I think the special thing about Thailand is the Thai people, they care about other people's feelings and are friendly even if they don't know each other. I think this is a unique feature that is different from other places. This is hard to explain until you experience it by self
Thank you. I’m Thai, once I met western family by the pier and they wanted to go to the other side of Chaopraya river with lots of questions on their faces but they didn’t ask anyone. So I told them which ferry to go there but they looked at me as if I were a scammer. 😅 I thought they might visit Thailand for the first time. They were not wrong, actually as a scammer I needed them to pay me big smile.😊
I'm from western Europe and everything you said is spot on! Thailand really is a magical place. I'm doing everything I can to move there aswell eventually. Western Europe is a really depressing place compared to Thailand.. Can't wait to come back
Yes you hit on a few good points that are often not mentioned by other youtubers living in SE Asia - primarily that you are more active, doing more activities, experiencing more, always learning, and really just constantly walking, exercising, interacting with locals and expats. Then when you go back home, people go back to their usual, mundane routine. That's a big part of what makes Asia more exciting, it is a completely magical world and you live a totally different life there.
love this, thank you! yes.. at home people are not interacting that much and european lifestyle is so different in my opinion. Anything is possible here haha
This came up on my feed after finding out I'm going there in Dec, and I haven't been back in over a decade so it's great to hear about BKK recently. Thanks for sharing.
I'm coming to Bangkok for the first time in December for a month. Ive watched hundreds if not thousands of videos about Bangkok and Thailand in general.I feel like I have a pretty good idea about what to expect but I wont know if I love it until my feet are finally on the ground there. I love watching videos like this because it reinforces my beliefs that Bangkok is an amazing place and gets me excited about coming there. Thanks for the video. Maybe I'll see you vlogging on the streets there and come say hi. I'll be doing the same. 😂
love that for you! When I first came I really didn't know anything, hadn't even seen video's honestly. Don't think too much and allow yourself to be surprised when you come here! 😊 you'll love it
Thanks for sharing all that. I understand what you mean about living in Bangkok. I always seem to come home with a great big smile on my face. Life is good here.
I visited so many times in Thailand. I felt Thailand is my second home. Trying to move to Thailand for long time within this year from India. I am 100% agreed with you 👍. Sending love and hugs from India 🇮🇳 ❤🤗
First video I've seen from your channel as it popped up on my feed. Exactly my thoughts on Bangkok as well - I spent a couple of months there earlier in the year and am looking to head back next month for another extended period. I'm similar to you in the sense that I'm not both feet in yet but more of a trial (My home is in Melbourne though). Pursuring the freelance/remote work path too. Actually surprising for me was the amount of Dutch people I met while I was over there, but good to see neitherless. Sub'd to see where your journey goes !
We have so many things in common that I feel we could be friends if we were in the same place. K-dramas and mango smoothie lovers rejoice! On that note, I just finished Vagabond and absolutely loved it. 😄
There is something very special about Bangkok. I know exactly what you mean about that feeling of anything's possible here. The people, the culture . . . hope for the future is palpable here, while it's so satisfying to enjoy every moment, no matter how simple. This is such a nice video, thank you💞
Well done (for building your remote job)! and glad you like the version you have become in Thailand 🎉 Welcome to Thailand 🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭 😇 / subscribed to your channel!
Oh no don't say that. Know how fortunate you are to be able to do that! Many people would like to switch places with you. Enjoy and eventually come back to Thailand ✨
@@burcuigitoh yeah, I meant it’s kinda weird how while some of us Thai wants to leave the country and be somewhere else, you are doing the opposite haha. It made me open my mind a little bit more about the beauty of Thailand
I agree with all that you're saying, I also feel so much more alive in Asia and Thailand in particular. I'm from UK and Im going to Thailand for my 6th visit in 2 weeks time :D
As a Thai, I can say that Thai people don't judge fellow Thais or foreigners doing their own things if they are not rude and bothering other people. Bangkok is a cosmopolitan city and Thai people are used to see so many foreigners all year round, so there is no strangeness. This is unlike 5-6 decades ago, when children would run out of their homes when they saw foreigners come by so as to gawk at them!
Bangkok is a tough place to live for many Thais, as it is expensive for Thailand and many people work very hard to get by. But for a foreigner with a decent income, it is like Disneyland for adults.
I really understand your points for wanting to move there as I too always felt like anything positive was possible in Thailand, and because of the people & culture always felt very 'at home'. Sometimes even more so than in my home country. Best wishes in your travels. Thank you for the video.
For most people Thailand means Soi 6 Pattaya, Bangela Road, the strip of malls/soi cowboy/Nana pl on Sukhumvit line and maybe Iconsiam. That's all they see and know.
I've never seen one of your videos, not sure how this one ended up in my feed, but I'm glad it did. I've never been to Thailand, will go for the first time in December/January. Will only be in Bangkok for a couple of days. I will check out other areas such as Phuket, Chiang Mai and Pattaya as well. While I am there, I will certainly be looking to see if it seems like a place I can live. I am in the United States now, and I feel the urge to explore and take in a different environment. Life here in the US is becoming incredulous! I feel like Thailand will be a great reprieve from this lifestyle. I am hoping I can find the western style amenities that I have become accustomed to, without the western style costs and the western style people! New sub, btw!
Hello,I'm Thai. My son is now studying for bachelor degree at Udubs in Seattle and he come back home on every summer. Thailand is safer and more considerate, you will definitely fall in love with people, place and food.Welcome to Thailand.❤❤❤

I'm from India and have lived in other Asian countries before. But I visited Bangkok twice and genuinely fell in love too. It's the perfect mix of chaos and order and joy. I do think I will settle down in my home city in India because I want to be near my family, but I am also hoping to be able to live in Bangkok for a year or two so I can live that life. That would be so precious to me.
Not sure if you commented on this already, but are you finding it pretty easy to make/ find friends, like minded people in Bangkok? I hear there are a lot of meetup groups/ FB groups, etc.
Pretty similar situation here, I felt lost in Slovenia, i never was getting along with people here. I traveled a lot in Asian countries. I am also female and i lived in Bangkok few times. I really miss dragon fruit. I am currently unemployed and watching you makes me want to leave everything here and go there
Welcome back to Thailand. You can use Thailand, especially Bangkok, as a base to go to surrounding countries in Southeast Asia. or in Asia and at an affordable price.🤗😊🫶❤️🩷🎊🎉🇹🇭

Thank you.
