Really nice! I'm gonna start using blue to colour shadows so I can just lower the opacity with the multiply layer. It'll help me get some values in my work without having to worry too much about picking shadows colours

You shouldn’t rlly always use blue though when shading shadows, it really depends on the area the character is in, and I’d suggest doing some studies on it as well
Maybe you should shade using a warm color, mixing cold and warm makes it look slightly messy. No hate though! You're art is beautiful.

This is nice, but as a digital artist myself as well you don’t wanna usually aim for purple more blue or reds. Only because purple would need to bounce off something in the background for it to actually be on the skid as a shadow or even highlights. But great try though. 😊
yeah tbh this tut is kinda old, i dont really use super purple shadows too much now, altho i love how it looks on darker black skin colors >:D
@@Veronica047 See on people with darker skin you would use purple instead of blue. Yeah but it’s still good. Nice job. 😊

Sooo- rendering is just coloring shading and lighting in one word?
its basically the process of making a 2 dimensional thing like a sketch and flat colors, to making it 3 dimensional with shading and lighting etc.... so yes 💀

How do you color only inside??
Its a clipping layer, you fill what you wanna color in with white, and then clip another layer to that, creating a border. Its an affect i use for making videos, not part of the tut :]

@samstroke3747 ohhh i made a white layer under the lineart that fills the whole face, then i add a layer on top of that one and clip it to the white layer, then i just pick the base color and color it in when on the clipped layer. That should fill in only the areas the white was colored in. Sorry if this is confusing 😭

yeah, rending is basically kinda the process of making a 2d thing seem 3d, so yeah shading, and ofc your stylized color to the skin, lineart, etc.
