone is somehow moving separate parts in a singular object.... Ill elaborate on what I mean, if I combine all my parts into 1 object, it all becomes 1 object, nothing moves separately, but his clearly does, but no one mentions it which makes me think I'm missing a common thing...
Why in this video did you like skip everything the point of a tutorial is to show people who dont have knowledge how to do something, I just dont get the logic behind it.
@@SingleSapling I get what your saying but at the same time, it cant really be a guide when you skip large portions of the guide. If you think people who come to a guide would complain about it being too long, first of all those people are dumb and second you have 2 options either makes it into more videos or you can speed it up in editing.
@@Ytomany And which part did I skip? I gave you all the directions u need, reference -> block out -> smooth out -> details -> color -> rig. Everything else you need to adapt to your skill level. I get where u are coming from but I can tell u from experience that having 6 videos of making each gun wouldn't teach you anything :]
I watched the original video and thought ut was a bit outdated. Thanks for this.

Nice
Pretty underrated video for this content.
Looking forward for the new video, keep up the good work bro!
:]
its a good tutorial, but its really hard to follow along because of the speed

Great video! Your tutorials have been very helpful!
Thanks, I am here to help :]
Radon u deserve more subs
Please please please make a tutorial for rigging and animating the arms and guns together. Been having issues with this for a long time. Thanks!
I will very very soon
Really helpful, thank you so much
these tutorials help a lot!
:]
i just downloaded blender and watched that video, it helped me in one point, i learned i should do basic things first.
Watch the shortcuts video and practice it for a few days
great video but just one rec i'm a complete beginner and I got lost multiple times because you were a bit fast any who really helpful thx!!!
You can click align to view off and put the rotation x to 90 for the image
What a legend
The more I watch the videos I think guns design won’t be bad when I do the game’s design class
Its easy just go slow and concentrate

hey bro great tutorial can u give the reference u used make the sniper rifle plz? i would appreciate that.

I am new HOW DID HE CREATE THE CYLINDER AFTER THE MODELING SECTION oh i screamed
Hey how did you get rid of the seam on the y axis after you mirrored the base of the gun?? Please I cannot figure it out
is clipping checked in mirrorr settings?
hi this is great but do you mind doing it a bit slower and step by step cause im kinda a beginner
Even though ill use it on roblox this was helpful.
the people that can't catch up with the tutorial have a skill issue! I thought this tutorial was great!
Nice video! Can I use these weapons for commercial use?
yes
Have you done a video on how to do the tilt/corner peeling from rainbow 6
Not yet but I will
it is called leaning. it is in many other games too. earliest one i remember it from is call of duty 1.
Indeed, its been around for ever but rainbow 6 I guess intoduced most people to it
next time pls show us how to make all of the parts that u used for the smoothing you kinda just skipped it even though it is pretty important!
I'm trying to do modeling myself, but I find it really hard to model the trigger. Do you have any tips? I would appreciate that.
Just add a cube and scale it down, add some loop cuts and thats pretty much it
@@SingleSapling Will try later today. Thanks buddy. Your videos helped me so much. Huge respect.

another way to do it is to just get a simple plain and then start extruding that to the shape of the trigger. and then finally extrude the depth to it as well.
wish he would slow down and explain why he " sets object to origin" etc
at the middle of the smoothing part the gun just cut and got changes withough them getting explained
idk how to make a hole in the barrel without applying the modifier
how did you create the hole for where the trigger is?
i got a problem where i move the barell in position mode and sticks to the grip like glue.
Can I use the models and sell my game with them? would there be no problem?
No problem, feel free to use

@@SingleSapling LMAOOO U ACTUALLY RESPONDED
should i make a whole new blender project for just one gun or can i make all the guns in one file?
Whole new blender project to avoid confusion and to easily export them
it is a pretty good video but its just hard for starters like me to keep up because we dont know all the shortcuts and terminology etc
There is a link in description for the patreon page where you can find a free cheat sheet. Just practice that once a day for 10-15 minutes and youll learn it quick
I'm Not sure why my mesh sticks together when I use it it pose mode? the magazine is stuck to the grip and the barrel doesn't separate?
when you added the bullet ejector, how did you make it stop mirroring and then start back without copying the ejection slot
I think i just added a loop cut in the middle with ctrl r and then deleted the mirrored half
did you find the answer?
What if I just want to make a general asset pack for weapons but don't have a specific model in mind that they will go with, how would I go about setting the scale of the weapon then?

If nothing just make them any dimensions and then people can scale it down in unity depending on their situation
How do you scale the cube? All it does is select stuff, it does not expand stuff. PLS HELP MEEEE
Watch the video in the intro....the shirtcut one
press s
when your selecting the cube
how do you extrude the thing behind the loop cuts it just leaves nothing there
Which loop cuts there are a lot
i have question i am newer to blender and dont know what the controls are so can you tell me how you did the trigger area please
I used CTRL+R to add loop cuts and then just used G to move them
@@SingleSapling ok thanks :)
how to i open your blender flies, i cant open it becuase its an fbx
the this where you put your finger in came out of nowhere, the hole in the barrel, details on top
pls explain u just showed some random guns and then cut to a better gun
I can't eliminate the other part of the grip what do I do?

Will u be okay to take commission for making specific weapon (for Garry's Mod use ) ?

Add your new shapes with shift+A in edit mode of the first object and they'll be linked, but not joined.
9:04 How do you get all of the Bones as vertices to the model when you only selected the chamber?
Do u have to figure out the grip size?
Yes
@@SingleSapling but what if its a bigger gun, like a scar-l or m416
Then shape the hand into a position which will hold that bigger gun
@@SingleSapling don't worry anymore, i found a way without the hands, no offense but, with hands just takes longer
@@just4hex560 What way did you use? since for me using the hands seems like a hassle
Whenever I hit 0 it doesn't straighten.
Anybody know how he made the object invisible, then started editing the edges on top of the picture of the gun?
You can use H to hide and ALT H to unhide. Not sure if thats it, you can also use Z to go indo wireframe mode or ALT Z to go into "seethrough" mode
@@SingleSapling perfect, thanks homie
how you get the arms tho,
Made them in a previous video.
How long does it take to make a gun?
I dont understand anything because you do it so fast why is it so hard to explain everything slowly
why won't my bones connect to the areas of my gun? I'm doing everything he says to
Have you pressed A to select all of the vertices in Edit mode?
Are u ok its been a year
good tutorial but just so fast cant follow whats going on so not great for newer people like myself
