In this video ill teach you a very simple trading strategy based on ICT Concepts. This strategy is from ICT 2022 Mentorship and for this forex/indices trading strategy, you don't need to know the daily bias, although if you can find the daily bias, then your winrate is going to improve. ICT recommends that you must know your daily bias but this strategy is still going to make good profits without knowing the daily bias. This strategy is based on liquidity sweep above or below daily high and daily low, fair value gap/orderblock and market structure shift/CHoCH/Change of character.

A very insightful video. I appreciate the baby steps it takes to master the ropes of profitable trading. Most traders are searching for that elusive method where they never lose or can win eight or nine trades out of 10, amassing huge profits in a short amount of time with no risk, which I'd say is ill advised.
Any experienced trader knows that successful trading takes time. There is always SOME level of risk, which needs to be understood and managed.
The problem for me is that some strategies are extremely difficult to grasp and difficult to incorporate into my trading strategy; to be honest, it's extremely exhausting.
@@albert-sinclair.m It's best to experiment with what works for you, understand it, and stick to it. Trading is mentally taxing. Not everyone is built for the ups and downs as they come; you're probably better off hiring a professional to trade for you. It's a safer way to reduce risk and earn while learning.

It's also a good idea to mark previous day's high & low between previous day's 00:00am to 00:00am as well. There will be instances when either today's high/low levels will not get taken or ran through, and in that situation you can watch for previous day's high or low to be liquidated. Great video! 🔥

I would like to ask about NY's time zone for trading the US NAS100, what is the difference between summer and winter? Is UCT-4 for summer and UCT-5 for winter? For this strategy 9:30 time seems very important, does it have anything to do with the NYT time zone?

On the 4th it was UTC -4 in NY, not UTC -5 as daylight savings had not yet been factored in, so the line you marked was 1 AM in NY - just a heads up. I know, timezones are annoying. 😅

Just wanted to know if high impact news would affect this strategy coz yesterday it broke the daily high and just ran and created Higher highs. there was a high impact news at 10am. Just got really confused coz this strategy has been working all week except yesterday, need to understand what caused the change.

We have ny pm session which is from 1:00 pm to 4 pm ny time don’t trade from 12pm to 1:00 pm

First backtest in on GBPUSD and made 5%. (Day for reference, 20th October 2022, time: 9:30 - 11:59am (UTC -5)
In one instance , after the the daily sweep high is taken, i notice it took long time( next London session) for the Change of Character to occur - Is that also valid about the strategy?
So does the price not have to close back inside the 'range' for this then? Little confused as to why we can take MSS that occur above the high or below the low here

A couple of things I hope you can clarify - 1. Why is the NY Midnight Open important to mark out? I'm assuming only to know how far back to look for daily high and low, 2. When price sweeps liquidity, can it be either candle body OR wick? In the first example there is a little bit of body and a lot of wick. 3. If there is no FVG above the break of structure do you wait until there is.

From what I've learned, the NY Midnight Open is like an equilibrium level. If you backtest it a bit, you'll see how price bounces off of this level and fluctuates above and below it. With a price sweep, if it breaks with the body, it's typically showing more momentum in the move and has likely created a FVG during the break but it's case by case. If there isn't a FVG above the break, I usually wait for price to retrace and create a more momentous move down which creates a good FVG. I am no expert but hopefully these insights help
a sweep is valid via wicks but a change in market structure must be by body, by his rules but by ICT's rules he says it doesn't need to be by body
In your previous video you mentioned that the choch/bss should be within the range but in the last example of this video it was outside the range. Pls clarify. tnx
