Sprocket Girls | Leader Ladies

Apparently these test or control pictures were known as “Lillies”. Hollywood legend tells us that one of the first girls was named “Lilly”. They were also called “China Girls” because some labs used ceramic figurines for the test frames. After having the opportunity to sift through an old 16mm film collection that sat in the back of an Antique store I decided to keep a record of these frames as I found them. My own film collection also offered additions.
