Wow! Dave thank you for taking us with you! As an old motocrosser I know some sand.. I've been over the bars a fair amount before I learned how to deal with it. You did quite well and ride fast! Really showed up those pavement ponys! 😎👍I really liked to see this and had fun watching!
You did an awesome job riding and the Greeves held it’s own. I am a 67 year old Triumph rider of Meridan and Hinkley’s, love them all. But to me the best sounds come from the Meridan’s 360 degree firing twins, like music to my ears! Thanks again for producing such great entertainment again!!!
Great Video! It really tickled me to see the guys with the new high priced adventure/dual sport bikes riding on the side of the road with their feet down because they were scared of the sandy sections 😂😂!!
Wow Dave that’s one of if not the best bike ride videos I’ve seen to date. As an old guy in my 60’s myself l can only say that was an awesome job, blitzing those modern bikes with that little trumpy just asking for more. 👍
It was cool seeing your bike out there. I was standing right in front of you when you started her up, and it made me smile to see the entire gang turn to see you. LOL
I love it everybody looking at your bike, I just turned 60 also last October rode my Honda XR250R for a birthday gift to myself, Happy belated Birthday to you also I like seeing guys are age and older doing this it makes me smile. Love your videos.
I would take the multistrada with Motoz tires and be good please let me know what time each year yall have this ride or other rides I am up for rides anywhere
Fantastic choice of mount. Can't hardly tell your half way around the world, with the gum & pine trees. At least your not dodging roo's & eum's. Only Beemers.😊
I don't know if it was you, the Greeves, you and the Greeves against all the modern bikes or all of the above but it made for a very interesting video to watch. I live in Florida from October to May and was curious of how you find out about events such as this? Thanks.
Grumph is awesome, and so is Dave. Those newer bikes?? Yawn. The Grumph reminds me so much of the XT500, SP500 and XL600 that I've owned. Plenty fast enough. Thanks for showing. I really enjoyed and it reminded me of yonder days rides. 👍
I think I will. Got to do a bunch of maintenance now and probably a new video. But you can see when I bought it at Barber last year. ua-cam.com/video/4NHP3N0MQyA/v-deo.html

I was running 19 lbs in each. Usually I run a bit less but I knew we had some section of street road
Great Video! It really tickled me to see the guys with the new high priced adventure/dual sport bikes riding on the side of the road with their feet down because they were scared of the sandy sections 😂😂!!
I just dont think they know better. You cant control a bike with your arms only
You are my hero man! That old Greeeves on a 350 mile run ! Lol ! Good job taking that on !
Yup. Now its back in the shop for needed maintenance!
What an extremely cool combination of Britain's best ! Dang fine ride Man ! I got an adrenaline rush from the video , thanks...
Thanks.
Old Brit bikes don't leak oil, they ooze character. Great ride. Thanks for the video.
Well it oozed about 2 quarts of character over the whole weekend! Guess I have to pour more character in
Impressive! You and the bike did awesome!
Thanks!

Glad you enjoyed it. It was a good day
Bike ran great! A testament to solid machinery, and proper preparation! Thanks for the show.
The ride took its toll though on the poor thing. I think it pissed more oil out of every crevasse, crack and pore than it used.
@@bullpencyclesas long as you can replace it quicker than it comes out, then all is well.
Triumps sound so good. A set of sand worthy DP tires would make it so much more fun.
All Triumph twins sound good with straight pipe tho!
Priceless Dave! Thank you for taking me on the ride! Your Friend Frank
You're welcome im sure
You smoked all those ktm 890s 😂 But now you'll have to tend to the maintenance of it for 2 hours. What a hoot being on the old brits!
You are right! Spoken like a smart man! Now for the maintenance!
It was cool seeing your bike out there. I was standing right in front of you when you started her up, and it made me smile to see the entire gang turn to see you. LOL
Yes, when I started it, I thought they might get mad for the noise. They were still giving out door prizes. I tried to leave quietly
Awesome you ran that cool Greeves.👍
Thanks 👍

Every year in October, but it sells out fast. You have to follow Dixie Dual Sport for the next sign up which is months before each ride
Brilliant Dave, great choice of bike. Thanks for another great video. Cheers
Glad you enjoyed it

Yeah, that guy on the Beemer was good!
Well done, great video.
It was alot of fun!
I still ride dirt bikes and I am a October 1963 model also, I will never stop until I am dead.
Great. I was never a dirt rider until maybe 5 years ago.

Yes, but those Japanese thumpers were hard to kick over!
Great video thanks for sharing! Where’s the start point for this ride?
They started at EuroCycles in Daytona, but the first real off road section begins at old US 1, the brick highway
Greeves 1961 I understand now
Yup!
I would like your input on entering the Cannonball run on Vintage motorcycle can I call you or do you know much about it
First, cool bike
Thanks
Dave don't need " ruby slippers ", he has a Greeves to take him home.
I could use a new brain tho!
How about giving more detail on the Greeves?
I think I will. Got to do a bunch of maintenance now and probably a new video. But you can see when I bought it at Barber last year. ua-cam.com/video/4NHP3N0MQyA/v-deo.html
Ha! How did you ever survive without survival gear?😮
Robie
I was wearing my lucky Greeves shirt!
What could possibly go wrong....
Yeah, thats what I thought!
What kinda bike are you on 1961 Grees What ? Is it
Hell yea, no kids allowed.
My opinion;you do not have any compeition!
I'm trying to figure out what bike to run next year! I dont know if I have anything cooler.
