So I told them which ferry to go there but they looked at me as if I were a scammer. 😅 I thought they might visit Thailand for the first time. I totally understand. I can't agree more about how you feel living here. I always feel like I'm in home whenever returning back to here from other countries.
I suggest you go to one of my favorite place. It is Suan Mok Krungthep. It is a serene place with a coffee shop, a meditation room, and a place to sit and chill. The place is near Central Ladprao and it is Suan Rot Fai. It is also close to Chatujak Park.
Hi kdrama lover, I'm a Turkish woman mid 30s who also just moved in Bangkok last month. I learned many things from my old office works. Do something before being too late also why not. In here life is more cheaper of course and more delicious, exciting. Discovering a new culture\country is an extra beauty. I also choose Thailand because close to all other asian countries, so reachable. I'm trying to do my remote job too lately. Hope everything goes well for both of us and for who needs luck.
I shared the same sentiments too. I have been traveling to Bangkok almost every 2 months. I enjoyed myself in Bangkok and am very eased and happy during my stay. Am planning to move to Bangkok.
Thanks for making your life changing decision just to be here! Welcome to be a part of our community. Thais are genuinely kind and flexible. You will truely find something to give your life a real value while living here. Just be a bit more patient with the culture shock. You are actually one big step forward! All the best ;)
The statement @ 1:30 hits the nail on the head. I'm from Germany and currently in Bangkok, same cultural background as you btw. People back home don't understand how addicting traveling can be, they get their 2 weeks all inclusive vacation and are happy with their life. But if you seek adventure, life in western Europe is not where you can get it. Second time in Thailand and next trip in January to Malaysia. China is such an underrated place if you seek your own adventures, first time in 2017 and hopefully making it back in 2025.
I'm coming to Bangkok for the first time in December for a month. This came up on my feed after finding out I'm going there in Dec, and I haven't been back in over a decade so it's great to hear about BKK recently. Thanks for sharing.
Yes you hit on a few good points that are often not mentioned by other youtubers living in SE Asia - primarily that you are more active, doing more activities, experiencing more, always learning, and really just constantly walking, exercising, interacting with locals and expats. Then when you go back home, people go back to their usual, mundane routine. That's a big part of what makes Asia more exciting, it is a completely magical world and you live a totally different life there.
