Hi there, my name is Eero Westerberg and I am the head coach of VAHVA Fitness. My specialty lies in mixing the Western and Eastern knowledge of health and fitness together into a combination that actually works, is proven and produces real tangible results.
I developed my methods by studying health & wellness and strength & conditioning for over a decade and by working as a professional in the field for over 8 years. Together with my training partner Samuli, we also traveled the world for over 4 years researching different ancient methods of strengthening and taking care of the human body.
Our programs and courses are well praised and endorsed by countless personal trainers, teachers and coaches, PhDs in physical therapy, physiotherapists, martial artists, recreational and professional athletes and many others just to name a few.
Although our training goes deeper than the surface and offers unique ways of developing the body and realizing one's potential, we also have complete beginners starting out with our methods.
It doesn't matter whether you are in the beginning or at advanced stages in your physical journey, sky is the limit for all of us and we all want to look better, feel better and most importantly move better.

Most of the Muay Boran styles teach this. In Thailand it stems from the Thai greeting (wai). People also wai when apologizing or or not wanting trouble. So it is a non agressive guard. It is likely part of many SE Asian styles. I've seen some Silat styles using it too.

Yes, that's something you'll find in Silat too. In Silat it's called _hormat_ which simply means 'salutations'.
In Silat, it's the _gelek_, i.e., the torsion of the hip, that generates power While the hands mostly just orbit around the elbows for blocks, parries and strikes. Both shoulders and elbows are kept low, the latter protecting the lower ribs and the liver and spleen.

Fedor used this type of guard against Cro Cop to protect and parry the high kicks. I think that some of this is actually too 'fancy', but as the legend said, "take what's useful and discard the rest."

yeah! this technik is huge once you mastered it ⚔Muay Boran being very close to Indonesian Silat but still simplified ⚔ it not only the art of using triangle patterns with arms to defend or attack the opponent but more the art of using triangle motions for stepping away or getting into opponent moves like in Wing-Chun (as stated here!) n mostly in Penchak Silat (n then Krav Maga being an 🇮🇱 clone of Silat) where these ancient techniques are the core approach of the fighting system 💣it is IMO (n my experience of 2 decades of MA all over the world) the most deadly n powerful techniques ever created for Kombat (especially when used with some secret small weapons 🧙‍♀) 🔥

Not true at all. warriors who are either in the hindu or buddhist faith they belong into Varna system. In the past, there were religious clashing. The word Muay Boran didn't start appearing around the 1900s. Anything before that the Thai call it "Muay" but before there was ever a Thai kingdom. The Kingdoms from Cambodia and Burma were dominating mainland Southeast Asia. The Malay peninsula had various kingdom until the Malay finally dominated that area. The Tai were in China and migrated to Yunan from Guang Xi. The Hmong did take a similar route but ended up in Laos. These two groups didn't recieve any indian influences until they seek asylum and refuge. The reason behind it, it is because they were intruded by Han chinese rulers. Some of their villages were under chinese hegemony and later the Mongols.

The namaste hand prayer posture is one of submission and surrender, there is no doubt about this. It is descended from the way victors once tied up the losers. The losers were now slaves. Their hands and fingers were tied with jute so they appeared to be in perpetual supplication.
That's a fact. Thanks for sharing with us. All the best.

Triangle, square and circle... That are ways of movement/thinking/attack or defense. From easier to harder. Triangle is more aggressive,it intercepts and penetrates. Square is much more stable and defensive and the circle relates more to grappling and or evading and counter atacking. And ofc they are not just "one style" you use the three of them combined. You can think of that as bs and you would still be doing it without knowing. Its not as obvious as in the video but if you think about it we all move in only 10 directions like a cross and and X and up and down.

Tai Chi is crane and snake. The bill of the crane is represented by the first posture, praying. You can poke with it on the inside, and with a slight adjustment, the fingertips at right angles instead of touching, is the push to the body and a great two handed block for kicks or heavy hitters, it will stop anything. The pokes are very strong and give new meaning "to the point".Meditation.
