Me too, but theyre almost the complete opposite of what aja explained a nugu is. They have one of the best discographys in Kpop (also want to point out their really good self produced songs since kpop fans' standards for self produced songs are usually so low), their concept and sound evolution is almost seemless and doesnt feel forced and they have super talented group members. It's like the universe is working against them, they have everything to be the most successful gg out there and are now even under Hybe but its just not working out for some reason. Hopefully pledis wont disband them just bc theyre album sales arent that high

I think for Ive’s case it’s a given that when wonyoung and yujin redebuted they were going to be the two most popular members because they already had an established fanbase, Every kpop group has a member (or members) that reel fans in and gets more promos/ads because of their marketability, I don’t necessarily view this as a negative thing as long as the company doesn’t completely favour the member(s) over the others and gives them opportunities as well.
Exactly, the company management matters. Sakura and Chaewon, especially Sakura already has a huge fanbase. But LSF has such good promo that all the members stand out enough that they don't get overshadowed

I just know that nmixx' problem is not just about their music. I know there's something else but I can't just pinpoint what it is.
JYP should've push ITZY more. They are very marketable individually and as a group. They definitely stood out and are strong performers. JYP wasted them over his hunger for fame.
nmixx doesn‘t have the it-factor. theyre pretty, funny and extremely talented but the something that‘s missing is the star. they dont have that. not even lily w her incredible voice and sullyoon with her insane beauty. nmixx doesnt seem.. special enough. theyre not captivating.
they lack identity, they aren’t consistent with their original concept and therefore don’t fill a niche, they’re just trendhoppers. in comparison their successful counterparts(ive, nwjns, lesserafim, etc) all set their identities clear in their debut and have stuck to them
