What that person on your Discord said about Ley lines in the desert is true. I suggest playing Australia on a TSL Earth map, and going Hermetic order. I did it and got some +8 Campuses
Once i was playing australia and i had a tile surrounded with 4 mountains and a geothermal fissure nearby me then i picked hermetic order and fucking ley line just spawned middle of the space before i put a campus so im a bit frustrated in hermetic order i wish we could destroy them
I saw this game and went for my own, i actually managed to pick up Etememanki. I think it really comes down to spawn. I spawned Babylon, Summeria AND Persia - instead of neighboring Dido. That was one big cock-fest over at Tigris and Euphrates… they just didn’t have time to pick it up with them constantly fighting. But, to be fair, building the wonder I’m the cap doesn’t do a lot for you, the floodplains are limited compared to the more southern parts of the Nile
I did a true start Mediterranean as Egypt as my first deity game. Had Nubia, Mali, dido, and Babylon as my neighbors, I played tall and won a diplo victory
@@baku_m_salti3128 Not on TSL. It limits it to only allow the city-states that belong on TSL. I tested it and the barb clans all say there are no available city-states to convert into.
When you lost the wonder the first time and did a restart I was like, booooo. Then when you lost it the second time and decided not to restart, I also went, booooo. 🤣😂🤣
Was there a shot at Etenemaki by using the third builder charge to get the inspiration for Craftsmanship and then buying another builder to put down the sphinx? I’m not sure but I’m keen to try this myself!
Playing earlier today, tons of floodplains and marshes to start. Planned to get Etemenanki. It was gone turn 23, hadn't even unlocked it yet (wasted a few turns on holy site tech). I am crestfallen
Yeah, on anything higher than prince if you don't immediately rush to the Etemenanki/Temple of Artemis/Great Baths with a 5 production or higher city and builders to chop it out, you're just flat out not getting it. The AI loves those wonders just like it loves Stonehenge and Great Bath, because they're unlocked super early and the AI doesn't care if it makes sense to build or not. They will use their bonus production and get it just to spite you.
Looking for some help. Did I hear there is a mod that allows the ai to build improvements? The ai never builds feitorias, for example, due to a bug. Or was this a global bug fix? Cheers.
Hey Ursa, why do you say you will try not to get a cultural victory in relation to having monopolies and corporation game mod on? Maybe buying the 90g floodplain tile as well might have clinched that marsh wonder for you. You could have bought it 4 turns later or maybe you might have been able to get a loan with the AI to buy both tiles immediately.
@@GalbersGaming If you get monopolies on amenities, it will multiply your tourism output to like 350% or even more. Try to play it on and you'll see. The first time I used that game mode I was trying to win domination but after getting 2 civs, I won out of nowhere. Never used it again after that.

Egypt on TSL with Lady of the Reeds and Marshes is always fantastic. It'll definitely save your game. Not even kidding, it's that huge for Egypt.

monopolies and corp makes cultural victories so easy you might suddenly find your self winning one without even making an effort for cult victories.
