Halloween Horrorama on Harbourside 2015
You hold down F button at top while inserting the film but manual says press it when film reaches buttom suprocket and release immediatly. Which is correct?
Always liked Harvey's burgers
I came to live in Toronto in April 1986 and OH how i miss Yonge Street when it was like this! The open arcades were up and down the street and it was an incredible time for a young man just starting out and coming from the country side.
So clean. No immigrants.
Ontario Place was amazing, so much fun. Bumper boats were it and running through those huge punching bag like things and getting hit real hard? OOOF!! lol Another thing about these videos, always makes me wonder how the people lived out their lives and what happened to them and being a huge non-human animal lover, I always felt bad for the ones in the zoos. It didn't feel right to me even as a kid. 😟💔💔 2:45 that Polar Bear walking back shaking its head, no doubt going crazy locked up. No different than if we were locked up in a small room for the rest of our lives.
I'm back... 6:42 for me, Cinesphere and Ontario Place were EVERY kid's dream. So much fun there.
ua-cam.com/video/dZDjS0SyjnA/v-deo.html what is that place or was it? 3.59 in the video ..
Roy Thomson Hall
The good old days! Before the Apocalypse of Justin Trudeau and the invasion of Muslim land and the Woke Movement! Sorry folks! I'm NOT apologizing! 🇨🇦
Before we were ruined by technology.
So clean and white.
Toronto, and canada isnt the same w justin running the show
Too many spongies now
Geez......"Turkey in the Straw"? Couldn't they find a more urban song?
thank you for posting this, it helped me figure out how to load it!
Great posting! This is the Toronto I remember... just not the music! lol
C'mon now! That music is world class.Just like our architecture and urban planning.
Nice!
Good old days gone forever.
Toronto in the Commodore-64 era. A great summer to turn thirteen years old.
I love the TTC PCC trolleys
Back when it was safe to ride your bicycle from Mississauga to downtown as a kid.
Still is
thank you - good summary
Wow that makes a lot of racket !! but pretty neat.
Much better being a kid in the 80s. I still walk through Ontario place and there are part of the log ride still there with trees and grass growing in the slides. Such a shame but the hype went away.
What company distributed these two digests? -- was it Mountain?
Not sure on this one. Most of the leader was missing and the soundtrack was in German. I redubbed the magnetic track to English.
Why Is There No Sound
Different film and camera were needed that were quite expensive.
Ur finger is in the way of the final loading part. Like damn waste my time who wants to see a hand
Yep, that's it! I'm jest an old hippie! Remember the concerts at High Park? Good times for certain!
1:14 the gull is long gone, but he lived at the right time... so many great memories of Toronto back then as a kid, best time to experience it back then. Today it seems like everyone is watching their screens, hard pass for me. Would do anything to go back in time to those days.
The gull is alive and well. Saw it the other day
I had this projector and loved the sound quality especially. Then it developed a short in it and started blowing new bulbs prematurely if not instantly. Into the garbage it went!
I was 15 when this was shot. So many memories of Toronto. Thanks for posting.
Likewise: it was an incredible time to be a teenager, and Toronto was so safe, clean, and vibrant.
No sound?
I just bought one. Works well but can’t get the film to focus. Turned the focus knob each way. No luck. Tried two reels and I’m out of ideas. Any suggestions?
Just think about the size of the video camera this guy was using to capture all this!
I spent all my summer holidays in Canada, London Ontario to be precise, however 1986 I spent the entire year there and experienced all the seasons, spending, half of 86 though I spent in Toronto and what a place back then so I can't imagine what it is like now,
Not the same at all, just keep those good memory's close to your heart, because all that of what you remember is long gone.
@@D33Lux really....that is a great shame, i know as you get older & wiser you start to see more of the not so nice side of life, but thought Toronto would hold onto some pleasantness
Just immigrants and homeless people now.
The background music is reminiscent of the 'notebook' segue from the show Blue's Clues
This is 1986 but filmed with an 1960s camera
Yes, camcorders were the device of Choice by 1986 I didn't realize they were still making Super 8 movie film then.
1986 seems like a long time ago
Came for the visuals … stayed for the groovin’ tune!
Stay upwind.
2:41 I remember I used to always see the Good Year blimp.
I'm thinking 70's I'm getting a late 70s's vibe ✌
It says in the description that it was shot in the 60's and early 70's. I think by the 70's people ditched the look where they tie a string, or a dress tie, etc around their forehead, and I saw that in this video so my guess would have been the 60's.
The golden age of Ontario, thanks for posting .
Molson Fleet Street still there. Going to 5:47 in 1 hour. Heh. I remember the Lancaster at 7:55.
the year i arrived in the city...all the way from northern sask...eyeLoveTO
I still have that unit, never lets me down. I don't think I've ever even changed the bulb. I should try to sell it on Ebay, but I doubt anyone would want it.
I just bought one of these off ebay for 100 bucks.
Good stuff
i was 14 coming home from school watching the 20 minute workout...and two more ...that brunette with curly hair was my favorite...
She played Linda Hamilton's, (Sarah Connor's) room mate, Ginger in The Terminator. She was a hot one.
Bess Motta.
I was 22 in 1986. Ahhhh, to be 22 again. Had so much energy and ambition.
So you're 58?
I was 26!
I was in my prime when I lived in Toronto in the 1980s. I had "so much energy" - and my sex drive was so much HIGHER!
Not gonna lie, this shit choked me up, but i didn't cry. Mama didn't raise no bitch! Super 8, was like 280p quality. HUGE thumbs up for uploading this, you're a legend!
Nostalgia is powerful
Crying is fine, it's in you for a reason. Holding it back, ehh, not so much. When Mama passes away, you're not gonna cry?
Ahhhh ... downtown T.O. in the 80s! Remember Nuts & Bolts... ?
The head shops and arcades AND most of all, the Record stores!!
Yes
To really get to know downtown T.O. you gotta live there ... see it, breathe it, smell it, feel it. Worked at the TD Centre in the 80s ... had a condo at Yonge & College. Now that was fun!
Nutz and Bolts.....club Focus?
