- Welcome back to another video! We are back in Tampa to see what is going on around the area and with all the cruise ships! We have Carnival Legend, Carnival Paradise, and Rhapsody of the Seas in the port, and Norwegian Dawn at the cargo pier. Hope you enjoy!

Damn weird to see the Dawn with all her lights off except buffet and bridge. Something I’d never thought I’d see. Can’t wait to sail again when this is all over hopefully everybody is okay

We were on a relocation cruise with the Norwegian Dawn a few years ago. It was our favorite cruise out of all of them we have been on. We got on in New Orleans and got off in Boston. There were many fun port calls on the way. I hope the cruise lines can recover. We hope to go again one day.

I was at Port Tampa back in February at that exact pier where Norwegian Dawn is when I toured the T.S. Kennedy from Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Very neat video as always Justin.

Was just on Rhapsody earlier this year, glad she's safe at port!
Now, to find her sister Serenada (my nickname for Serenade of the Seas,was on her last year).
It's cool how the legend spelled Tampa bay with the balconies.

I read that some of the ships are anchored off shore to save on docking fees
Are the cruise ships empty? Or they are operating with small crew?
I was gonna be on the Rhapsody this week :(
They do not have the dock space for them .that one ship you saw was tied up at the shrimp dock.
It will take a couple of years, before I cruise again.

Is anyone on board those ships? The Dawn looks like they completely turned her off aside from the bridge, the buffet area and a few rooms.
alk61695 only some crew members are left onboard while the industry is shut down
Figures. I assume probably the captain, first officers. I guess some cooks to make food. Surprised some of them aren't allowed to use guest cabins if they're not being used.
You can get a pretty good idea regarding the movement of the ships by utilizing the pilots website (www.tampabaypilots.com/traffic-lists). Any idea what the lights say on Legend? I know she previously wrote out "We will be back
OK I got a question maybe someone can answer, don't get me wrong I love to go on cruises. Why are the ships still here in the USA if they are registered in other countries?? Maybe they do not want them there because of Covid 19?
It's a waste of fuel because when the cruising industry gets back on the ships would have to come back from that country like Panama. Fuel is very expensive especially since cruise lines arnt making money
@@stankbagel1265 Or maybe like all the other ports do not want them because of the pandemic? Also because the majority of there customers come the US? We should charge them extra port fees and the money that is being spent extra here in the US and give it to our workers here .
@@MrPapitog they don't pay extra for people and they only pay port fees when they are docked. And it's not because of the pandemic. Think about this, what do you think would happen if all the ships from a large amount of cruise lines get there? There would be overloaded ports. It would again have to pay port taxes and fuel money. Which is not what the cruise lines want.
@@stankbagel1265 OK then maybe since they are saving money how about lowering our cruise fees for the next cruise. Maybe free drinks. 🤣
@@MrPapitog that actually are if you booked a cruise and they cancelled you then you get free future cruise credit hahaha

Those ships will fall into disrepair fairly quickly. The industry is done for.
