Amazon sells a collapsible kitchen trashcan that mounts to the side of a cabinet people use it for dumping scraps of vegetables and fruit that they cut while prepping for dinner and fold flat after you remove the trash bag

Charnière: hinge pour une / hinges pour plusieures. Lots of love and light.

I like the way you say drawers and everything else!

Add some extra USB ports for lights.. there’s heaps of USB light options. Drawer organisers or drawer partitions might be a solution for you.

Yes the usb ports are definitely really useful, my banana LED is actually powered by USB. And you're right drawer organisers and partition should be the best solution, I have to dive into the project.

I was talking to an other builder, just the other day, about how so many van builders forget about the trash can😄 As well as myself. I think I still have time to fix something.
Think of is as dråårs instead of dråyörs. Only one syllable. 😉👍
    Bisous!

Don't worry about your pronunciation, it's charming! Plus, it's not like native English speakers pronounce French words perfectly. Grenouille is my personal nemesis.

Hi Nikolas, drawers is simply pronounced "draws". The "er" is silent. The spelling is simply to distinguish it from "draw a picture". Great vid, by the way, thanks for the tips!

Hello Tom, thank you for your comment, it is a good tip, I will try to think about that now, I'm sure it will help my pronunciation :) Thank you again.

Not where I am from LOL!! We pronounce the r at the end...Drawer rhymes with boar, soar, more etc.

I was just going to comment the same thing! Many native english speakers actually mis-spell the word because they don't realise that it is spelled with a silent "er" on the end

Thanks for sharing! I'm sure I won't do those mistakes now 😅 especially the one with the drawers, I was about to make the same 😂🤫 about the light situation: have you thought about some fairy lights powered by batterie? Quick and easy to install (and to de-install, if you don't like it), quite affordable and something to try before you may decide for something solid one day.
    Greetings 💝

Hello Caro. Happy that the video have been useful for you and thank you for your comment. Oh yes the fairy lights seems to be a good alternative also, I still would love to install the dimmer, but it's definitely a great idea in the mind time :) Thanks for sharing !

Love your videos. Those little things are called hinges. ;) Probably a good idea for your bench! ;) I am thinking of using Hemp in our newest van build after seeing how you did it, just not sure yet. Keep those videos coming! Continuez à faire du bon travail

Hi Nikolas, your english is fine, easy to understand. to say drawers, do not pronounce the e, it is silent, so, say draw ss.

Allo Nico !

Very sensible upgrades :) in your tour the van seemed so thoroughly designed, I'm surprised you ran into issues. We can never foresee everything..
Are the back pillows of your benches comfortable and is it easy to get in/out of the benches?

    • @NikolasPulka
      @NikolasPulka  3 роки тому

Yes it never can be perfect on paper, but to be honest, that small issues that you became picky with time, I'm extremely happy with my van layout, but of course after 1 year living in it full time, you will always find stuff that you can to improve :p and that's the fun part of van life also.
Yes yes it's quick easy to get stuff in and out. In one beanch I store lot of food that last for long, like coconut can, beans etc... and on the other just some grocery bag, or seasonal clothing, so I don't open the second one often, but I open the first one a lot.

  • @vociferonheraldofthewinter2284

It's been two years so you may have found a solution to the issue with pronouncing 'drawers.' I have the same problem with "worcestershire". I'm in my 50's and it's incredibly frustrating to be dealing with this all my life. A lovely young lady on tiktok helped me so much. She said disconnect what you see from what you hear. Just delete the reading of the word and LISTEN. She then said the word clearly and slowly a half a dozen times, pausing for the viewers to do as she did.
It worked! I still have to consciously pause, delete the written word, and pull on the sound only, but I can do it right every time.
See if you can find a video or an audio of someone saying it and listen (and repeat) what you hear over and over again. It took me about a month to get it. I don't know why this ONE word was just beyond me. smh
Just know that you're not the only one. You speak more languages than most Americans, so I doubt that anyone is judging you for struggling a bit. You could mangle 100 words and most of us wouldn't have the right to even think anything bad. ;-)
