If you like a warm/dark set, nothing beats the Yinman 2.0 600s. It sounds like a mix between the HD600s and the LCD2Cs with near perfect sub-bass extension while maintaining airy treble but is very non-fatiguing. They are ridiculously good for the price and semi-available since they are not custom like TGXear or Rikubuds. Truly TOTL sound, the timbre is just so natural and sweet.
@@ientran4974 Anything supplying more than 3W @ 32 ohms is. But even with a Cayin RU7 (400mW), it powers the Yinmans quite well but the more power you give it, the better it gets.
FANTASTIC video!!! I'm getting back into wired earbuds, finally. RW-1000, Nameless and Yincrow X6 were alright, but I need to hear what's at the top of the pile now!
Would like to see your opinion on the Faaeal Rosemary. They are not the most detailed for $20 but I like the tunning. They are pretty dark but definitely worth a try.
I've bought a lot of IEM lately and am going to make my next two purchases Rikubuds Saber 3 and either TGXEARS Serratus Black Sand or Totem (but leaning towards SBS).
@@ImAWSMDannyI asked Jim for a ranking of different sonic characters, and he ranked Serratus Black Sand vs his other earbuds (excluding Desolation Sound) as #2 for sub-bass depth and rumble, #2 for mid-bass slam & speed, #3 for lower mid warmth, #3 for upper mid clarity & smoothness, #2 for for treble presence and smoothness, and possessing a nicely balanced soundstage. I was leaning towards Totem from the description, but after seeing Jim's rankings I think SBS would be a better fit for me. Plus Sword said it sounds kinda like a mini / funner Desolation Sound, so it has that going for it! I let Riku know what I listen to and what sound signature I generally prefer, and he thought I'd really like Saber 3 which is his current favorite. Excited to try out some new, high-quality buds!
@@ImAWSMDanny sweet! I have listened to TGXEAR and Rikubuds. I think the Ripples has the best dynamics, especially in the bass frequencies. Check out Swashers by Yosi Horikawa - one of my test tracks for imaging, dynamics, and resolution
Any new budget friendly earbuds that you may have acquired recently that compete in the truly awesome category between the vido blue, qon q39, vido purple, yincrow x6 and openhearts? Also check the dunu alpha 3 awesome earbud and thanks for the tier list 😁🙌
Nothing new in that category unfortunately. Under $100 my picks are Dunu Alpha 3 and Venture Electronics Master. I love the Master and will have a video on it in a couple of days.
@@ImAWSMDanny Thanks to this comment and said video I gave wild lee 79 freedom dollars worth of VE masters. I'll update on my thoughts post arrival and burning them in. 🙌
@@ImAWSMDanny The "it's there" phrase on your review really sums up the master and although it sounds plane it really means alot to have sub-bass frequencies "there" in the flathead world for so little. The detail on these beasts is really good to the point it beats other flats and iems of much or even double the price. Forever thankful for ur review. 🙌
Based on good sound, great build, great fit and decent price I would consider it truly awesome. I always welcome more commercial options for buds and Dunu really nailed it with the Alpha 3.
Fell into the rabbit hole last week, Got the Kbear stellar for my first flathead. It sounds pretty good, a bit warm. Did you get a chance to compare the stellar with vido or qian39 ?
I came back to this video today after having the Tgxear serratus and was wondering what a good upgrade (in the distant future would be) is the sun copper worth getting as a upgrade?
Sun Copper overall is thicker and warmer. Techs would be an upgrade but tuning will be very different. Hard to say what would be a direct upgrade since Serratus is that unique and special. I'd probably look into TGX Ear Desolation Sound. Though DS is more neutral and has less sub bass.
Unfortunately I have not. I hear really good things about them but also that they have iffy quality control and it makes buying a set a gamble. I might look into one at some point. From what I've seen some friends say the LBBS is very good and a solid option under $100.
My absolute favorite is TGX Ear Desolation Sound (review recorded, up soon). There are a few noteworthy names tho. I really liked Venture Electronics Sun Copper and Asura Pure White Shining. Rikubuds Lancer 1 is a great budget option. Dunu Alpha 3 is amazing as well and good as an easy to get commercial option with solid build.
@@ImAWSMDanny Wow, they are expensive and difficult to get, I am trying the nicehck eb2s pro, I can hardly find any headphones without those rubber things that bother my ears so much

Great review and comparisons Danny. Thank you.
