There is a great video from a channel called polyester on how college broke America. There was a HARD push starting from the Reagan era to go to college, and they did it by claiming you will become a broke blue collar loser "do you want to end up flipping burgers?" They spent decades convincing people that anyone who doesn't go to college is less. So it is pure propaganda and that is what they are working off of. If someone wants a future and you tell them to become an elevator installer, they will go "ew", Meanwhile they make $100,000 a year.

I know why they think Trump is racist, but why do they think he's against gay people? He was the first president to pose with the pride flag, and he had a gay wedding at his house a few months ago. I've never heard of him saying anything negative about gay people.

Yes, it's an easy sell to the gays because the history of their treatment by conservatives so I sympathize, but that does not excuse the reactionary stupidity of default belief in such accusations in the face of no evidence of it. Trump is not perfect at all, but one candidate does have policies and the other one.... doesn't even have policies yet, and doesn't know how to solve the biggest problem in the US, inflation. I think this is a perfect example of how Gen Z has become SO obsessed with politics and its become extremely unhealthy. They are the first generation to literally be chronically online from a really young age, and there is something about this intense doom and absolute panic that comes along with their political rhetoric that is so bizarre. Yes, of course politics are important, and we need to discuss them.. but I have never seen a generation SO emotionally and mentally fixated on them to where it affects everything that they are and do. I think for them, there needs to be some balance, and they need to take a damn xanax. If they could step back and experience life outside of ideological screaming... they could actually relax a bit. Yes its so bizarre and concerning. I saw a reddit post the other day that was freaking out because if Trump won he's probably going to "let Isreal nuke Palestine" and will probably "deport people who support Palestine". She was genuinely concerned about this and there are so many others who are acting like this election is life or death. From what I've seen, they would rather be afraid and freak out than be reasonable and realize presidential elections really don't affect our day to day lives all that much.

Horrendous is a strong word for an entire group of people. I think you mean there are corrupt people on both sides, which I agree with. However, there is one side that has far far more corrupt and horrible people in it (Democrats in case it's not obvious). One side is actively and obviously working for our detriment. Where the other side has its struggles and imperfections but is at least at a campaign level trying to unite the people and fix the problems (Republicans).

As European,I find it strange, that as a massive country basically made of many countries, you have very little choice when it comes to voting government. Choose lesser evil is not a choice.
