This week we do a hard push to finish the internal stonework with the lime pointing. While pointing is tedious, we push hard and the transformation is astonishing.

As someone who discovered mice had peed on the roll of rubber foam insulation for my van, installed it anyway, and now gets to regret that decision every time the sun warms up the van ... I'm going to urge you to change any materials that got peed on 🤦‍♀️😢

Put a barrier where they can't go in you house. That's not good. Put up a line fence that has electric. If they touch it they'll get a zap. They won't die. Not a chain link fence but a line like cable. Just like I see on Freisian Horses in the Netherlands. she has Horses, and sheep. And they do not cross the zap line. Its strong enough to burn a blade of grass. It won't hurt the goats!

I must say you are a very hard working young man that does not seem to have an off button. I really do enjoy watching your videos and please no need to explain about not picking up the camera we all understand you have so much to do. You and the team working for you have such a good working relationship. And well the goats also come over to check on the progress.

You really need some temporary door frames with fence inserted to keep those goats out. It’s not just for now. They will keep coming back. Even when you’ve moved in if you keep doors open on sunny days.
    And talk to the owner.

A frame of wire fencing which can be placed in the doorways they enter should do it. We had a sheep problem at our farm when we were rebuilding it. As we too needed the air to dry things. Just propping it on the outside worked as they couldn’t figure out how to pull it down. The goats might be a bit wiser using their horns. So some heavy rocks likely needed.
Brady you’re so close! Can’t wait for next week after you’ve cleaned the stone and cleared out all of the waste.

Close things up with chicken wire at night otherwise hot wire the doors so that they get a spark and learn to stay out! Goats will stay out if they get a little electric shock.

When you move to a foreign country you must live with the habits of this country. In the alps it is normal to let the animals (goats, cows, sheep...) run free. If you don't want them on your land, put up a fence!!!
Don't expect that the people in the alps change their habits just because you don't like them.

I love the sound of some of the Italian I hear. Certain regional dialects and voices seem to naturally lend themselves to poetry, theater and opera. And you seem to be picking up on some of it - the way you paused and pulled your fingertips together as if about to kiss them to show excellence “it’s a room”. So Italian!

With all that Brady has learned throughout this process, I’ve got to believe that he can concoct a method for keeping out the goats. Maybe after all the crap they left, he’ll prioritize it more now. The house is looking gorgeous. I’m glad they did not pick the lighter mortar, the gray looks perfect.

That's enough goat poop for a week! How long were they in there? Maybe you could do something temporary, like put up an invisible fence and get the goat owner to add the devices to their collars. That might keep them out until you get your doors up.
