This is the commentary Fiction took issue with?
Didn't really look like lasers were the problem game 1 as opposed to losing scraps and getting read. Lasers gave him the opportunities to approach, Slug just played super good on those situations and read Fiction's drifts coming down. Fiction still shot just as many lasers in the later games, he just applied better pressure when he got in and converted harder. Also the guides were mostly about how to avoid grabs and common ICs tactics. No matter how good you are at a matchup, getting outplayed is always on the table. I still thought June and Jorge were hilarious as usual. Just thought that bit of analysis was off.

It’s so disappointing. I love Melee, I’ve been watching this game multiple times a week for almost 10 years, and the transphobia that’s busting out with this tournament is so disheartening. I really hope some community heads will speak out against it because it will hold the scene back as an e-sport. This is the future and transphobes should get out

I would root for ICs to win, but the character is clearly just so bad. They are still just a grab gimmick
No?? They are so much more exciting to watch now, actually play good and interesting neutral, have strengths outside of grabing, but yea it's obviously their best move. Like imagine saying that about sheik or Marth. That's dumb
