We really love when you tell us every amazing thing about the tree before you remove it. Didn't know madrone was and evergreen , leaves look a little like a large rhododendron, do madrones have flowers? Thank you for the pricless content as always August!
@@AugustHunicke you inspired me to look it up because we don't have madrone here in the east, it's evergreen member of the family Ericaceae, closely related to blueberries, mountain laurels, and rhododendrons! such a cool tree beautiful white flower clusters, thank you
I have a profound hatred for crepe myrtles so I removed 14 from my yard and yanked up the stumps. They grow wild here and you really can’t ever get ride of them completely. Fun show thanks.
Crepe Myrtles are in bloom here in Texas. Amazing how many varieties there are and how diverse each characteristic can be. Very durable little ornamentals.
Man that chipper is an animal ❤ Rat's I was hoping to fly up to Reon's while Damien was there 🫤 I guess it's good though, been too busy 🙂 I like that !!!
Really enjoyed your vids over the years. Really informative and helped me out at work. Selling the axe its a shame but can be tuff industry. To busy then nuthin, cost of livin now tree works a luxury for most. But yer thanx to ya damien jeff adam n the rest'
There used to be a community swimming pool by my house. It had a chain link fence around it with the same barbed-wire topper... which, after years of weather, was also rusty. I always wondered how bad the pool could be that they had to go to such desperate measures to keep kids from escaping.
I may have to look into buying an MB Saddle. I brought a TM pro 6 months ago, and it's falling apart. What would be the cost shipped to New Zealand Awesome video got to love machine days
I have a herniated disc, spinal stenosis and more going on in my lower back. I have been watching you for years and Ive heard you talk about your back. im 32 and i dont want to give up climbing . any tips or advice? Thanks in advance
We enjoy the limbs going into the chipper but coming out is even cooler The spray of the chips is fascinating. Please don’t forget to show that once in a while too. Thanks.
in the USA madrones are mostly confined to the pacific coast and the southwestern states. the eastern states are too steamy in the summer and too cold in the winter for them. one or two species will survive on the east coast but they're mostly unheard of east of texas
They look and act very similar to live oaks. I have 9 live oaks in my yard and they shed like dogs. 3 times a year they shed leaves but the trees stay full year round. I love em.
@@batmantiss Cool, I've seen August cut them and haul it away but wasn't sure what the best use for the wood is. I've never heard of them until I started watching August.
great segment August. that chipper is a beast. your man on the crane had a lot of finesse on the stick. what do you do with the logs. Block them and sell them for firewood? sell them for logs? thanks for sharing.
Nice work man, it was cool to see that chipper chewing through those madrone trees. Are you all in GP? I’m in Jacksonville area but working in Applegate right now.
"Madrone firewood burns long and hot and produces less ash than many other hardwoods. As firewood for home heating, it is considered one of the best woods available on the west coast". Used a lot of it when I lived in Eureka, CA. So why chip so much of it? Is the firewood business that depressed?

Flowers… sort of.

Surprised that more of trunk and larger branch wasn't save in that Madrone is a premium firewood.
Welcome back home Damien. August and crew did an excellent job as always.
I need to visit the Pacific Northwest. Looks beautiful. Except for the zombies.

“Phototropic” nice word!
That is a killer chipper...heavy duty.👍
The second you sell that chipper you’re gonna miss it

If we were closer, I have a place to dump those chips.
Welcome back damien
That chipper is a beast!
August...No takers on the AX-19? With the price of a new one I thought that would be gone in a day or two!
Welcome back Damien, yall stay safe homies.
Still hanging on to the chipper. Good
Magnificent Pacific Madrone. Pity they were in the wrong spot.
Great video! I loved it! 😳👍
What can the Madrone wood be used for? Firewood? furniture lumber? Toothpicks? My Father really loved the Crepe Myrtle trees.

They're supposed to be the best firewood in the region

Hey Damien, is there any chance we will see you in a Reon video?
August what does the Madrone smell like when chipping it? I am in the south US.
NO smell
Good morning and good job guys
10:30 those madrones are messy, but client is loosing all that shade!

give em to church people
Thats the whole point of the fence in the cemetery, when you come in there is no going out... rip thieves
thats pretty cool
Hi August good work love the chipper ( Ty Ron
Hey August! Nice crane work. Good to see Damien back! Interesting thoughts on the cemetery security😅
Dang that crepe myrtle looked good. Show what you guys did

Did you repaint your Morbark?
AX19 BEAST!
I am confused on how you attach the crane to the tree. It looks like you are doing all the work from the ground.
Damien went for a crane ride to rig it each tree, that’s why you can see him pulling his climbing rope off to the side in the video
Put a go pro in the chipper to video the blades !! Or just send one through on log 😮😂😂

I’m not in the firewood business, and I have a seemingly endless supply of Madrone in my area. Supply and demand.
