Stafford is one of those QBs who was never really top 3 or top 5 but more like barely top 10 but his longevity, his toughness and the ability to comeback for a Detroit franchise that no one thinks was being run well just won people over the long haul and his Super Bowl win kind of made him a made man.
@@ChefJoelbonilla Injuries Rams had a 3-6 start because injuries they went on that run last year when they got healthy Stafford was a big part of that run. Almost beat the Lions in the playoffs too except the refs some how missed that Pass intererence hold on Puka.
IMO no one is disputing Stafford's career achievements in regards to HOF credentials. That said all the criticism directed towards Goff as a Ram is certainly applicable to Stafford as he ages. His performance vs the Dolphins highlighted a problem that is only getting worse as he ages. His ability to perform deteriorates markedly under pressure. His red zone miscues, this INTs are clear to anyone who watches the Rams. In a clean pocket yes he's a top 10 QB. But that drops off a cliff when under pressure in the same way Goff was criticized in LA but Stafford isn't.
Goff had red zone issues too! Even with gurley who is considered much greater than kyren Williams is thus far. I think it is a mcvay issue so far since two good QBs with possible hall of fame credentials are struggling with it.
Matt Stafford is 103-112-1 in his career. He hast spent 15 years losing because he throws too many interceptions, specifically interceptions in the endzone. His career pass completion % when not passing to Cooper Kupp or Calvin Johnson is actually pretty terrible. But hey he plays in Los Angeles so he's kind of good because the Rams are 5-5.
No it’s because the lions sucked so bad, he only had Calvin Johnson that’s it. One receiver isn’t gonna be open all the time and he had no one else then.
You have no idea what your talking about, Stafford is the reason his receivers have been able to play so well in their careers. His career win/loss record is so bad because he was on the lions for so long. As a qb you can’t play at an elite level without a good supporting cast and Stafford had nobody other than Megatron in his lions career.
Stafford for SURE will and deserves to be 1st ballot HOFer!!!
Aaron Rodgers was asked a few years ago who he thought had the best arm now. He said Stafford. He can launch it. 😊🎉❤
One of the best loved him in Detroit!!!
I remember Matt Stafford being drafted. I remember watching his rookie season. He is in the top 20 QB's of all time

"Barely top 10"??? That dude's been top 5 for a long time, which is very impressive considering where Detroit was at while he was there.
Terrible take 😂 barely top ten..?
you no watch the football
Ha, just two weeks ago Patrick was slamming Stafford and the RAMS. Disingenuous much? 😂😂😂
Go Rams!
Because he's not on the Lions anymore so we're allowed to praise him.
Staffords play doesn't make him under rated. The rams Record does
How is he struggling under mcvay
I think his advance stats aren’t all that great but an old qb needs a solid o line to be successful

Half the rams roster was injured to start the year and most of those injuries were on his o line 😂
@@fred-s7e Caleb Williams needs an O-line too.. Mahomes needed one, watch the bucs SB loss..everyone does. Sick of this argument. It's a team sport.
Leinart's sound mix is terrible. Tinny af and grating on the ears
Because he plays on a team that doesn't have fans even in there stadium so how are subpost to get recognized
Top 2 and he ain’t 2! 😡😤
Leinart gave about as good of an interview as his NFL play was… Just a whole lot of nothing. “That’s a great question.” Then proceeds to ramble.

Every qb in the league struggles with a bad o line 😂 what kind of idiotic take is that
No.
Probably the most overrated of all time because he throws a "pretty" ball
"pretty" thats a new one. I would say "rocket"
Matt Stafford is accurate passer
What an idiotic statement 😂..

Jealous of his SB win and HOF locked career. hahahahahahahahaa
@@Tdog290 The Rams were 5-12 in 2022. The Rams are 5-5 now. Matt Stafford is Matt Stafford.
Wins aren’t a QB stat.
