I saw him at his age of 17 here in Stuttgart/Germany l. Until today i call it one of the best blues shows in my live - and i have seen a lot of Bluesguys. It was, for me as a guitar player, not his art of guitar playin‘ - it was his passion of performing the blues, he was screaming out his soul. I came home and wanted to throw my guitar out of the window …..
Gut wrenching blues right there. Jonny's soul is as old as time. It's been done many times but nobody, I mean NOBODY, can ever do that song any better than that. Damn that was fine!!!
the boy did a disney special back in the 90's just a show on him, just 15 at the time, blew me away then still does great kid powerfully talented he writes and sings and plays all his own music, heard recently took some time off for voice probs praying for him
That’s when my dad and I found out about him too! If I remember correctly it was a show with Hanson of all people. And of course my little sister loved them and when she was done watching them. He came on and just STOLE THE SHOW!!!
I can't say I've heard a song by Jonny Lang that I thought was bad.... when he got discovered somebody really you what they were hearing.... Mr. Lang has left the building
a very touching and beautiful version ! Jonny Lang is an amazing soulman ! He reminds me this fantastic performance of Joe Cocker "with a little help of my friends - 1969 - Woodstock - a total immersion of soul, heart and body in the song... When music and voice become blood and tears...
Yeah the ole hippy days...wouldnt give them for all the gold in the world...taking journeys to other worlds...and when you come back...you see through the ole bullshit...wonderfull.
Hi Donna-I've seen Jonny in person many times ( always upfront! ) He is even more amazing to see live! Smokin on the guitar and a voice beyond his years!
I have to admit this has nothing to do with how talented he is but....I really liked his hair long like this! Last time I saw him he cut it! Even so, cant say anything but great things about Jonny!
That´s the blues past feelings... exploding nowadays with this Jonny Lang... Let´s listen to all of us heart !!! SUPERB !!! a little glass of cane spirit is available...
This is just insane. I've been a fan of jonny forever. I saw him live finally in 2004. I have NEVER seen videos of him this young this good. Its mind blowing the way he sings and plays and is a complete musician and is only like 15here.
I saw him for the first time in Honolulu Rolling Stones cover Band in Aloha Stadium. Was the first time I enjoyed more with the cover band than the big concert. And I went from Spain to see the Rolling Stones.
Johnny Lang I love u and your music. U r something else out side of a wonderful wonderful music writer, singer, and most of all a guitarist. Lots of love to u. MY name is Sue from California

Alex Blum best supporting guitarist ever. Greatest stratocaster ever as far as i heard. That damn old fender is marvellous right? couldn t believe the sound. Magical
Alex Blum. One thing. That wasn t cool. The guy should have go on working his music go to school learn more cause everybody in the band is much better musician. They where making a living out of him. Poor kid was not noticing. Whzt did he get out of all that? The company and the musicians are doing just fine and when a kid like quinn sullivan shows up playing nice at ten they use him while he should be heading at berklee . That backing guitarist probably went to college to study music right? Why not johnny lang? His singing was not that good And his backing guitarist was much much better. I believe they made a fool out of him Johnny had hard times later He could have been in bad situation. Family responsable too maybe. Don t know
You can tell here how young he was and hadn't figured out the "less is more" concept. Paul Diethelm done great playing over the changes and I bet if Jonny played this song as an older player he'd take that same approach now too.
@glenneveaux I've always liked paul diethelm, i seem to remember the song 'home in the blues' they used to perform with jonny's band in 1997 or so was written by him, and it's just a great song... and he's a great guitarist
Beautiful…mi dispiace solo che adesso i suoi dischi sono molto commerciali..anche se sempre di qualità..grande Jonny..però torna il bluesman che eri..e che sei!!!!

Fuck me... blew me straight out my armchair. What feel and emotion. Just what music is all about. Blistering.

Try Peter Frampton's version.
Freddie and Clarence Brown
Aw shit no one is doing it like this no more - raw and straight from the heart. An amazing performance.

Tears me apart every time!
The stratcat performed the perfect blues solo. If I could put all those elements into a blues solo 50% of the time I would feel accomplished.
So good!
OMG!
Sweet. . . . . Thanks again

Reincarnation of Freddie King. What happened Johnny - this is how amazing you were back in the day.
Sehr viel Gefühl
I was 47
Who is the other guitarist?
Strat: Paul Diethelm whew...
BLUESNISIMO
c'est francais?
Sucks that it's out of sync, cause he's soooo good!
I will drink his bath water😅
Only black men who grew up on plantations can play the blues.
If you can feel it you can play it. Music is universal, and one of the best blues guitarists ever is Stevie Ray (white man)
Geht nicht besser
