@@olleselin You mean the entirety of TOH? Yeah! I think so The creativity really showed through in season 2, and I liked the twist on how witches were *forced* to do only 1 kind of magic, instead of something like Avatar where they studied whatever clan they were born in

Yes!!! After being circumstantial enemies because of Belos' horrible treatment of them both, it was so sweet and heartwarming to watch Luz sympathize with the Collector and make friends with him! 😊
Yea though Luz never really told collector her lonely backstory like he told her I feel like maybe they should have had some alone time together where Luz could help collector understand why he was making King uncomfortable. Like I know he’s a dangerous god with gr8 power but at the end of the day he’s just a fragile little boy who wants someone to love him and no adults have nurtured him or been a parental figure to him adults just betray him or treat him like he’s a monster. I am glad that Luz did not mistreat collector and I really think that collector should have been adopted by eda or Camila and lived with Luz or king. What the hell happened to us weirdos have to stick together but instead collector just returns to the stars like if the weirdos would have accepted him he probably would have stayed with them. Imagine how much good collector could do on the boiling isles he could become a protector and hero he could use his powers to do good and then everyone will love him and he will learn how to befriend other children and maybe go to hexside this could have been the life for collector but no he just returns to the stars
Here’s my interpretation of the Collector’s lore: Collectors are a species born when stars come into existence, and thus, draw their powers from them (This is important in my headcanon). The Collectors, thanks to their longevity and powers, viewed themselves as gods, and took pleasure in ‘saving’ other species by preserving them. When our Collector finally annoyed his siblings too much, they sent him to the Titans’ planet with two speaking discs (in case he broke one by accident during his playing, because he doesn’t know his own strength), which are used by Collectors to communicate between distances. The Collector hit it off with the canid like giants. But when the Collectors learned the Titans were not only immune to their own magic, but could cancel it out, they sought to wipe out the one threat to their absolute power. Realizing their powers would be ineffective, they used skulls from already deceased titans to infiltrate their society and kill them off, one by one. Papa Titan, who escaped to the area where he would die, let his anger consume him, and believed the Collector had a role in the genocide. He used his magic to seal the Collector in an In-Between (A space that divides realms), using one of the Collector’s discs as a catalyst for such a powerful spell. But Papa Titan underestimated the energy the spell would require, and he burnt himself up, and killed himself in imprisoning the Collector. Because of Titan’s unique physiology, their hearts can continue to beat, even if the rest of their bodies die. Since souls can only pass on if the body truly dies, the Titan’s spirit can only pass on half-way, meaning his soul is stuck in the In-Between, where all souls pass through as they pass onto their afterlife. As a result of sealing the Collector, the disc used broke, and the Collector magic inside leaked into the In-Between where it formed into the magic speaking cubes. Now away from the stars he/they draw power from, the Collector was powerless, and could not escape.
Until Phillip Wittebane after murdering his own brother and nearly killing own descendant on his brother’s side and future archenemy Luz “Luzura” Noceda he found the last Collector Disc and made a deal with the last of the collectors. In exchange for freedom, Collector will teach Phillip Wittebane to become the strongest magic user in all of time not just the boiling isles but everywhere. He got rid of his name temporarily and rechristened himself as Emperor Belos. The Pure Evil Consequence of Humanity’s Racism.
I don't think that the Collector that sealed away the owl beast was our Collector, especially since we know about the Collector's older siblings. Besides, during the time with Belos, the Collector was bound to their prison, unable to do anything. Great analysis on the Collector. I do like the Collector overall and am glad that they were redeemed.
I honestly hope that the Collector revisits the Boiling Isles plenty of times in the four years before the epilogue! He probably wanted to prove he was becoming more mature by returning to the stars, but there's no shame in feeling a need for companionship and support after the trauma and remorse he went through. Plus, the idea of him continuing to learn and bond with his new friends and being like a doting little brother to Luz is just SO adorable 😊🥰
Yea if collector comes back to the boiling isles Luz eda and king they better provide support and companionship for collector during his visits he needs all the love and support he can get he’s a little child who went through too much the trauma he went through was too much for a fragile little kid like himself to endure. That is so much to go through for a little kid collector really needs a mama this little kid desperately needs help and therapy
Collector may be a powerful god who can physically take care of himself but he’s still emotionally fragile and vulnerable I mean come he’s just a little kid!
@@victorialaing4227 On DeviantArt, under the name Khialat, I've put together lots of art of my own post-series headcanon, where the Collector spends LOTS of time back on the Boiling Isles and also at the Noceda home in the Human Realm, learning to gain people's trust and make friends, and getting the love and comfort he needs. He becomes especially close with Luz and Vee, who now consider him their little brother and give him a name: "Collin Noceda-slash-Clawthorne" ☺
When the Collector was released, he started to remind me more of Majin Buu than Bill Cipher. I like the dynamic with Collector and Belos has the air of a man cutting a deal with the devil, but the man proves to be the real devil. The Collector intended to keep his word and had the air of a child who didn't know right from wrong, while Belos was a lying sociopath who strung the Collector along much longer than he needed to just to mess with him. The hint we get about the Collector's backstory is that his fun was originally harmless play, but after being in isolation for hundreds of years and having Belos as an influence caused him to become more violent. Belos is a serial killer turned dictator who murdered scores of Grimwalkers when they disobeyed him, seeing life treated so cheaply no doubt caused the Collector to view living beings as toys he could just "fix" if they go hurt.
You know not only does The Collector and Luz’s characters overlap but King and The collector’s characters overlap too. Think about it King and The Collector are children of powerful beings and were abandoned by their siblings or parents. King in season 1 didn’t like when Luz didn’t play with him or hang out with him. This is similar to The Collector i WAD when he says “why do you choose these itty bitty spiders over me”. Over time though King has matured and grown out of childlike behavior so it makes sense that his opposite would be a clingy kid who wants friends. Collie is basically King from Season 1 but with godlike powers.
Phoenix (my name for Collector) is such a tragic character that really fascinates me. I cant believe they did so much with them when they had less than 15 minute of screentime. I hope we see more of him in the future
@FragileSnow thank you so much :D I've wanted to call someone Phoenix for so long. Before we knew Evelynns name I called her Phoenix but then we found out her name. So I wanted an astrological name for Phoenix and as soon as I found out that was an astrological name I had to take the opportunity
Personally I believe the collector from Eda's dream is not our collector as this one is tall, and in art/stained glass in the collector's floating castle thing we see other collectors depicted as tall.
Watching this video, i feel smart for realizing almost immediately that the collector was just some lonely kid who had too much power for his own good. The moment king had his first dream and collector was like "wait! Nonono dont leave! Come back!", I immediately called that he was just lonely. I also feel proud of myself for calling that he had no idea what "mortality" truly meant as early as the season 2 finale. One thing i didnt predict though was that it was the archivists who betrayed him and got rid of the titans
I dont really think the collector in the owl beast's flashback is ours, as this one's way of "collecting" is with scrolls, and they're much taller than the small collector. Ours is shown to collect through puppets and playful means, not as organized as the other archivists were suggested to be.
I have a fully elaborate story about the Collector in mind. It's more like a big headcanon/fanfiction, but it makes a lot of sense. would like to share. [it will be a little big text] Collectors were born/created millions and millions of years ago, not all at once, actually it started with just one. They were created by 3 (or more) super powerful and very high consciousness entities, that we can call "Stars", with the objective of guarding and preserving every type of creature, species, life or consciousness that exists in the universe, so that they are never forgotten, that is their function beyond anything else. I have more details about these "3" entities, but it's not convenient right now. Well, as time went by, more Collectors were created, and the more there were, the longer it took for another to born, and whenever a Collector is born, it was because the entities wanted to create him. (a detail: they are created in nebulae, and there is a big event in general when one will be born, where all Collectors also have to take part) The last Collector, the youngest to be created, was Collector, our Collector of the owl house, (About his name, I also have an explanation, actually his name is not Collector, that's just his species name. In The owl house he thinks it's his name, because for being trapped for so long his memories were fading a little, and when Belos found him he didn't care to know his name, so he called him "Collector", which is just the name of their species, like I said. I have a headcanon of what his real name would be, which is just a name I thought was cute on him, which is "Billlie".) but back... Collector was then the youngest Collector, and as a sort of Collector's law, grown/mature Collectors have full responsibility to fully care for and protect new Collectors. In collectors' childhood they should just have fun, and it's normal for them to want to play a lot, but the main thing is for them to learn, especially with their brothers, about what they do, about their powers and about things in general, mainly the lives, populations and people of the planets. But then let's go to Billlie's story, I mean, Collector. Okay, Billlie was born. Collectors: "another kid to take care of, easy" but Billlie was a more attentive and agitated child than usual, and well... the Collectors didn't know how to deal with it, and they definitely didn't like it. So the Collectors didn't like him very much, because he took a lot of time and attention from them, deep down they wanted to get rid of him... [plot twist hihi: Actually the Stars who wanted to create it like this, different and more agitated, this to be able to have like, "a blessed child" to change their vision and test them.] well, so now we jump to the part where they go to the Boling Isles, they go to this planet, to be able to preserve, seal the lives there, but while they were somehow doing that, the Titans who were a predominant people on that planet didn't like to see that, not even a little bit, they thought the Collectors were bad and so they tried to stop them. The Collectors didn't care at first as this is a normal thing to happen, and they're too powerful to deal with things like that, but then that's when they realized that... the Titans' powers override yours... Then they were impacted, it was the first time in their entire existence that they saw a being that could be stronger than them and even annul their magic. The Collectors weren't happy about this, and so they decided that they should get rid of this problem, that they should exterminate the Titans. So began a war between Titans and Collectors, the Collectors failed to win. But the Collectors would not accept this, they formed a plan, they convinced and convinced the peoples and civilizations that lived there to hunt and kill the Titans, inventing lies, false prophecies and promises of a great reward, which caused the Titans to be killed massively, causing much chaos, and almost completely extinguishing the Titans. Until the last one left. Collectors sent Billlie still very young into this world, saying "go play with the Titans, go … 🌚" and the poor child goes … then all the chaos started to happen, he had been playing with the baby Titans and became their friend, but then the Collectors took them away, and this little baby was left alone… and then as we saw in TOH, the last Titan ended up thinking that the cause of all that was our mini darling, and ended up trapping him... *crying* That's it, and then what we see happens. Well, it really was a HUGE text 😂 (some details: Collectors are born knowing all existing languages, but they also have their own language, through which they communicate with each other, and with that language they can use magic, some words of them have a lot of power, for example, swear words in that language can cause strong powers in most bad ones.) (if something in English is wrong or strange, sorry, I'm not an English speaker, I used the translator)
I've always had pretty negative views of the Collector. Like you, I thought he was some type of crazy villain who wanted anarchy in the B.I. and wished to see pain on others to his own liking. However, "Watching and Dreaming" made me change my opinion of him/them. Now, he's one of my favorite TOH characters. The Collector has matured so much. A big example of this maturity was shown in WAD, where The Collector doesn't want to see more death. This is where he starts to realize the power of tragedy, hurt, and the emotion that comes from it. Emotion is much more powerful than any event, even if Godzilla is taking over the Demon Realm. The Collector truly embodies this message. At that moment, I wanted to magically jump into the screen, give him a "bear hug", and give him some tissues. Thank you for creating this. You've got a new subscriber! Now to make some pizza bagels... 🙂🍕🥯
I also have a headcannon that the collector had a younger sibling at one point but that sibling was taken away due to the archivists being busy and not able to take care of them, leaving the collector to just sort of… exist in the stars until this whole owl house show came into play :3
thank you. finally there is someone in this world who has watch owl house and realized that when luz saved the collector. it looked exactly the way anne saved the whole of amphibia. i thought i was the only one. For that you get a like
My head cannon is that the collector’s species are chaos, they seal things up they destroy and keep things nice but cause destruction. Kinda of like Someone who elegant but chaotic! And the titans are known for life but they are a mess, like they can make and grow things but still clumsy and sometimes stupid! The titans and the Archivists are opposite and that’s how they make balance. But the Archivists got sick of it and noticed their youngest sibling (our collector) never learned their ways (and scribbled on the book they gave him/them) and was always too “distracted” watching titans, so they chose to use them/him
Referring to the first time we see a collector I do not think its our collector. This one seems taller and more evil. Plus belos wouldn't know that eda would get the curse at this time or even know if her existence. Also the collector would of most likely been trapped so it couldn't of been him
At 3:07 , The reason why would probably be because Eda is a Clawthorne. And if you remember correctly, Belos's brother, Caleb, fell in love with Evelyn who is an ancestor of the Clawthornes. Belos then kills Caleb to, quote and quote, "Save his soul." He probably sees Evelyn as the reason why he had to kill Caleb. Thus, having a grudge against Clawthornes.
Im surprised how many people share your opinion on S2 finale, not only because I loved it so incredibly much, but because I couldn't imagine the show going any other way! S2's end by The Collectors hand was and still is one of the best things to come out of the shit hand that Disney dealt to the Owl Team. Limitations are the seedbed of Creativity and its wild to think that The Collector wasnt a plabnrd character b4 news of cancellation (idk, maybe its cope). I'll certainly need to think about the other side though! The way that I see the ending and most shows is from scene to scene; Im a hype gremlin and get the most value from the current scene rather than the circumstances surrounding it, so its possible I got so hyped by the rising ost, tension and one of the first times I genuinely felt the fiction was down to the wire, that I missed the potential ending that The Collector "robbed" by showing up. The way I saw it, Luz already "won" when she branded Belos with the Coven glove, removing all of Belos' cards barring his centuries of mastery over magic, which he immediately played- manifesting as Goop Belos. With his arrogance exploited, Luz is left to a straight 1v1 with Belos again. Even when everyone joined her, the draining spell was in effect sapping their abilities whilst Belos displays yet more out of this world magic, beyond the already shown staff / mind abilities. Not to paint you as sharing this opinion, I never felt that The Collector is a Deus Ex Machina, they were already established as an incredibly powerful entity that was sealed. King chose to unseal them. The Collector being released didnt at all feel like an Anti-Climax, it felt like a pause in the middle of the Climax, like the show was holding its breath, then an immediate slamming on the pedal to achieve the same if not greater heights than the moment just prior. The feeling of dread and apprehension was sooo good and the blast the the Human Realm was incredibly painful.
I think the activists have a scroll that preserves people but the collector has toys because they are a kid and are different. That would also say it was an archivist who trapped the owl beast. Plus it couldn't have been our collector because it was at a different titan and before Eda was cured, so we know it was Archivist not our collector. I think the titan trappers were listening to to that same archivist because they were at the "edge of the world" titan.
The Collector has soooo much paralelisms with Luz and King. And I also love the vibes that he gives. Like the little prince I would absolutely watch a series of the collector, traveling from planet to planet and helping people out
Personally I think the way the day of unity was stopped was awesome! The point of the scene was to do two things: 1. Transition away from the Day of Unity being the main threat, and 2. Transition into the Collector being the main threat. The way the Collector is able to deal with the main villain so efficiently was extremely intimidating, and the fact that that’s how season 2 left off and we wouldn’t see them again for months made the mystery of how they were governing the isles, as a child, all the more intriguing!
I agree with the points you said I feel that my main gripe was that too much time was spent for The Day of Unity, for it to have been *never* mentioned again. Otherwise, King's Tide was a *really* good episode! It had fighting, all the characters played a major role, and as stated, a great cliffhanger!
@@fragilesnowz that’s fair. I think thats forgivable though since they had time constraints, I feel like the Day of Unity would’ve been mentioned again if they had a full s3
Pretty much big brothers didn’t wanna play with little brother so little brother played with kids his age big bros hanged out with the other kids and lil bro is upset and grounded (for some reason idk) but that’s just me (Edit) I think everyone saw what I did there
Collector is not really an evil kid. He just wants to be loved. He’s been betrayed all his life by people he trusted to be his friends, and King was one of those people because he wanted to kill collector and king felt no remorse for how he made collector feel even when he realized why collector has abandonment issues, King was completely remorseless about it. Collector is as nice as he can be, he just had a very messed up childhood and if he just had a mother figure to support him, it would really be good for him. It’s a shame King never cared at all about him
3:05 Here's what I think I'm pretty sure thats not The Collector I believe that's The Huntsman A little-alluded to character who strays into fanfic territory See, the hunting cult had a disk And it was broken But The Collector was trapped in the Disk Belos had.. notably a different disk, and not broken, and.. most importantly, The Collector was trapped when the other Archivist tried to trap Eda Soooooooooooo What the heck? Definitely a different Archivist Also, that Archivist was definitely weaker than The Collector. Using stars as flashbangs, and a glorified shadow net that didn't even work? Come on It does look like that Archivist's net got countered by another Archivist's magic though Which implies there was possibly a *third* Archivist in on the action Funky The one thing that hurts this theory is that The Huntsman, as I'll call him, has the same voice as the collector, and did appear to grow out of Eda's shadow. So that was probably just a quirk of the writers not quite having worked out who he is yet Also, The Collector mentions the hunter cult in his backstory, which conflicts a bit with my idea But You gotta admit That second, broken disk is pretty damning. I mean, if not another Archivist, what is it? So, assuming that disk was in fact another Archivist, how was it broken? How was the Huntsman freed? And why is the Huntsman so.. weak? Well I'm pretty sure it's because of that darn wacky hunting cult. The Huntsman, probably coordinating with The Collector to get them freed, gathered some worshippers to gather enough Titan blood to free them The cult succeeded to a degree, but being the first try, with unproven magic, on a spell that probably wouldn't free them anyway (I mean, there's a big difference between a living Titan willingly letting you out, and using a mostly dead Titan's blood in a sort of magic rite to trick the disk into letting you out) So long story short, their spell half worked, The Huntsman was freed, his disk cracked, but due to the... Less than perfect method, The Huntsman was very badly injured in the process, rendering him marginally more powerful than a witch, maybe less. So what we're left with is basically a witch with an OCD-like obsession with capturing things, but not really any real threat, but enough of a personality to, when he left the old hunting cult to go to where The Collector's disk was to try and help free him, inspire another group of mortals to go.. collect things Idk what they're called, but you know.. those.. guys? The group who tried to capture and sell the owl house when the squad animated it? Yeah those guys Anyways They probably just become a thing because their genuinely is a market for selling things.. though that market may exist because of The Huntsman Also, The Huntsman is taller Which makes me think Older Brother Maybe he was sent to bail out The Collector when relations between Archivists and Titans started going bad Or maybe he was the Archivist sent to take out the Titans in the first place
I also definitely saw some parallels with Luz and Collector. It’s worth noting that, besides some minor characters/transformations like season 3 Masha, Collector is effectively the last major character introduced into the plot, with Luz being the first one of course. By the time we get to Collector in the show, Luz has already went through a lot of character development, but Collector has been their same self for hundreds of years. Even still, in the short time Collector has in the final episodes, they’re able to make similar growth to Luz, realizing that things are “more complicated” like she was saying. I think Luz/Collector make a nice little beginning/end dynamic with the show as a whole, and even with season 3 being compromised, I think they handled it pretty well, especially the finale
I actually prefer how underwhelming it was for the collector to stop the day of unity because it shows how King unleashed an even bigger problem while trying to solve an already existing problem (like Luz) and the collector stopping the draining spell with the tip of a single finger really puts the "Welp, we screwed up" into perspective.
The personal grudge Belos had against Eda is because how similar she looks (and maybe acts) to her ancestor Evelyn, the witch that, in Phillip's eyes, started it all.
2:59 Personally, I think this is even before the collector was with Bellos Maybe the curse pre dates the boiling isles As, in that Flashback, we see other Titan body. And This collector look a lot more alike the Archivists I like to think that the collector wanted to mimik their siblings and tried to collect creatures but made them into this scrolls like the Owl beast If not, well… at least I could see it being a Collector conected to the archivists or an archivist itself
3:09 no, besides in this time it was a collector catching the owl beast before turning it into a curse, as shown when it becomes the scroll, we aren't exactly sure where we are with the clawthorne family at this time but i'll assume this is before eda or a time where she was young.
Given that the Collector has older siblings, I'm betting that the Huntsman was one such sibling and was the one who hunted the owl beast. Especially considering that the location of where the owl beast was hunted was the area the Titan trappers would settle in who worshipped an archivist by the name the Huntsman.
heres my thoery: the owl is a titan but when the collector or one of the archivist caught the owl they sealed it in some kind of prison and they made a spell out of it to curse some one lilith found that curse and used it on eda and as we see once they found out the owl is out of its seal they went to go capture it and saying the collector that captured eda we see it had the cloaths of a collector on which means it had a phsical body why and we see the collector has a half body demonsion thing the archvist can banish bring and go to planets
2:58 that wasn’t eda, that was the pure, normal owl beast, and when *that* collector archived her, it became a scroll That scroll was repurposed into a curse that Lilith used on eda
@@fragilesnowz don’t know, but I do know that he didn’t die sealing the collector as the collector couldn’t even defeat belos with a small part of the titans power

Bill cypher and the collector are similar, they are overpowered and they use minimum percentage of their full power
Well said!
Collie is such a Perfect name for them⭐🌛
Phoenix (my name for Collector) is such a tragic character that really fascinates me. I cant believe they did so much with them when they had less than 15 minute of screentime. I hope we see more of him in the future
Awww Phoenix is a really good name
@FragileSnow thank you so much :D I've wanted to call someone Phoenix for so long. Before we knew Evelynns name I called her Phoenix but then we found out her name. So I wanted an astrological name for Phoenix and as soon as I found out that was an astrological name I had to take the opportunity

Personally I believe the collector from Eda's dream is not our collector as this one is tall, and in art/stained glass in the collector's floating castle thing we see other collectors depicted as tall.
5:56 HELICOPTER HOOTY!!!!

I feel like the collector and Luz kind of have a sibling relationship
Yeah, they have that kind of bond
Totally agree
And Amity is aunt 😎

I have a fully elaborate story about the Collector in mind. It's more like a big headcanon/fanfiction, but it makes a lot of sense.
would like to share. [it will be a little big text]
Collectors were born/created millions and millions of years ago, not all at once, actually it started with just one.
(a detail: they are created in nebulae, and there is a big event in general when one will be born, where all Collectors also have to take part)
The last Collector, the youngest to be created, was Collector, our Collector of the owl house, (About his name, I also have an explanation, actually his name is not Collector, that's just his species name. In The owl house he thinks it's his name, because for being trapped for so long his memories were fading a little, and when Belos found him he didn't care to know his name, so he called him "Collector", which is just the name of their species, like I said. I have a headcanon of what his real name would be, which is just a name I thought was cute on him, which is "Billlie".)
but back...
Collectors: "another kid to take care of, easy"
but Billlie was a more attentive and agitated child than usual, and well... the Collectors didn't know how to deal with it, and they definitely didn't like it.
So the Collectors didn't like him very much, because he took a lot of time and attention from them, deep down they wanted to get rid of him...
[plot twist hihi: Actually the Stars who wanted to create it like this, different and more agitated, this to be able to have like, "a blessed child" to change their vision and test them.]
well, so now we jump to the part where they go to the Boling Isles, they go to this planet, to be able to preserve, seal the lives there, but while they were somehow doing that, the Titans who were a predominant people on that planet didn't like to see that, not even a little bit, they thought the Collectors were bad and so they tried to stop them.
*crying*
That's it, and then what we see happens.
Well, it really was a HUGE text 😂
(some details: Collectors are born knowing all existing languages, but they also have their own language, through which they communicate with each other, and with that language they can use magic, some words of them have a lot of power, for example, swear words in that language can cause strong powers in most bad ones.)
(if something in English is wrong or strange, sorry, I'm not an English speaker, I used the translator)

Thank you for your kind words!
“And HeLIcoPtEr HoOty!” Has me laughing on bedroom floor
I also have a headcannon that the collector had a younger sibling at one point but that sibling was taken away due to the archivists being busy and not able to take care of them, leaving the collector to just sort of… exist in the stars until this whole owl house show came into play :3
thank you. finally there is someone in this world who has watch owl house and realized that when luz saved the collector. it looked exactly the way anne saved the whole of amphibia. i thought i was the only one. For that you get a like
Thank you!
But the Archivists got sick of it and noticed their youngest sibling (our collector) never learned their ways (and scribbled on the book they gave him/them) and was always too “distracted” watching titans, so they chose to use them/him
Me:
The Collecter: Pi-zza BAGELS
Centuries? More like untold millenia considering that life evolved atop the titan's carcass.
That's true I guess
7:28 Sleeping Collector
Oh yeah! I completely forgot about that!
The way that I see the ending and most shows is from scene to scene;
Im a hype gremlin and get the most value from the current scene rather than the circumstances surrounding it, so its possible I got so hyped by the rising ost, tension and one of the first times I genuinely felt the fiction was down to the wire, that I missed the potential ending that The Collector "robbed" by showing up.
Yay a video about ENZO GABRIEL
I do think the collectors character arc was shortened extremely which causes the dip in story quality, but I thoroughly enjoyed season 3
So did I!
I agree with everything although I do want to know, where did you get the scroll idea? From the paintings?
In knock knock knockn on hootys Door in Eda's dream archist turned the owl beast into the owl cure (it was a scroll) also oh titan you relpled quick
The Collector has soooo much paralelisms with Luz and King.
And I also love the vibes that he gives.
Like the little prince
I would absolutely watch a series of the collector, traveling from planet to planet and helping people out
Personally I think the way the day of unity was stopped was awesome!
I agree with the points you said
I feel that my main gripe was that too much time was spent for The Day of Unity, for it to have been *never* mentioned again.
Pretty much big brothers didn’t wanna play with little brother so little brother played with kids his age big bros hanged out with the other kids and lil bro is upset and grounded (for some reason idk) but that’s just me
(Edit) I think everyone saw what I did there
Collector is not really an evil kid. It’s a shame King never cared at all about him
The collector is a imaginative child without empathy
3:05
Here's what I think
I'm pretty sure thats not The Collector
I believe that's The Huntsman
A little-alluded to character who strays into fanfic territory
See, the hunting cult had a disk
And it was broken
But The Collector was trapped in the Disk Belos had.. notably a different disk, and not broken, and.. most importantly, The Collector was trapped when the other Archivist tried to trap Eda
Soooooooooooo
What the heck?
Definitely a different Archivist
Also, that Archivist was definitely weaker than The Collector. Using stars as flashbangs, and a glorified shadow net that didn't even work? Come on
It does look like that Archivist's net got countered by another Archivist's magic though
Which implies there was possibly a *third* Archivist in on the action
Funky
The one thing that hurts this theory is that The Huntsman, as I'll call him, has the same voice as the collector, and did appear to grow out of Eda's shadow. So that was probably just a quirk of the writers not quite having worked out who he is yet
Also, The Collector mentions the hunter cult in his backstory, which conflicts a bit with my idea
But
You gotta admit
That second, broken disk is pretty damning. I mean, if not another Archivist, what is it?
So, assuming that disk was in fact another Archivist, how was it broken? How was the Huntsman freed? And why is the Huntsman so.. weak?
Well
I'm pretty sure it's because of that darn wacky hunting cult. The Huntsman, probably coordinating with The Collector to get them freed, gathered some worshippers to gather enough Titan blood to free them
The cult succeeded to a degree, but being the first try, with unproven magic, on a spell that probably wouldn't free them anyway (I mean, there's a big difference between a living Titan willingly letting you out, and using a mostly dead Titan's blood in a sort of magic rite to trick the disk into letting you out)
So long story short, their spell half worked, The Huntsman was freed, his disk cracked, but due to the... Less than perfect method, The Huntsman was very badly injured in the process, rendering him marginally more powerful than a witch, maybe less.
So what we're left with is basically a witch with an OCD-like obsession with capturing things, but not really any real threat, but enough of a personality to, when he left the old hunting cult to go to where The Collector's disk was to try and help free him, inspire another group of mortals to go.. collect things
Idk what they're called, but you know.. those.. guys? The group who tried to capture and sell the owl house when the squad animated it?
Yeah those guys
Anyways
They probably just become a thing because their genuinely is a market for selling things.. though that market may exist because of The Huntsman
Also, The Huntsman is taller
Which makes me think Older Brother
Maybe he was sent to bail out The Collector when relations between Archivists and Titans started going bad
Or maybe he was the Archivist sent to take out the Titans in the first place
Yeah I will be honest I don’t think that archivist was our collector but I do think that all archivists have the same voice
Fair assumption
He is my fav😊♥️
Dude I agree with you so much 10:18
Thanks! Disney really messed up here
I actually prefer how underwhelming it was for the collector to stop the day of unity because it shows how King unleashed an even bigger problem while trying to solve an already existing problem (like Luz) and the collector stopping the draining spell with the tip of a single finger really puts the "Welp, we screwed up" into perspective.
The personal grudge Belos had against Eda is because how similar she looks (and maybe acts) to her ancestor Evelyn, the witch that, in Phillip's eyes, started it all.

Maybe the curse pre dates the boiling isles
As, in that Flashback, we see other Titan body.
And This collector look a lot more alike the Archivists
I like to think that the collector wanted to mimik their siblings and tried to collect creatures but made them into this scrolls like the Owl beast
If not, well… at least I could see it being a Collector conected to the archivists or an archivist itself
3:09
no, besides in this time it was a collector catching the owl beast before turning it into a curse, as shown when it becomes the scroll, we aren't exactly sure where we are with the clawthorne family at this time but i'll assume this is before eda or a time where she was young.

Given that the Collector has older siblings, I'm betting that the Huntsman was one such sibling and was the one who hunted the owl beast. Especially considering that the location of where the owl beast was hunted was the area the Titan trappers would settle in who worshipped an archivist by the name the Huntsman.
Two great characters in one video?!
heres my thoery: the owl is a titan but when the collector or one of the archivist caught the owl they sealed it in some kind of prison and they made a spell out of it to curse some one lilith found that curse and used it on eda and as we see once they found out the owl is out of its seal they went to go capture it and saying the collector that captured eda we see it had the cloaths of a collector on which means it had a phsical body why and we see the collector has a half body demonsion thing
