Lmao What did you visit my friend? You came to Bangladesh just to stay at Dhaka. Dhaka is the literal worst city in Bangladesh. Dhaka is a hellhole. You didn't even go to Sylhet or Bandarban the two most beautiful places in Bangladesh. Hope you come back some other time and do a proper visit.

The Indian clerk at the hotel was pretty insistent on keeping the passport until the manager gets there. That is very fishy. Who would ever trust his ridiculousness and pushy demeanor. And who would appreciate having to wait because of a lack of posted signs, but only to find out that the hour long wait was unnecessary.
Never leave your passport with anyone, who knows who can come in and out of the hotel

that train seems very good to be sincere. I'm actually surprised that there is soap and even two kinds of toilets. that passage between wagons is typical of older trains . it was like that even in europe until a few years ago. if you take an older type of train in the south of Italy you will not find soap most of the time and air conditioning doesn't always work. the train you show seems pretty good

The city where the Mitali express stops is Siliguri. Technically part of West Bengal and therefore not technically part of the Indian northeast. But it is the gateway to the Indian Northeast. You could actually go to the Indian Northeast through Sylhet or to Tripura.

You guys should hire local people or acquaintance to deal with language issues. Because it's really frustrating for everyone to convince the receptionist after coming to a hotel. Buying sim card or booking hotel are quite easy if you take help from a local person. And don't expect smooth experience in everywhere from booking cab to dealing with local or shopping if you don't know the local language. You may not face this problem in metro cities but elsewhere the risk is high. Hope you've understood. Have a safe tour.

Safe journey. India is a diverse country and mega diverse in biodiversity. Try NOT to visit chaotic cities there(i am not a fan of polluted noisy cities). North India near himalaya is beautiful eg ladakh. It is the only country where lion and tiger exist. A lot of visitors tend to visit agra, delhi, jaipur. But north india is better near himalaya

Yeah! Buying a SIM card in India as a foreigner is quite a time consuming task. They takes several pictures of both the buyer and seller. And the seller has to input a lot of details both visa and passport details.
Also if there is even a single typo, the request will be rejected later and they have to redo everything.
The process takes hour and sometimes more than that. And also you can not buy a SIM card after 23:00.

most foreigners come to indian subcontinent to experience chaotic and busy life, of they want to see modern buildings they will visit new york or any other country, why would they come to Bangladesh😂😂? ?
there is nothing modern about that small area. just making a road (which doesn’t even have single lights) and few nice buildings (almost all buildings are unsafe and doesn’t have any safety regulations) doesn’t mean anything. look at city like Singapore or Malaysia which is actual definition of modern.
