Wow! Switzerland Tourism should cut you a big cheque, Andrea! Thank you for taking us on the tour of your beautiful country! There were a few surprises in your line-up - but Geneva takes the cake. 😁 Nobody would anticipate it has an 'm' sound in it. It must be one of those Swiss best kept secrets.
Haha thank you Alexei 😄 and thank you for the great suggestion as a topic 🥳

@@SwissGermanBeginners Hi! I’ve just spent a week in Switzerland and currently writing this while waiting at the airport.
It seems like everyone that I’ve spoken to, including the announcement on the train, pronounces it Laau-terbrunne and not Luu-terbrunne.
That's because the announcements are typically made in German and it seems like the people you met were talking German to you. Swiss people call the village Luuterbrunne. 😊
Thank you for this. I'm a Filipina and I really wanted to learn speaking and pronounce Swiss German because i wanted to communicate well to my Swiss German Boyfriend he doesn't know how to speak english well so maybe it's time for me to know Swiss German language for him. ❤️ I wish your video can help me. Thank you so much!
I have been to nearly all of them, yay!! I love your videos, Andrea, absolutely unique. Thank you for making them.
Thank youuu 🥰🥰
Thank you for this great video. I was so impressed I ordered your book straight away. Merci !😊

could you please make a video on pflegesprache? many auslanders take pflege as job, but we suffer a lot when talking to patients in swiss german, u cant imagine to some it even cost their job because even if they know german, the swiss olders dont understand, plz plz plz, u r an angel, help me and a thousands like me. love and respect for my teaCHER
Ok will see what I can do! Can you give me some sentences you use often?
@@SwissGermanBeginners its those every day words, but a bit different. when we nurse the olders, we do some pet talks, like how do you feel today and etc. we also have to ask their permission for every thing, like i need to clean you up, is that ok with you/ can i open your dress, can i bath you etc
Hoi Andrea! Wieder ein SEHR tolles Video! Das erinnert mich an die wunderschöne Städte und Orte in der Schweiz, die ich besucht hatte ❤️🇨🇭, wie Genf, Lauterbrunnen, Luzern usw. Danke vielmals und liebi Grüess us sunnige Indonesie!
Danke vielmal, liebi Justina. Ich freue mich immer sehr, von dir zu hören. Wann kommst du wieder einmal in die Schweiz? 💗
Hi I am Janet from Philippines ❤
Haha i han uf Bärn gwärtet 😂, I am always excited to hear thr names of the places in the Berner Oberland (Mürren, Wengen, Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen), I get goosebumps when I hear these cities❤, please do a mountain list next time, like Eiger!!!
Aww love that!! 😍
Next time do Mountains Like Eiger, Jungfraujoch, Mönch, Matterhorn too❤🎉
Yess, my patrons are getting it as bonus material. Mountains and lakes. 😁😍
I simply loved the clarity of this video. Do you edit them yourself ?
Thank you very much 😃 yes, I do everything by myself.
Ich liebe auch Lozärn 🎉
no Schaffhausen?
i loved this content. I got all right except Murten 😢
Yeah Lausanne! ❤🎉😊
I have about 12 days to explore Switzerland (at a hotel in Zurich) and plan to travel extensively by train. What top 12 destinations would you recommend for an elderly traveler?
Hello, did you find any interesting suggestions as an elderly traveler? I have a ten-day holiday to spend and explore Switzerland, very soon. I am looking feverishly for what people have to say about exploring Switzerland. 😊
@@Loty2023 I didn't end up with particularly interesting tips, but I did enjoy shopping in Bern, Lausanne & St Gallen, the Botanical Garden in Basel, the Lucerne to Pilatus lake cruise, hiking in Wasserrauen, Mt Rigi, trips to Mt Pilatus, Schildthorn, Mt. Titlis. I must say that Lucerne, however lovely, was extremely crowded with tourists in September, as was Lauterbrunnen. In non-peak season, Lucerne might be a better base than Zurich depending on your priorities.
Thank you so much ☺@@dkim2011
Hoi Andrea !! Thank you for the amazing content. How can I say “Nevermind” or “it’s okay” in Schweizerdeutsch ?
"Egal!" 😁 or "Isch ok!"
so you go to Fantasy Basel? I am missing it this year, but last year I had so much fun there! What part of the geeky/nerdy stuff are you in?
fun fact.... Chur pronounced the way people from Chur do.... in Romanian it means... a**, as in... bottom. 🤣The first time I heard it, I had a bit of a shock! 😁
Ahh 😂🙊
We had a blast! Love to watch cosplayers and also I play pokemon go 😄 and you?
@Swiss German for Beginners I used to be a "professional " (writing it like that since I never really felt like an actual professional) cosplayer. I would participate in international competitions, be a judge and also make commissioned costumes for others. I stopped before moving to Switzerland, but I still have many friends in the international community. So yeah, that is mostly where I roll 😁
Winterthur? Very large city!
👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👍
Für mich am meiste luschtig isch "Porrentruy" wo isch Pruntrut in Switzerdüütsch 😂😂😂
Ja, stimmt!! 😄
Where are Kandersteg and Solothurn? 🤔
SG❤😂
Hoi, ich mache zwüsche 29.5 u 1.6 Ferie i d Schwiiz. Häsch Ziit u Luscht ufs Träffe?
Hoi, I'm Polish and I'm working in CH. My boss using swearing like "Sheisstrack" (I don't really know how to write this) and I'm really curious what it means. Can anyone explain? Thank you very much and sorry about my English :)
Ahh haha! It means "Schissdräck!" which is "Scheissdreck" in German or translated to English "shit dirt" or just "shit" 😁 it's not such a strong swearing word but rather mild. 😁
@@SwissGermanBeginners haha thank you so much i was looking for this answer in the internet but i didnt find. Thank you once again :)
Mini Stadt isch Antibes in Frankreich.
So schöööön...
Grachen ?
Is the background fake?
No 😃 it's real. It's one of my favourite places.
Bro i live there ...
When you see that with yourself you will find out it's extremely normal thing ... Before i came there i was thinking like you but it is wrong
I wanted to ask too 😂 I can't wait to visit one day! My family immigrated to the US from Bern, in 1890.
@@Shakespearemuse did you born in Switzerland or US ?
@@B777Cap no my great grandfather was born in Switzerland and he came over to the US. I hope to visit some day, and that is why I want to learn the language.
Swiss German sounds to me like German spoke by a heavily-accented Swede.
Have no English translation. Please, give with English translation.
I thought Switzerland didn't have an official capital
It does not, Bern is the « de facto » capital which means it « acts » as our capital (the parliament and the federal council is there), but is not really one. The city of Bern does not hold more power or influence over the country than any other town in Switzerland. Hope this clears things up for you!
Bloody hell. German from Germany sounds much better, sorry to say.
no worries ;)
