"It looks good in the distance" is my trademark. 😂 Vinyl on masks as a DIY isn't the easiest thing to make look perfect (especially without the correct type of vinyl for the contours of the mask) so yeah, yours came out pretty decent, especially for your first time.
Kinda bummed that the materials werent the best for it, but a good way for others to avoid the same mistake. Redid the mask with straight chrome lines and the gloss black vinyl and no issues
Exactly what I tell my kids masks I do locally. I tell them to look at the masks from the 90’s. They’re basic but you can tell what it is from the stands.
We use Custom Cages, but they haven’t been very good get to no back to us, so this is a nice alternative for us. My son likes adding German things to his mask, since his mom has German on her side of the family. Usually turns out pretty cool.

You are never too old to do what you like to do. After a break of 25 years, I have now started again as a goalie. I am now 39 years old. So like I said, you're never too old to do it and be good at it if you really want to
I didn't know how to skate until I was 30 years old. I'm now 37 years old and playing hockey year round. I can't get enough of it! It's a great escape from the trials of life. nothing else matters while I'm skating the only thing that matters to me while I'm out there is not giving up the game winner. So with that being said. No it's never too late to start doing something you love! Best wishes!
The carbon vinyl i probalbly need heat fore the glue to activate. And i think with some heat the silver tape would be more pleasant to work with. Just a tip from an SHL fan:)
And some viunyls have glur that only activates when it hits XX degres then you probably can get rid of the pealing situation. How much and with what? i thnik i have had some simular tjep and i needed to heat it plenty. witch a heatgun not hairdryer :P @@KasimirKaskisuoOfficial

A couple clear coats of lacquer over the top to seal the edges helps to stop the vinyl from lifting too
My hubbys beer league needs a tendy. But you would have to try out.

Have you thought about a Cricut to cut the vinyl? Thinking about pulling the trigger on one.

yeah hit that thing with a blowdryer for a few minutes then try to smooth out the tape. see if it helps.

Sounds silly but using cricut vinyl works amazing and it comes in lots of colors and patterns like carbon fiber looking. Never did me wrong ever
