Just want to say that I ordered this kit, and this turned out to be a super easy job. A few tips, though:
    1) The kit doesn't come with any instructions. The two videos are the only thing for reference.
    2) Buy some JB weld glue before starting the job.
    3) A Dremel tool is useful (and I love my Dremel tool, believe me!), but if you don't feel like buying one for this job, rough sand paper for cleaning out the hole, and a hacksaw blade for fixing up the cover should work fine.
    4) The video doesn't describe how to remove the handle cover, but it's quite easy if you're careful, using a large, flat blade screwdriver... just insert the blade in the gap and twist a little, then slide the blade down to release the entire cover.
5 ) The video doesn't show that you need to remove the two large phillips screws before adding the strap. The screws in my door were in pretty tight and it was helpful to use a large phillips screwdriver to undo them.
    6) The bolts are metric allen head. I used my metric allen bike wrench and it worked perfectly.
Other than that, the quality of the materials is very good, and it installed a lot easier than I expected.

How important is it to use the JB Weld? I ordered this product and put it on temporarily without it and it seems to work just fine.

I’m confused about the “inside spacer” you mentioned. I see tiny rings inside to hold, but they look difficult to get out. Does the spacer tube and screw provided in the kit meet the length of the hole without the Inside spacer? I just bought your kit and don’t want to get it wrong. Is the inside spacer what your screw is locking into?

Jim, do you remove the original screws inside the handle,

Thanks Jim, the bottom on passenger handle housing is gone, probably fell down inside. I have filled the hole with liquid nails put the metal tube in filled the tube with same and pushed the bolt in. Hopefully this will hold together as the break was on the top. The other bolts screwed in perfectly.. Thank you so much for this fix, I have been driving my car around for a year VW had no idea how to fix. Love your work !
