    Not wrong on the bristlenose, really depending on the market around you and the resouces you have to off load them. I found breeding them in a 75 gallon made my life easier. The longfin parents live and breed in there , I also avoid feeding tons of fresh or canned vegetables that kills your water quality. I have a few stores thay i supply so its easier to move them not tons of transactions, with those and fish swaps etc u can make some decent $ to put back into the hobby 😊

      @@pittsburghpets3759 Im pretty sure you see some pigmentation spots throwback from the non-albino genetics, happens from time to time even if they normally breed pure albino 👍

    Hey, brother, you say "acrylic yarn" -- do you mean just any regular yarn, like what I could buy at Walmart or Joanne's?? Do we need to rinse it or otherwise prep it so it's safe for the fish?

    • @XboxOriginal1321

    Have you tried a breeding cage? Not sure what the actual name is for it but that's what I have always called it. What it is is a cube or tube made from that plastic grid stuff for cross stitching or something. You can get it at Wal-Mart in the sewing section in sheets and rounds. If you do the tube style just wrap a sheet of it around the round and let the sheet overlap for three or four squares and use the same yarn as you do for the mops to sew it together as well as the round to the bottom then just make sure it sticks out of the water about an inch and place a stone in it to keep it on the bottom of the tank. Place your pregnant female guppies in it, you will need a separate tank for this, and once the guppies have the babies, the babies will be able to swim out but the females won't be able to. Then just take the females out when done having the babies and you will have almost no losses to the parents.

      yeah I have before. some fish don't like it as much but deff can work

    • @seangere9698
      @seangere9698 5 років тому

      @@pittsburghpets3759 true that some don't. You can always tie some mops to the outside and one or so small ones to the inside for more comfort for the females.
