Your videos are of apt length. Not so long nor so short. Perfect tutorials. The amount of patience you have and details you work on are admirable. Sending you love from India !
Talking about the painting process and journeys reminded me of one of my absolute favorite animation shorts in recent years called "The Reward". I suggest you give it a watch if you're feeling a bit inspired and adventurous now. It also features the most epic Handshake in Animation History! ua-cam.com/video/kkAYze6ae18/v-deo.html
This painting is so stunning🥰again it's like I am sensing your respect for the person in the painting, which really impresses me🌸It's amazing, how the painting has changed when you've added the abstraction! It was like the expression was gaining strength!👍🏻Also am really inspired and impressed by the things you've said... find it to be very courageous🌞🙋♀️Thank you 4 sharing this video!!
I just love your approach to painting...some realism to draw a veiwer in, and abstraction of lively color full of expression and feelings. You are inspiring! Keep your creations coming! Beautiful!!
Yes, it helps very much to hear that the important things are not what you paint but your actions are art creates. I'm very hard on myself oh, I need to hear about the ideas of freeing oneself. Thank you for these videos I appreciate them
Love this!! Your painting style is so free and it suits your reference really well. I appreciate it not being overly blended as well. Thankyou for sharing!!!
Your knowledge and advice is so breathtaking please believe me when I say you’ve helped me look forward to waking up looking forward to see my work with fresh eyes, I’m not just saying this mate but you’ve really helped me like you’d never know it’s not the painting it’s how you see the world it’s like some of my best art is when I’m doodling and it’s probably because I know I’m not pushing it out there in the art world I love life thanks to you 👍 sorry if makes you or anybody else cringe
thank you for your commentary on this video! it's very insightful, I often get frustrated with painting because it doesn't go how I want/expect it to and I always thought it's just because I need to practice more so I can control things better but maybe I should just let things go and tackle it as a journey without a destination, like you said! (I still definitely need practice too but not having expectations should make it more enjoyable)
Just came across your channel a few minutes ago. Love the words you say...so encouraging for someone like me who is a trueee beginner.. So positive...love the voice inflection..(keeps me interested and don't put me to sleep)... And wow..what a great motivator..... Makes me want to believe in myself and not be scared!! I started doodling as I found how relaxing it is in a very busy and often stressful world. Thanks so much...please keep up the positivity...☺☺💖💖
The way you go about talking about your artistic process is incredible and thoughtful! I loved listening to this and learning from your process while taking your advice to completely embrace my own, loved all of this 😁 Ps. Absolutely lovely piece btw, she looks so care free and joyful
Thank you so much for the instructive lessons. I would love to see your color palette in the video as well, and how you reach the shades you use Regards Rami
Alpay, what a joy to watch, you give so much - this is beautiful, I hope one day to visit one of your exhibitions, but my dream would be to paint with you for a workshop retreat :)
So mylar is a thick die cutting sheet. Or stencil sheet. U can get at a craft store that sell cricut machines. I'm in the US so i see this material everywhere and in all sizes. U can paint on them
The creative act is not performed by the artist alone; the spectator brings the work in contact with the external world by deciphering and interpreting its inner qualifications and thus adds his contribution to the creative act. - Marcel Duchamp
Great artwork as usual, with inspiring and educating advices. Love it! I almost completely agree with your philosophy however I didn’t understand the ‘I don’t paint for myself, I paint for my audience’ part :/. You mean like thinking about what people should see while they are looking at your work? I appreciate your own unique style and philosophy but, how can one create something without adding himself into the piece? Let me ask it this way, would you leave your journey if your soul that lives in your art didn’t satisfy the people? “Painting should be an experience; a journey.” This is exactly the same thing my very first art teacher told me once long long time ago, I’ve never forget it and it shaped my whole art life. It made me a bit emotional hearing same words from you after years :’D. Thank you so so much! I know you said that you paint only with your imagination most of the time, no plan or no sketch, just like a journey, wherever your feet take you (or at least I got it lol) but, how? How can you draw and paint so realistic without reference pictures or even without a shape in your mind?
Thanks for the kind words Burak!!! I’ll try to put out more content in the upcoming weeks... after all those years I have some catching up to do :). To answer your question, let me put it this way... it would be a different journey then. Btw. I do use photo reference of course, I can’t paint from memory :)
I’m going to be very honest, this is one of the most beautiful pieces of art I’ve ever seen
Can you talk about having self confidence in your art in a future vid?

Anyone watching this in 2024?
*watches him sketch for 3 hours, then watches him make the painting for 3 seconds, then watches him push color for 3 hours.
can you do more people that are darker than peach please? you’re missing out on so many skin tones that we’d like to see
Are you mad
Your painting style is tooo much good but finishing touches is not so good....😢💐
can you please stop ruinning your painting at the end with that stains.
Its not ruining it. Its called abstract art.
