I find it easier by equiping swiftcast and ice on last two slots. Atb boost then blizzaga the pack of wolves, limit break will be full, use it on last remaining wolf. Swiftcast ice also helps in that annoying diabolic variant fight. The swan song cast time is too fast, no room for targetting error so I find it safer to just ninjutsu crippled one of the wings, atb should be full already, then thundaga the other. And thanks for the video guide.
I swiftcasted blizzaga all five rounds, swiftcast is so fast that it can consistently pressure enemies. Did hp absorb mp absorb magic focus so it would heal me and restore my mp too. I swiftcast blizzagad the wings for swan song too. The bird had no chance. I had no heals on me hp absorb was enough
@@reinokumayou should be able to immediately do one at the start with first strike and atb boost and then do her ranged attacks to quickly build two more and do another. Its been a while since I did this fight but I don’t remember that part being in issue the atb generation is quick

@@Yoshi__Online hello, a tip. If you stay practically in the face of the mindflayer he only does his melee attack mostly. The only other move he uses is telekinesis and psychotic break. This strat does rely that you can block/perfect block his melee attacks, it also increases his stagger bar quite fast. Else I would also keep a limit break in case he uses eltdrich horror and can't avoid it. Good luck 🤞

This guide was so helpful! I did make a few minor tweaks that may not have been necessary but I'll post them below: MP Absorb + Lightning and Wind, **HP Absorb + Ice**, ATB Stagger, Magic Up ATB Boost, First Strike, Fire + Elemental, **Enemy Skill + HP Apsorb**, **Ice + Swiftcast** I switched from Crescent Sickle to Fuma Shuriken, trading 18 Magic Attack for +24 Physical Attack. This lets me remove Strength Up, as the +24 boost enhances physical damage with Doppelgänger. Despite the Magic Attack loss, I kept Magic Up to offset the -18 reduction. I'm a fanboy of HP Absorb + Plasma Discharge (Enemy Skill), and it *was* helpful in this battle. However, the best tweak was pairing Swiftcast with Ice. With or without Doppelgänger, it turned Yuffie into an absolute frost annihilator. For the last battle, use ATB Boost, Doppelgänger, and Plasma Discharge/Thunder Ninjitsu. Target the wings before she casts Swansong; Tactical Mode helps lock on. Build ATB with a few attacks and use a Lv.1 Thunder Spell. Then, target the other wing. Follow Opti's strategy. Try Plasma Discharge. Stagger, use 2 ATB, and cast Thundaga. Repeat if needed for Swansong. If Doppel is out, Thunder should be efficient for each wing. Stay calm, use Tactical Mode, and take down the wings. The rest should be cake! P.s. If you're in a pickle and have the option to summon Phoenix, I think you should go for it. Try to see if you can get 2 ATB for Reraise. It's always nice to have that status. Good luck!

Confession time for real - I really suck at actual combat. I've played FFVII in 1997, every FF game except online ones since FF first came out.....and I only just realized how much of an old-school ATB menu-scrolling guy I still am - because I had NO IDEA that I wasn't doing the Ninjitsu skill properly....after 200+ hours with this game and 60+ with Remake (and Intergrade with Yuffie lol). Well, I just figured it out - because there was no way I could beat Wind Zu without getting more damage. I really appreciate the video, because it showed me the difference I could see. This one's on me - I literally must have had to do Zu at least 10-15x (I could Swiftcast Ice my way through the first 4) before I re-watched the video and realized the basic problem. Awesome guide as always - I've learned to finally block/parry (to beat White Terror and Kid G with Cloud), dodge/attack or counter with Tifa / Red, and now do Elemental Ninjitsu properly (along with the Brumal form ATB factory trick with Yuffie - the Chalkenfes forced me to fix those areas. I’m no star but at least I can do those. Moves correctly lol. Now hopefully I'm ready for Hard Mode, Cait Sith and Zack / Sephiroth (hopefully all the basic moves I skipped with the Easy/Dynamic mode parties hiding my deficiences are now taken care of). Yuffie, tifa, cloud, and aerith were broken in the og too and was my main pt until disc 3. Makes wonder if Vincent will be broken like in og if you grinded long enough with dp.
the devs gave us minigame garbage and bullshit retry gameplay not repayable gameplay... you must not know all of gaming history and have a selective view. This game is the proof good graphics do NOT make for good gameplay. Square enix proves that A LOT!

Did it on my 2nd try. Got bit of problem with targetting the swan song wings, i did one of the comment saying do ninjutsu on 1 wing and thundaga on the other, blindstorm and thundaga, ninjutsu and thundaga again. It works! Thank you for the wonderful guide
I really appreciate these so much, I like the detail you go into. Like with Tifa's I didn't know if you doge then attack that she'd charge straight to the enemy, or that Windstorm does different things depending if you throw the Shuriken. I also like that I don't have to be great at the Parrying. I suck at it, and other guides just expect you to be able to do it. Thank you for these~!
I dont ive ever done parrying here or revolved the guides around it, usually involves blocking or Counterfire (synergy skill), but no parrying. I see so many games where its said you need to learn to perfect parry, yet i still manage to make these guides where we dont need to, like Lies of P, DMC5 (apparently you had to become a combo God, but not true). Talking about DMC5, I think this may actually be harder

I just beat it today, and I didn’t know throwing and retrieving the shuriken affected moves like shooting star. I didn’t know it affected windstorm until I saw it on this guide
I went with swiftcast on my ice for those last two slots, and it worked well in that fight with the enemies and their arms. managed to get this on my second try (after adding the swiftcast), great guide! worked like a charm!

got him on my second try! thanks so much for your perfected strat's, actually used thundara on his wings during swan song, one cast and it destroys one wing. Took longer for me to stagger him but I got it done. Cait Sith here we go!

Extra paired slots? I always pair hp absorb with enemy skill. Plasma discharges... every atb gained will rebuild your health if close enough to an enemy
Its best to fit hb absrob + ice, it helped during the 3rd fight with the clones For king zu, Immediately cast thundara on the 1st wing, it cripples it immediately And then spam lightning ninjitsu on the 2nd wing to cripple it and build atb THANKS FOR THE AWESOME GUIDE! yuffie is OP, Knew that 1st hand from platinum-ing intermission, she a 1 person army

2:24 Im sure you know this already, but for others, maping the windstorm to an rb+(button) i chose x. It makes it go faster. Just a suggestion. Throw with triangle then press LB and the button you mapped it to.

This one wasnt too hard to beat. Died several times at the wolves until I got the pattern right. Everytime i kept hitting the throw or attack button an extra time and it would mess up the combo. Works great when you do it right. Only other one that got me several times was diabolic varient. Couldnt seem to keep the targetting on the arm. Id get about half damage on it and he would leap into the air and drop down on me. But that broke the target lock on his arm. Took about 4 tries before I was finally able to stagger him at the right time and then win exactly how you said to do it. King zu has always owned me in this game with that damn swan song. I was thinking he would get you in the video cuz I thought you had taken too long to break the wings but I think you just made it. In my case, I was having issues targetting the wing and it took me much longer. Both times he did it after breaking one wing, I thru the thundaga at the second one rather than risk starting over. It work out just as well doing it that way and he was down to a sliver of health after the 2nd swan song and stagger just like in your video. Great guid as usual. On to Cait sith
Just an FYI you can use those two slots to do swiftcast with wind. This will allow you to spam wind pretty quickly at the joker. He staggers very quickly and you don't even have to pressure him.
For those who have a problem with the targeting King Zu’s Wings (I did too. For some reason the targetting system here is a bit clunky unlike Remake), using 1 atb bar for blindside can help. Blindside counts as a throw allowing you to proceed to ninjutsu. The physical damage also is substantial and will help takedown the wing in no time.
First try again with your guide, my adaptation was using the suggestion from Gashanos (Swiftcast + Ice for the extra slots), using it on the Wolfs (killed 3 with the Blizzaga and the other with Limit Break) and for the King Zu, on the fisrt Swang Song I ninjutsu one and thundaga the second, and every other Swang Song I use Blindside and finish the wing with ninjutsu and do the same with the other one, it helps with the target and the initial damage is good making the time easier. The only problem that I had was with the Diabolic thing that I was too fast and staggered it before the Enshadow, so it block it´s life and do the clones, but since it was at so low life I was able to push through.
I kept playing after I got through using your guides up to Aerith and managed to only have Cait Sith left, but this method is so much easier than how I used Yuffie 💀 lol Thank you for these tutorials, definitely wouldn’t have gotten this far without them!
Thanks man! Let me add, to make it a bit quicker, watch out for Banishment 3 ability. Once it filled up, you can use it to launch a devastating attack.
I am following your guides to do the bouts and ALL of them is awesome. I had to do Yuffie without guide because its wasnt released yet, but this seems to be amazing like the others. Now i am sitting and waiting for Zack and Sephirot ones, too difficult 😢
I see you and several other youtubers use magic focus twice with the same materia, yet I've noticed through rigorous testing that double magic focus doesn't stack even though it lights up blue. (Btw thank you for your videos, they helped me a lot not only through these challenges but also to discover new ways to play with each character 😊 )
It works pretty well. I did bring time materia and healing. King Zu is not immune to stop, so after stopping the first swan song, I cast on him and haste on Yuffie. This locked him in the pressure state and even though I didn't stagger him right away, he wasn't spamming me with unblockable attacks.
Use the last 2 slots for ice and swiftcast. You can at boost and kill most of the wolves with a quick blizzaga and it makes getting the timing on that short pressure window in fight 3 easier
Instead of spamming Lightning Ninjastus on King Zu's wings during Swan Song, cast Thundara on each wing. Just two Thundaras are all that's needed, making the King Zu battle a lot easier and faster.
Another great guide :) got it on my 2nd attempt, i messed up and staggered the boss in round 2 before the purple fog haha but again it's doable without genji gloves for those who haven't done hard mode yet! Thanks for the help!
@@Panicatthepanic I think i was using Götterdämmerung because you're immune to all damage when you use the LB so that's always a bonus but anything do i guess. Good lucl!
So I was quite surprised to see you absorb the Firaga damage from the 3rd boss because I've equipped Elemental lvl 3 + Fire & Ice materia, and it completely fails to mitigate any fire damage. It hits me for about 4K. (Before anyone asks, yes the elemental materia is in a linked slot, in my ARMOR, and is level 3.) I 100% know Elemental + "Fire & Ice" has blocked ice damage in the past. Does it ONLY work for Ice and not Fire? Or is this a bug of some sort? I see in your vid you only used a regular Fire materia, just wondering if that's the reason. Same thing with the Wind and Lightning materia. During the Aerith bout, Elemental + Wind & Lightning was great at absorbing lightning from Quetzecotl on the final battle. But Yin & Yang's Thundaga's still did 3K damage to her. Literally the same setup. Lightning got absorbed from one fight but did damage to me in another fight. Any idea what could be causing that?
@@Optinooby Thanks for the reply! Yeah idk, it was super weird. I generally try out each of these fights on my own for a 5-10 attempts, and my base setup when going in blind is to include Elemental + Fire and Ice and Elemental + Wind and Lightning on 2 sets of linked armor slots, just to cover all the elemental bases defensively. And sometimes I'll get things using Thundaga and Firaga but still damaging me. To fix on Yuffie, I literally just swapped my Fire + Ice with my Wind + lightning materias, and tried again. That time...all 4 worked properly. There's definitely some situation where it bugs out and doesn't work, but I'm not sure what causes it.
Swan Song is absurd. It inflicts Instant Death on everyone, but even if you wear something that protects you from Instant Death, it will do 9999 fixed damage. The only way to survive it is to have protection from instant death _and_ something with Reprieve. Easier just to stop him from using it altogether. Interestingly enough, the assess seems to imply that if you attack it right after it finishes Swan Song, you can instant kill it. I'm not sure how you would do that though, as even if you survive it, it knocks you down for a long time. Maybe if you use Jump right before it finishes?
After losing to the Zu once due to the targeting, I had to make sure to go into Tactical Mode and ensure I was targeting the wings. Sounds dumb but good to use. A fully charged Thunderous Banishment was a beautiful finisher
@optinooby I only have Yuffie and Cait Sith left before I unlock the last two legendary challenges with Zack and then Sephy! This is largely thanks to you for your amazing guidance! Since you gave us the option to have two extra slots I really want to take some chances and have some fun here with a few options, my first instinct was to add more defense with vitality up plus a chakra for emergency but it doesn’t appear necessary. What does appeal to me is more damage with my spells, particularly ❤, would you say I would get more damage by adding 2 luck ups which would bring yuffie to an astounding 179 luck OR am I better off going with Ice plus Magic focus? Would really appreciate your thoughts here. Thanks for all the amazing content! 😊
With the Zu I did the thunder cast and doppelganger and took out a wing, then decided to do thundaga on the other wing since sometimes you lose time trying to aim ninjutsu attacks toward the wing, plus using the ATBs help with banishment
Did Cait and Red yesterday, because I did not want to wait, but Yuffie I could not get over the third enemy. With your build it was done eyes closed. Ridicilous. 🤣 The game has like 2 mods for hard: be incredible good with the combat system or solve the riddle for the best build/best timing for every challenge. I prefer your style. 😂
I don't know what's going on - I got pretty far on my first try pretty easily and then misunderstood how swan song works and got killed. That's my bad, now I realize you have to target the wings, for some reason I thought I had to dodge the fireballs until it stopped lmao. Anyway, now on every run, Joker keeps using those "card" attacks (club, spade, joker, etc) and I don't know what's triggering this. I don't think I'm doing anything differently, do you know what's going on? EDIT: Never mind, beat it first try after posting this. I guess I just needed a break lol. Thanks again for these guides!

@Optinooby I have no doubt in my mind that you will make them very easy I have followed all your hard mode chapter guides . They all have been made very easy to complete but at the same time have been very funny to watch for the humour included in them I'm going to do the kitty legendary today then finish hard mode so I can have weapon lvl 9 going in to chapter 14 with most characters
Did this one on my second attempt. The thing that killed me on the first try? The wolves. I messed up the windstorm cycle. The rest, I did with ease. Yuffie is one of my favorite characters to play in both Remake and Rebirth.
Just wanted to point out if anyone has trouble on some of these, and specifically when killing the zu wings try using a spare atbbar for sonic boom, then continue as normal. The damage increase is very significant but the buffs only last 10 or 15 seconds
Another banger vid, the worst part of this fight is the rng but it’s not terrible just might take a few restarts but least there quick if you have to restart
Out of curiosity, what do you have your lock on toggle set to mine is just pointing the right stick left or right and sometimes I can’t target certain body parts like that.

I think I might need a better alternative approach for the Diabolic Variant. How do you control where the Ninjutsu aims? There's no way to cycle through targets with it. I remember that being a huge problem in the Intermission box breaking game which unfortunately they never found a way around... unless there's a way to control it that I'm missing? EDIT: Never mind, beat it. It's still finnicky but I just made sure it was in sight before hitting lock on (even though I can still easily lose it). Thank you so much for these!
Dumb question. How do I target the guys arm and keep it targeted? For some reason I cant get it to target and even when I R3 lock. Yuffie still tends to switch to the main part.

Yuffie is so busted. I'm glad she's always been my favorite FF7 character and that the devs treated her gameplay so well.
Yuffie, tifa, cloud, and aerith were broken in the og too and was my main pt until disc 3. Makes wonder if Vincent will be broken like in og if you grinded long enough with dp.
the devs gave us minigame garbage and bullshit retry gameplay not repayable gameplay... you must not know all of gaming history and have a selective view. This game is the proof good graphics do NOT make for good gameplay. Square enix proves that A LOT!

Even if ff7 rebirth has a lot of mini games at least there is actual gameplay as well, x-2 now that game was nothing but mini games (least from what I remember).

Did it on my 2nd try. Got bit of problem with targetting the swan song wings, i did one of the comment saying do ninjutsu on 1 wing and thundaga on the other, blindstorm and thundaga, ninjutsu and thundaga again. It works! Thank you for the wonderful guide
Only takes thundaras to take out the wings. Picked that up in a different video
I really appreciate these so much, I like the detail you go into. Like with Tifa's I didn't know if you doge then attack that she'd charge straight to the enemy, or that Windstorm does different things depending if you throw the Shuriken. I also like that I don't have to be great at the Parrying. I suck at it, and other guides just expect you to be able to do it.

I dont ive ever done parrying here or revolved the guides around it, usually involves blocking or Counterfire (synergy skill), but no parrying.
I see so many games where its said you need to learn to perfect parry, yet i still manage to make these guides where we dont need to, like Lies of P, DMC5 (apparently you had to become a combo God, but not true).
Talking about DMC5, I think this may actually be harder

I just beat it today, and I didn’t know throwing and retrieving the shuriken affected moves like shooting star. I didn’t know it affected windstorm until I saw it on this guide
I went with swiftcast on my ice for those last two slots, and it worked well in that fight with the enemies and their arms. managed to get this on my second try (after adding the swiftcast), great guide! worked like a charm!

got him on my second try! thanks so much for your perfected strat's, actually used thundara on his wings during swan song, one cast and it destroys one wing. Took longer for me to stagger him but I got it done. Cait Sith here we go!

Extra paired slots? I always pair hp absorb with enemy skill. Plasma discharges... every atb gained will rebuild your health if close enough to an enemy

For king zu,
Immediately cast thundara on the 1st wing, it cripples it immediately
And then spam lightning ninjitsu on the 2nd wing to cripple it and build atb

2:24 Im sure you know this already, but for others, maping the windstorm to an rb+(button) i chose x. It makes it go faster. Just a suggestion. Throw with triangle then press LB and the button you mapped it to.

This man is the equivalent of "Let me Solo her" of FF7 Rebirth
This one wasnt too hard to beat. Died several times at the wolves until I got the pattern right. Everytime i kept hitting the throw or attack button an extra time and it would mess up the combo. Works great when you do it right. Only other one that got me several times was diabolic varient. Couldnt seem to keep the targetting on the arm. Id get about half damage on it and he would leap into the air and drop down on me. But that broke the target lock on his arm. Took about 4 tries before I was finally able to stagger him at the right time and then win exactly how you said to do it. King zu has always owned me in this game with that damn swan song. I was thinking he would get you in the video cuz I thought you had taken too long to break the wings but I think you just made it. In my case, I was having issues targetting the wing and it took me much longer. Both times he did it after breaking one wing, I thru the thundaga at the second one rather than risk starting over. It work out just as well doing it that way and he was down to a sliver of health after the 2nd swan song and stagger just like in your video. Great guid as usual. On to Cait sith

Just an FYI you can use those two slots to do swiftcast with wind. This will allow you to spam wind pretty quickly at the joker. He staggers very quickly and you don't even have to pressure him.
For those who have a problem with the targeting King Zu’s Wings (I did too. For some reason the targetting system here is a bit clunky unlike Remake), using 1 atb bar for blindside can help. Blindside counts as a throw allowing you to proceed to ninjutsu. The physical damage also is substantial and will help takedown the wing in no time.

First try again with your guide, my adaptation was using the suggestion from Gashanos (Swiftcast + Ice for the extra slots), using it on the Wolfs (killed 3 with the Blizzaga and the other with Limit Break) and for the King Zu, on the fisrt Swang Song I ninjutsu one and thundaga the second, and every other Swang Song I use Blindside and finish the wing with ninjutsu and do the same with the other one, it helps with the target and the initial damage is good making the time easier.
The only problem that I had was with the Diabolic thing that I was too fast and staggered it before the Enshadow, so it block it´s life and do the clones, but since it was at so low life I was able to push through.

I kept playing after I got through using your guides up to Aerith and managed to only have Cait Sith left, but this method is so much easier than how I used Yuffie 💀 lol Thank you for these tutorials, definitely wouldn’t have gotten this far without them!
Thanks man! Let me add, to make it a bit quicker, watch out for Banishment 3 ability. Once it filled up, you can use it to launch a devastating attack.

I see you and several other youtubers use magic focus twice with the same materia, yet I've noticed through rigorous testing that double magic focus doesn't stack even though it lights up blue.
(Btw thank you for your videos, they helped me a lot not only through these challenges but also to discover new ways to play with each character 😊 )

It works pretty well. I did bring time materia and healing. King Zu is not immune to stop, so after stopping the first swan song, I cast on him and haste on Yuffie. This locked him in the pressure state and even though I didn't stagger him right away, he wasn't spamming me with unblockable attacks.
Amazing how they made clouds solo challenge an absolute ball buster but all the other characters are relatively simple.

Combined your guide with another and got it on the first try. Not as fast as your run, but still complete!
Use the last 2 slots for ice and swiftcast. You can at boost and kill most of the wolves with a quick blizzaga and it makes getting the timing on that short pressure window in fight 3 easier
Instead of spamming Lightning Ninjastus on King Zu's wings during Swan Song, cast Thundara on each wing. Just two Thundaras are all that's needed, making the King Zu battle a lot easier and faster.
Another great guide :) got it on my 2nd attempt, i messed up and staggered the boss in round 2 before the purple fog haha but again it's doable without genji gloves for those who haven't done hard mode yet! Thanks for the help!
What would you use in place of Genji?
@@Panicatthepanic I think i was using Götterdämmerung because you're immune to all damage when you use the LB so that's always a bonus but anything do i guess. Good lucl!
Just so you know, you can get genji gloves in chapter 13 on a regular normal playthrough. No need to go through hard mode.

I find dodging towards and through the Jokers soul sucker is super affective. He practically has a blind spot with that attack.
Good one to use in the extra slots is swiftcast and lighting, when swan song happens just cast thunder on one wing then repeat easy win
So I was quite surprised to see you absorb the Firaga damage from the 3rd boss because I've equipped Elemental lvl 3 + Fire & Ice materia, and it completely fails to mitigate any fire damage. It hits me for about 4K. (Before anyone asks, yes the elemental materia is in a linked slot, in my ARMOR, and is level 3.)
I 100% know Elemental + "Fire & Ice" has blocked ice damage in the past. Does it ONLY work for Ice and not Fire? Or is this a bug of some sort? I see in your vid you only used a regular Fire materia, just wondering if that's the reason.
Same thing with the Wind and Lightning materia. During the Aerith bout, Elemental + Wind & Lightning was great at absorbing lightning from Quetzecotl on the final battle. But Yin & Yang's Thundaga's still did 3K damage to her. Literally the same setup. Lightning got absorbed from one fight but did damage to me in another fight. Any idea what could be causing that?
im not sure i recall exactly, it should work as i think i use double element + absorb materias in some vids, maybe a patch broke them since i played?
@@Optinooby Thanks for the reply! Yeah idk, it was super weird. I generally try out each of these fights on my own for a 5-10 attempts, and my base setup when going in blind is to include Elemental + Fire and Ice and Elemental + Wind and Lightning on 2 sets of linked armor slots, just to cover all the elemental bases defensively. And sometimes I'll get things using Thundaga and Firaga but still damaging me.
To fix on Yuffie, I literally just swapped my Fire + Ice with my Wind + lightning materias, and tried again. That time...all 4 worked properly. There's definitely some situation where it bugs out and doesn't work, but I'm not sure what causes it.

Swan Song is absurd. It inflicts Instant Death on everyone, but even if you wear something that protects you from Instant Death, it will do 9999 fixed damage. The only way to survive it is to have protection from instant death _and_ something with Reprieve. Easier just to stop him from using it altogether.
Interestingly enough, the assess seems to imply that if you attack it right after it finishes Swan Song, you can instant kill it. I'm not sure how you would do that though, as even if you survive it, it knocks you down for a long time. Maybe if you use Jump right before it finishes?
Yea i saw that, yea maybe jump instant kills it if timed right. Though ive tried jump occasionally and its pants
After losing to the Zu once due to the targeting, I had to make sure to go into Tactical Mode and ensure I was targeting the wings. Sounds dumb but good to use. A fully charged Thunderous Banishment was a beautiful finisher

Since you gave us the option to have two extra slots I really want to take some chances and have some fun here with a few options, my first instinct was to add more defense with vitality up plus a chakra for emergency but it doesn’t appear necessary. What does appeal to me is more damage with my spells, particularly ❤, would you say I would get more damage by adding 2 luck ups which would bring yuffie to an astounding 179 luck OR am I better off going with Ice plus Magic focus? Would really appreciate your thoughts here. Thanks for all the amazing content! 😊

With the Zu I did the thunder cast and doppelganger and took out a wing, then decided to do thundaga on the other wing since sometimes you lose time trying to aim ninjutsu attacks toward the wing, plus using the ATBs help with banishment

Did Cait and Red yesterday, because I did not want to wait, but Yuffie I could not get over the third enemy. With your build it was done eyes closed. Ridicilous. 🤣 The game has like 2 mods for hard: be incredible good with the combat system or solve the riddle for the best build/best timing for every challenge. I prefer your style. 😂
The enhanced Karmic Cowl is pretty handy in this one. Negates the insta kill attacks for the last two fights.
Yuffie seems easy. I'm still struggling with Red XIII. He's just so weak, it's like I can't cause any damage.

I don't know what's going on - I got pretty far on my first try pretty easily and then misunderstood how swan song works and got killed. That's my bad, now I realize you have to target the wings, for some reason I thought I had to dodge the fireballs until it stopped lmao. Anyway, now on every run, Joker keeps using those "card" attacks (club, spade, joker, etc) and I don't know what's triggering this. I don't think I'm doing anything differently, do you know what's going on?

Did this one on my second attempt. The thing that killed me on the first try? The wolves. I messed up the windstorm cycle. The rest, I did with ease.
Yuffie is one of my favorite characters to play in both Remake and Rebirth.
I expected Yuffie to be super easy, given how OP she is, but this was surprisingly tricky. Once again, Got through in under half-a-dozen tries.
Just wanted to point out if anyone has trouble on some of these, and specifically when killing the zu wings try using a spare atbbar for sonic boom, then continue as normal. The damage increase is very significant but the buffs only last 10 or 15 seconds
For the 2 extra armor slots, id recommend elemental + wind. Pretty much nulls any attack zu will throw at you.
You cant as we already have elemental+fire. I like to absorb fire for Zu as he does fire while charging swan song
Another banger vid, the worst part of this fight is the rng but it’s not terrible just might take a few restarts but least there quick if you have to restart
Out of curiosity, what do you have your lock on toggle set to mine is just pointing the right stick left or right and sometimes I can’t target certain body parts like that.
I think mine is the same, its just a bit awkward at times

I think I might need a better alternative approach for the Diabolic Variant. How do you control where the Ninjutsu aims? There's no way to cycle through targets with it. I remember that being a huge problem in the Intermission box breaking game which unfortunately they never found a way around... unless there's a way to control it that I'm missing?
EDIT: Never mind, beat it. It's still finnicky but I just made sure it was in sight before hitting lock on (even though I can still easily lose it).

Dumb question. How do I target the guys arm and keep it targeted? For some reason I cant get it to target and even when I R3 lock. Yuffie still tends to switch to the main part.
Just move the stick when locked, if he jumps in the air though, you will need to reaim onto the arm again
