Justin and his team are as real as you see on video and tv. We took my 6 year old to NPK this year for his birthday and they treated him like a king. Brian gave him the run through of the car, justin let him hop on his golf cart and hang out in their trailer while they were tuning with his dad, Justin's mom gave him a free swan gang shirt. We have been to NHRA events, Promod stuff and the experience is not even close, even smaller no prep events the guys are just stand up middle class people.
Great interview. TBH I hated Justin at first as many did, but over time he grew on me and I know he’s in it to win it. Now I’m a big fan, and can’t wait to get out to a race to meet him.
Can't say I 'hated' him BUT he and his Pops were FAF and I could not help but start watching. Like you I watched more and more of Justin's videos, subscribed and now I'm as big a fan as is anyone. He really is in it to win it. His Dad was a BIG TIME player in ProMod for a long time and learned to be a force to recon with. Now I'm full on rooting for the PreNup even though I'm a huge fan of the 405 AND (yeah I know, she's not running this years NPK) Kayla Morton.
I just watch to see how stupid he is and how much stuff he screws up and does wrong like re-using head gaskets and piston rings those are just thing you don’t do

Great show,big fan of Justin. I commented few days ago my thoughts on the burn down DQ and want to add to it,I was at the Slick 50'S when WJ and Geffrion had there stage battle and the crowd went crazy,need more stuff like that!
It's great to have the opportunity to listen to the racers without the every day BS about sponsorships and other aspects of securing a ride. These folks and their crews make it happen and I live them for it! Also, I'd like to add that it's good to see a hometown fella like yourself doing these interviews with some of the folks that run. Thanks Wes, for what you're doing and how you've helped the "Door Slammer" racers get on let us in to their world for a bit. Tell your folks hello for me, and keep putting out this kind of content. Getting in a 3 second car and turning loose of the button is definitely an accomplishment especially if your winning and takes a big set I have respect for anyone that is wheeling a 3 second car. Justin is cocky and has money behind him but he is out here doing something that not a lot can
For years the NHRA tried to stamp out competing series so the money had to funnel through the organization. I'm not sure everyone understands just HOW important Big Chief and Murder Nova have been in changing the whole face of drag racing. If you were at the PRI show in 2015 or 2016 you'd know exactly what I mean.

Love staging duel’s best one I seen was when Ricky Smith shut his car off and made The Professor stage first NHRA is loosing fans because no more show and pro Camaro nitro racing is so specialized and no one can afford afford pro stock, nitro, or pro mod NPK has the show the classes and non stop action with real racers nothing against the NHRA racers they are great teams! But fans want to support the racers not the sanctioning body. I parked my s/gas Monza and sold it after 25 years of competition just wasn’t fun racing anymore just finished a pro street 64 Fairlane having fun again

You gave your age off when you mentioned Ricky and Warren's staging war back in tha day Scott :) I hadda bail outa S/G in my '63 ChevyII when electronics started being the way to go. Old School was all I knew and too doggoned old to learn the new stuff. The cost to be "in tha show" now days off the charts so I'm glad I stopped late 80's. Now with UA-cam giving us live streams why would I want to endure the long walks from parking areas WAYYYY OVER THERE when I can sit in my EZ chair and enjoy. Wishing I could see that sweet '64 Fairlane ProStreet. My guess is it is awesome and a real crowd pleaser.
NPK is more akin to the match race era of the '60s and '70s not a comparison to NHRA

Picture this...Orlando Speed World, Super Nationals of Grudge Racing, the Staging lanes are filled with the baddest Small Tire Money car's of the Day! I'm talking about real Earners! Car's with names like; Keisha, Claudette, Call It What Ya Want To, Jason X, Candy Crusher, Etc. It looks like there 's 10,000 people on the starting line! It's so awesome! (I wish I could insert a clip!) THE NHRA hates it! Will they ever evolve? Somthing else, I have personally told Big Chief thank you on multiple occasions and you should too, (anyone reading this) because he saved drag racing, it was on life support 10 yrs.; ago, I am not just talking NHRA....today I think there are 28 maybe 26 tracks in NC alone (Racing Paradise) What is the NHRA anyways? The Power Aid, Mello Yellow, Half Throttle Lucas Oil Fun police lol! I'm just confused...if you wanna see Drag Racing come to Ohio tonight, KD Dragway Midnight Madness, the july Race crowd was so large, the Sheriffs Dept. forced track owner to suspend ticket sale due to the County Wide traffic jam that the event was creating. Look, I'm just the Witness to these events, but you sir have Influence, there are good things happening all around us, keep growing Drag Racing!

Yea no he was referring to the one Brent (Megalodon) Austin won against Lutz. That was the only 200K dollar pay out race I remember. Idk what year, 2018 I guess. I believe it was Bristol but i can't say 100%.

I liked pro stock nhra class back when the cars were stock cars.Pro stock today not exciting and need 4 million or more dollars to run this class most people can not relate to it
For sure i cheer Justin on to win every race. I started watching Justin right after he wrecked his 4th gen and totaled it out. I watched the full build of his Lexus. To me him and his dad are as real as you will see. And u get to laugh watching things u would probably do yourself.

if im not mistaken the rule is Factroy Roof and Quaters. so if the car come from the factory with steel then it has to be steel. if it come with composite then it can be composite
Like nolan said they were never steel in the first place so in there case oem fiberglass/composite panels is there steel roof and quarters. But they do still have to be stock or stock replacement panels which is the reason that henson had to in order to race npk rebody the now former plan b car that hpp bought for this season and wadded up at the last npk race

Steve will do it and Kyle fortgard is his MAIN sponsor he reps happy dad for them for a reason.. learn what brand building is and come back here this kids killing it since the first time I raced him in Rvw .. and he did find his niche he's living a race car guys dream and racing the best no prep drivers on the planet while his brand keeps growing he does a better job than almost every other driver and no prep Kings with social media except for guys that had a national television show to expose them beforehand and even most of them don't do as well and most of them don't have a car that can even compete with his on top of it he's got some of the best sponsors in the game in the car department and money sponsors I think you're the one that needs to find your niche lmao

Tried following his UA-cam channel awhile back but……silver spoon boy n $ is no issue. Not my kinda thing to support like NHRA. I prefer the down to earth average working person trying to race.

The NHRA was created to give kids a safe place to race so they didn’t have to do it on the streets, after 3 mins it becomes a safety issue here’s an interview with the official that disqualified those two drivers ua-cam.com/video/hgwfn6VLeGA/v-deo.html in NHRA they have a 3 min rule 3 mins from the time you burnout to stage only way you get more time is if you brake then you get an extra 3 mins to fix it or you get DQ’d my dad was a starting line official when he wasn’t racing he’s DQ’s ppl for the same reason
