@@hanneliewiese3477 yeah, Nick's a lucky girl. Italians in general are good husbands, friends and very passionate. Love the way they lead their marriage based on respect and friendship. I know italians well🥰
I believe he'd rather work at home than at his now retired 'job'... ( My daughter works at home and dreads having to drive into work...on our Cali fwys.)
The house just keeps offering up surprises. Gosh that sunset practically screams 'move to Tuscany, Dan and Craig'. I'd go to the yoga retreat in a heartbeat. It's been nearly 40 years since I've been to Italy, and I'd prefer a structured type of experience, with yoga, shopping, new restaurants, and a group of friendly people. Carlo is MacGyver, truly.
Just so in awe of Carlo’s expertise with everything! I wish he could come to our house to fix it up (lol). So nice to get introduced to another brother and his partner. Hopefully they enjoy things enough to want to stay in Italy! Good luck!
Carlo's excitement over the prospect of becoming the carpenter, gardener and videographer was hilarious. He did a great job with the porch and I love Nicki's idea about running a family BnB so I hope it comes to fruition!
French Chef Jacque Pepin says "of course you use water to wash mushrooms, it is a myth not too" Porch is looking great Carlo, you are a master at carpentry. When we immigrated to Canada from Holland we were extremely poor and mom would insulate the walls against the cold Canadian winters with newspaper. I have never made risotto but might just try. Beautiful sunset, Hugs.
No wonder it was so hot and cold in that room, no insulation! It would be nice to have folding glass doors that you could open and close. Best of both worlds!
To close a veranda in Italy you need special permits, because the size of the house changes and therefore you have to pay heavier taxes. I was even wearing my Positano Diaries sweatshirt. Maybe next time I will run into you. I promise I am not stalking you. Tuscany is amazing. I can see why you bought your house there. My husband and I was in Positano 3 years ago. We walked in the “Path of the gods” trail and when we were back on the streets, we saw Nicki and Carlo. I was really surprised to see her coz at that time I already follow her on IG and YT.
Like everyone here- what is it that Carlo can’t do?? Everything looks amazing! And you’re great at decorating and making your home so cozy. ❤I’m glad your brother and his partner loved it. Hopefully they move to Tuscany and join you. Your videos are my mini get away on Sunday mornings!
I laughed when Carlo found the papers which were stored in the walls, and said that they were probably used for insulation! The verandah seems to be coming along nicely, and I am looking forward to the final outcome 😊
Dan and Craig are so cute together. I love that they synchronize some of there moves (walking in town, take a picture simultaneously and turning around at the same time, on the outlook their arms up at the same time...). I am happy you have family visiting and I'm sure Carlos family will follow. 🫶
It is a good thing you both decided to take down those walls. What a fire hazzard; what a hazzard all together! With all that rotten wood, the columns could have easily fallen. Thankfully, you and Carlo have great taste as well as great instincts. Things have been looking beautifully there from the start, and it was hard to imagine how it all could get even better, but it has❤ You two make an awesome team. What I enjoy most about watching you and Carlo is how important family (fur babies included of course) are to you❤ Stay Joyful❤
Fantastic job, Carlo, you are a wonderful man, very talented. Love seeing what you design next. It was quite funny when the papers fell out the wall xx
Looks like a french drain would be good in the ground around the base of your new to be sunroom(otherwise the first rain will be a river down those steps and into the house.
Finally! To see someone make risotto how my nonna made it! Peasant food she called it, but she lived until 90 years, so fed her well throughout her life xx
Risotto looked so delish. Many years ago my Italian grandmother picked some mushrooms in our area. She added to a dish for a family gathering. Well, they were not eatable, all my relatives came down very sick & had to visit a local hospital. I’ll never forget that story!
Your dear Carlo is a genius, what he has done to that back room PRICELESS. Yes would be nice if they moved out your way and opened a lifestyle shop. I loved seeing San Gimignano such a cute little town. Always look forward to your videos………..🤗🇨🇦
I like that with every project, you and Carlo turn this house into a genuine home that reflects your personalities so well. I imagine it was wonderful having your brother there to share your blessings and show him so many positive attributes to living in your 'neck of the woods'. Perhaps we'll soon find out how well you 'sold' him on living there lol! Once again, thank you for your great videos and hope you enjoy the week ahead. Take care.
Nicki & Carlo, you are so beautifully talented, gracious and pleasant to watch. I admire all your endeavors and wonderful and simple life you’ve created for your entire family to enjoy. It’s endearing and very inspiring! Also, I luv the new back porch! It’s going to be so fun to enjoy the views and gatherings with family and friends. It really “brought the outside in”! I hope you have a drain or protection when it rains, due to the downward slope of the stairs to your home. You two darlings are smart, so maybe I didn’t see it? I hope and send wishes that your brother joins you in Tuscany! Oh Wow! It will really be a treat! I can’t wait to see what else you pull out from your “Carpet Bag”! The new porch area looks STUNNING! Well done, Carlo. Sure it's lovely to have your brother and his partner with you - you're a lucky lady. As Gary Player once said, "The harder I work, the luckier I get!" Well done, you.
Nice to see your brother hope he comes to stay near you and your dreams come true! Carlo has done a superb job on the porch the new opened up porch with the views is really good! Finding all those papers wall ate up my homework loved that😂 Now the house is yours what you think that matters not the old owners!

Haves enjoyed your channel for some time now. Have loved every single episode!.. this one struck a chord with me, though, & warmed my heart. You and Carlo remind me of my husband and me as we passed the years together raising our family, and with each house we bought, worked together to make each one a home. Wonderful to see your dad again for his visit and great to meet Dan and Craig. How could they not love Tuscany and want to move there. Thank you for the wonderful videos. I so look forward to them.
Your home is lovely. Carlo can do amazing things fixing up your home and always with a smile. Most of all, I love the way all of you LOVE your two precious dogs. Your videos are a joy to watch.

What beautiful sunsets. That would be lovely if your brother moved out there too and set up a yoga studio. Carlo is so good at doing all the alterations, your porch is going to look lovely. 😁
The place on the piazza won price for best ice cream many years ago. I was in San Giminiano last time 7 years ago. I used to go horse riding in Barberino Val delsa/ San Filippo with a friend who’s sadly is no longer with us. In the afternoon, during the siesta we’d go to SG, only 10 min away, for lunch and ice cream. This used to be in April before massive tourist season. I love this area of Tuscany. Lovely memories.
@@alessandrom7181 I know it’s not called siesta in Italy, but there are a few hours of calm in the afternoon where everything is closed, apart from trattorias, coffee bars and ice cream shop. I tend to refer to it as siesta, although it’s not. As a Swede I have 30-45 minutes between 12 and 13. The calm between 14 and 16 we meet in Italy is 💕
These two just make everywhere they live pure blissful soothing nature paradise hehe 🌸✨️ I feel you both really know how to enjoy life, nature, and beauty of Italy! If there was a Yoga retreat, I can imagine it would be the most beautiful paradise of bliss and zen! You can do healthy food and all sorts od detoxes, just what people need todat! And of course you would have lots of customers, as for sure it would give us all- your followers a reason to visit and enjoy this beautiful, slow life atmosphere 😊 🩷🌸✨️
🇨🇦What a difference the porch made! Carlos did a great job on it. A stunning view too. I think where you live in Tuscany is a perfect area for a yoga retreat.
Carlo was so right about taking down the walls, as a covered patio will be far more useful now. And the view is gorgeous! Surely Dan and his partner enjoyed their visit. What’s not to love about Italy, generally, and Tuscany, in particular? Yoga retreats sound amazing. I hope it becomes a reality! Cuddles to your fur babies!

Always so much fun to watch your house projects. You are so lucky to have a husband that can do everything ! Fingers crossed for you that your brother and his partner move closer to you
I am salivating over your mushrooms. If I lived there I would go mushroom foraging all the time in the fall. Here that mushroom is called a King Bolete and the odd time I find it I jump for joy. What a sunset at the end! And as always, Carlo does amazing work on the property. Ciao.
That was very timely, as I bought rice the other day to make a mushroom risotto for the first time! Great idea to get rid of that room/annex, love the railings!

What a GREAT IDEA ❤
To close a veranda in Italy you need special permits, because the size of the house changes and therefore you have to pay heavier taxes.
Been feeling down hearted today. Seeing your video pop up has lightened the load. At 46 seconds into the video, you standing on the hill above your head is a Dove 🕊 cloud formation of PEACE! A sign that we all so need this Peace in our world 🌏 Much Love and Peace to you! 💞🫒 💞🫒 💞 🫒
I have to commend you your dedication and commitment to utube has made you great. I always appreciate your videos
Absolutely gorgeous sunsets! That was fun with Dan and Craig and I'm sure you hope they'll move to Tuscany so you can have family nearby. Carlo did a super job with the woodworking project and that Portebello risotto looked delicious! Thanks for sharing, Jenny
Always so much fun to watch your house projects. You are so lucky to have a husband that can do everything ! Fingers crossed for you that your brother and his partner move closer to you
What an enjoyable family film! Your bro and his chum look like twins! As for Carpenter Carlo I am just full of admiration. XXX
I am salivating over your mushrooms. If I lived there I would go mushroom foraging all the time in the fall. Here that mushroom is called a King Bolete and the odd time I find it I jump for joy. What a sunset at the end! And as always, Carlo does amazing work on the property. Ciao.
Was lovely seeing San Gimi again. I was there 10 years ago and the queue to the gelato shop was the same then 😂😂
Carlo & Nicki are great Creators of their Life!❤️
The house keeps evolving to different areas to enjoy!🏘️🎋🍄🟫
The Sunset is stunning!
That is going to be the most lovely house when you are finished with it. I wish I could do the things Carlo does.
That was very timely, as I bought rice the other day to make a mushroom risotto for the first time! Great idea to get rid of that room/annex, love the railings!
I need some Carlo! This man can fix everything and always so nice, smiley and polite! The porch looks great! Hello from Illinois!
Nicki and Carlo always happy and sharing your space so generously with all🐾👍👏
