Bastien has great vocals, which I fully expected. Home Free wouldn't have it any other way. The part I'm struggling with is missing Austin as a person. His personality is so big, & he totally lights up on stage. He was born to perform in front of a live audience. You can see him putting his whole heart & soul into each & every performance & seemingly having the time of his life at every show. (OK, except maybe when Georgia football is on at the same time, LOL.) He knows how to work the stage & connect with the audience in a way that I find to be somewhat rare. The incredible voice talent & beautiful harmonies are what drew me to listen to Home Free. Their personalities are what made me a true Fry. Don't get me wrong; I 100% understand, respect, & support Austin's decision to leave & his reasons for doing so. I know it wasn't an easy decision for him to make. And I'm sure I'll eventually grow to love Bastien just as I grew to love Chance. But for now, I'm still a bit sad. I actually appreciate the cleaner, tidier dress/look and them stepping away from the country twang (however temporary) and wandering into a more bluesy rock feel. Plus, it gives Rob a chance to fill in with bluesy riffs the way he does.
I agree with everything you said except for the "cleaner/tidier" remark. I've never thought of them as scruffy. I grew up with five brothers in midwestern farm country, so I know what scruffy is! Love their talent, wardrobe, attitude, and aura! 🥰🥰🥰 (I'm not attracted to sartorial perfection...too sterile and boring.)
I like both but I love bluesy Home Free. The producer from The Sing Off said they would only allow them to compete if they came on the show as a country a cappella band. They kept it afterwards because they became much more popular after they won and it's what everyone expected of them. Plus they had 2, then later 3 country boys in the band and they already did some country songs. So it was a good fit for them at the time. And they could say they were the only country a cappella band in existance. But then they started to add more originals and more blues with the Dive Bar Saint's album. Which was their first album as being independent. I remember Tim saying beforehand that the album would be a different sound and more authentic to who they are. Then the lockdowns happened and they backed off of that sound a little, then they did the remakes, and now I think they are back to the style they've always wanted to do. And I think it's a great fit for Bastien's style of singing and of course Rob's too. Well, all of them really.
Favorite sign: Love is Limitless! I adored the original, and I'm loving the cover. Hearing Bastien tee off, and then Chance (!!!!) wail was just delicious. Hearing Rob take it low as so cool. Adam & Time doing their thing and providing the cornerstone. Perfection!
Everything about this song is wonderful... and I've heard of "the Stanky Leg" maneuver before, but @TheRobLundquist pulling off "the Stanky Lip" at 3:14 is amazing. Ha!
Well, Adam, you are, truly, a worthy new member. Congratulations to you and all the other fellers. I’m so happy my favorite group has found you. All of you are so very talented. Hooray!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I have to admit that I wasn’t too sure about a new, person coming in and have the “it” factor I’ve come to love about HF. I’ve been a Home Fry since the Sing Off days. This was such a great way to kick off Adam Bastein’s addition to the group and the usual bring a smile good vibe feel is there in spades. Oh hell yes ma'am. Perfect song to introduce Bastien. Everyone sounded great and looked like they had a blast filming it. Chance where did that high note at the end come from? Wow! Rob, glad to hear some of that soul creep back into your vocals. Great job guys!! Peace and love!
I don't do well with change, so I have been anxious to see how the band would sound without Austin. *Deep breath* it is going to be okay. Excited for this new chapter with Bastien!
Wonderful harmonies, as always! from the top tenor to the bottom bass and all in between! See Chance wearing a The Longest Johns t-shirt - we know how much he loves shanties. Check out his fill-in short tour with the Johns when Robbie Sattin's visa didn't come through for part of The Longest Johns' latest tour in America.
Going to reserve judgment for a bit and just wait and see how this new addition does - if I’m honest when it comes to HomeFree my ear is still tuned with Austin being in the group
Agree......but Austin made it clear that he wants to move on so we have to respect that as well as the new member that has joined, not replaced Austin.
What a fantastic new cover/upgrade of this fabulous song! Great first video featuring our newest Adam. Plus anytime we get to hear Gospel Rob it's a good day.
Lordy y'all!! Let's give em somethin' to sing about! Bastien!!! Y'all could not have found a better high tenor to grace y'all's vocals. Un---friggin'----believable!!!!!! Bastien....... Love ya!

First time listening to the group with Bastien!! Love you all!!
What about this: I See A Darkness by Johnny Cash, we want Adam Chance to take full lead, will used noticeable frailty with some lower and mostly higher register, high harmony in acoustically in room of pick up acoustic, Tim Foust will used acoustically higher end of the bass register like some 2nd and mostly third octave for the bassline.
This is an adorable choice for the first song with Adam. Also, I totally loved the "2 Adams 2 Many" sign that pointed to all the comments complaining about his name. (When I heard his name was Adam, I laughed and said, "Of course it is.")
Me, too! (Except I think I said, "Well, of course it is!") 😂
Hi Bastien! Welcome! ❤
What about this: Anything To Do With You by Clay Walker, we want Adam Basiten to take full lead, will used baritone like with country thickness with some lower and mostly higher register, high harmony by: Adam Chance, Rob Lundquit, Tim Foust will used mixed of chest and chest fry for the bassline.
I really enjoyed this one - so nice to see how Bastien sounds as himself instead of trying to fill Austin’s role!
What about this: Can I Trust You With My Heart by Travis Tritt, we want Adam Chance to take full lead, will used control hidden rasp and grit not to notable with some lower and mostly higher register, high harmony by: Adam Basiten, Rob Lundquit, Tim Foust will used mixed of chest and growl for the bassline.
Welcome Adam!!!! You are going to fit right in with our guys. I can see that they are all very supportive. I have to admit I was nervous about the change, but this has taken away any doubts I had. Keep the music coming.
Adam you had big shoes to fill and you nailed it. Congrats.. you guys are all awesome, keep up the great work. Can’t wait to hear more !! Love you guys
Wow! Just wow!! ❤
This illustrates how a great band with a unique sound is more than the sum of its members. It transforms to something more
Damn his voices so smooth and so controlled and precise awesome job
I thought y'all were PTX which is a compliment I love them and you guys give me that same joy after this I'm going down this rabbit hole of dopamine 😊
YES, YES, YES that was incredible. You go Bastien.... You sounded amazing, you all did. Love that so much, so fun. Loved the cameo from Mark wills too.
Adam Bastien, Adam Chance, Adam Rupp, Adam Foust and Adam Lundquist are really good singers. I love this band
🤣
Absolutely busted out laughing!!! They tried to get Tim to change his name at the show I was at Friday. Freaking hilarious Freaking talented
😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Супер-р-р-р-р!!!!!
I thought Home Free would never be the same without Austin, but with this video, I realized that's not the way to look at it. This is another new journey just as Home Free went on other new journeys in the past with different members, bigger platforms, etc. Excited to see what Home Free's new journey with Bastien will be like! This was a great introduction to the new voice :D
Miss Austin, but LOVE the new guy. Sweet voice, and lots of energy.
He's almost a second Austin
I love Austin so much, I thought it would take much longer to get someone else. Adam does a great job here.
What about this: Connected at the Heart by Ricochet, we want Rob Lundquit to take full lead, will used soul swing with passio but emotional swing like slowed pace and speedily with way less giddy but emotional emphasis with some lower and mostly higher register, high harmony by: Adam Basiten, Adam Chance, Tim Foust will just used chest rhythmic but melodic slowed pace for the bassline
Fantastic addition to the group. I am excited to see just how many great ways his voice is used. All of this talent in one group is amazing. Can't wait to go to the next concert with the new Adam adding his personality and amazing vocals.
Bastien crushed this. Great song guys.
This is on ly favorite playlist all ready
What about this: I'd Love You All Over Again by Alan Jackson, we want Adam Chance to take full lead, will used little bit of crack of light but middle of thicker folds for his tone with some lower and mostly higher register, high harmony by: Adam Basiten, Rob Lundquit, Tim Foust will used chest with end of chest with reached of chest fry for the bassline.
It's a different sound, but I do like the bluesy country vibe of this song. Looking forward to hearing more!
What about this: We Belong In Love Tonight by TG Sheppard, we want Adam Chance to take full lead, will used dominant of chest throughout whole song with mixture of thick and thin sounding vocally with some lower and mostly higher register, high harmony by: Adam Basiten, Rob Lundquit, Tim Foust will used mixed of chest and growl for the bassline.
I miss Austin but the new guy is fantastic love this group
I loved listening to Bastien when he performed with 7th Ave. Still sounds fantastic. Phenomenal choice to fill Austin's shoes
I actually appreciate the cleaner, tidier dress/look and them stepping away from the country twang (however temporary) and wandering into a more bluesy rock feel. Plus, it gives Rob a chance to fill in with bluesy riffs the way he does.
I like that, too!
After 14+years, I’m still not done healing after losing my hubby. Your music helps. ❤️
Excellent arrangement! Great vocals! Adam's lead is amazing! You all never disappoint!
Favorite sign: Love is Limitless! I adored the original, and I'm loving the cover. Hearing Bastien tee off, and then Chance (!!!!) wail was just delicious. Hearing Rob take it low as so cool. Adam & Time doing their thing and providing the cornerstone. Perfection!
This is a great arrangement. Home Free at it's best. Bastein is fabulous. STELLAR
Everything about this song is wonderful... and I've heard of "the Stanky Leg" maneuver before, but @TheRobLundquist pulling off "the Stanky Lip" at 3:14 is amazing. Ha!
Your new member is great! I admit I miss Austin but Bastien brings his own talents to Home Free !! ❤️
Awesome 🎉
Wow!! Knocked it out of the park again!!
Fantastic! Welcome brother!
God bless all here.
Well, Adam, you are, truly, a worthy new member. Congratulations to you and all the other fellers. I’m so happy my favorite group has found you. All of you are so very talented. Hooray!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I like the sound! I loved Austin, but he sounds really good! I have seen Home Free a couple times years ago in Cincinnati! Willing to try it out!
Flat out rockin'! Way to go Bastien! Love the bluesy Motown sound, didn't know Chance could hit those high notes! Well done guys, another great hit!!
Great observation Marcia. One of Adam's inspirations is the great Stevie Wonder.
Loved this song. Made me want to dance!! Loved Rob showing out too!
Great song, great performance. Welcome to the Bastien era 😊🎉❤
What a perfect fit Bastien is! Love his voice, love this song.... you all are so amazing! Keep up the great singing!
That new gentleman’s high notes are nuts
Oh Bastien is wonderful! The vocals, charisma, all of it!
In fact, all of you boys seem charged up and maybe just a little re-energized? Love it!
What about this: Strip it Down by Luke Bryan, we want Adam Chance to take full lead, high harmony by: Rob Lundquit, Adam Basiten, Tim Foust will used slow melodic chest and growl with different depth for the bassline.
Wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about anyone other Austin but, I must say, Bastien is killing it! ❤
Loved it! Adam's tone is fabulous. I'll have to hear more of his higher range, but so far I'm very impressed. Go HF!
I don't do well with change, so I have been anxious to see how the band would sound without Austin. *Deep breath* it is going to be okay. Excited for this new chapter with Bastien!
Change is inevitable. Change can be a good thing and take them in a direction we may not have considered.
Love it! ❤️❤️❤️
New guy rocks. Rob, love when you let your soul out!
Ihr seid eine sooo harmonische Truppe. Ihr gebt Bastien den Raum, bei Euch und den Fans anzukommen. Es ist wie immer ein Genuss, Euch zu zu hören.
What a fantastic new cover/upgrade of this fabulous song! Great first video featuring our newest Adam. Plus anytime we get to hear Gospel Rob it's a good day.
Love the groove of this song
Lordy y'all!! Let's give em somethin' to sing about! Bastien!!! Y'all could not have found a better high tenor to grace y'all's vocals. Un---friggin'----believable!!!!!! Bastien....... Love ya!
Amazing what a difference one voice makes. The sound mix is certainly different but there's still the Home Free vibe. Carry on, dudes.
I miss Austin… I know change is a part of life. Bastien has a very nice voice, blends well with the rest of the group, and a mega watt smile. I’ve grown to love and appreciate Adam Chance’s singing and shy star quality, I look forward to watching Bastien blossom too. Rob, Tim, and Adam Rupp I’ve loved and appreciated your wonderful talents since I discovered Homefree.
Love it!! Did you know that this track was played on East Coast FM 107.6 in Edinburgh, UK!
Home Free on the radio? Cool.
We will miss Austin but great choice guys! Hes a WONDERFUL fit! We had doubts about Chance too but now...wooo baby!❤
Loved this vibe on this one! Looking forward to more with Adam B!
Like everyone else is saying, so nice to see what Adam brings to this group. Very well done
I gotta admit I was apprehensive cuz I loved Austin's vocal range.....but holy caca this dude crushed it...can't wait to see the next one from you guys 100% awesome fellas
