Corny dad jokes - Sigmund Freud theory, laughter as a way to release pent-up nervous energy - if the punch line carries themes of tabooed social topics, is sexual in nature, or just largely inappropriate as a whole, we substitute hostility or disgust with humor OR as in this case, disgust for the humor LOL

I heard the reason Chris wanted to stay at the camp site even though Patricia wanted to leave was bc it was his birthday camping trip. It’s sad to think that he just wanted to get away to celebrate his birthday with his wife & sister in law & all along Patricia was planning his death. I don’t believe for a minute Patricia’s sister suddenly grew a conscious after the failed attempt at drowning Chris, rather she took the deal the state was offering to avoid the possible lengthy prison sentence that her sister ultimately received.

I work for a company that’s been based in Medford for many years. (I don’t actually live there I work an “office job “, remotely from WA state).
But our warehouse is in Medford, and I happen to know we pay very competitive wages for warehouse work, for folks who have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Even in 2013, I know for a fact our starting wage for full-time work would’ve included full benefits and paid time off, as well as a reasonably comfortable living wage for the area. We also employ lots of couples and there’s room for advancement and training.
Why these two couldn’t get a couple of decent jobs and make their cheap family rental work, in this relatively affordable area, is kind of beyond me. Even if they wanted to live separately- it would’ve been very possible to afford.
People throw the word narcissism around a lot, I just really don’t understand her self centeredness and unwillingness to put in real work for reward. How could she not understand what was best for her kids at least? How could someone think killing their dad is better than working hard to pursue her own goals. I mean ask him to move out (again) and get a dang job. I just don’t get it

Hi Dr. Grande! Have you done/can you do a video about the Springfield Three? Its always been something I couldn't understand and I'd love your analysis on what may have happened. Three women don't just disappear 😥

The dry humor in these episodes always catches me by pleasant surprise. It is an excellent relief from the darker subject matter.
There is nothing wrong with kink or BDSM in most cases, but she was clearly selfish and immature. Chris’s only mistake was reasonably being a father and putting the children first, not Patricia’s kink.

    Hairbrained.
It appears Chris _knew_ his partner was trying to kill him, but just couldn't bring himself to _believe_ it. He must have felt very confused and emotionally traumatized on that last day. His wife is pond scum.
