I'm glad that Luz redeemed the Collector and King became the Collector's friend.

(And overestimated the power of pinky-swears) That and his not having a real grasp on the concept of death. Probably just figured belos played rough with “his toys” and just preferred to get new ones rather than fix the old ones.

BUT HE'S STILL A CHILD!!! 😭 He doesn't deserve to be manipulated by Belos >:( And I wonder what the Collector looks like in the future at the end of TOH's final scene. And I would be his bestie forever and ever if I have to!
When the Collector tried “Kindness and Forgiveness” on Belos, I just thought to myself “Sweetie, no, this isn’t Naruto. Talk no Jutsu doesn’t work here.”
I like how the Collector’s limbs got shorter in between Season 2 and 3. This is probably due to the show creators wanting the Collector more childish and they decided to make that decision after the Season 2 finale aired.
That or he grew a bit in time he was imprisoned and those were just a bit small on him now that he was corporeal again. After all, when a kid gets bigger they usually don’t notice until they start moving around and their clothes don’t feel right.
@@danieloceansmith3156Not exactly…. You see, when The Season 3 E2 opening begins, Collector already has his shorter limbs. Did he magically change his clothes in between S2 and S3?
I watched a video essay talking about the difference in the Collector's personality in S2 vs S3 episode 2 (it was made before the finale aired). They were saying they think the difference in emotion is because the collector doesn't have a clear sense of identity, and desperately wants to not be alone, so he mirrors whoever is giving him attention at that moment. Thus with Belos, he was a lot more mean and made snide remarks all the time, probably similar to the sarcasm Belos would show. But, when he had King as a more positive influence, he was able to be more childlike
That makes a lot of sense. Even if it wasn't quite that, obviously the Collector would give off the same vibes because he's going to give back what he gets. If Belos treated him poorly (which is likely because Belos treated everyone poorly), the Collector would respond poorly and even after that, not immediately leave that headspace when away from Belos's influence and bad vibes. The Collector was effectively trapped in an abusive relationship, much like Hunter. Since King was kind and the Collector had more time to be around him and be free, the Collector had a chance to relax and be himself again.
I always knew they would redeem the collector, ever since we first saw him talk with bellos. Their was way to much ‘innocent child’ in him. But I really like how they explained it, with Papa Titan regretting his actions.
I love how the collector is a really powerful and probably immortal being but they’re also just a child and don’t understand how mortal life works. He just wants to play and have fun 😭😭
just realized his line about "what is this stuff?" isn't directed at the growing stuff on his hands or at their feet, its referring to his tears. he only asks the question once he starts crying and you can see him get confused and try and wipe them off.
I keep going back and forth on what they were referring to. At first I thought it was their tears, then I thought it was the gunk, then back to the tears. Honestly I think they were talking about the gunk, we can see them at least almost crying when they and Luz were having a heart to heart conversation, I think that they would’ve cried after being sealed away and/or seeing all the titans die. I know it would be interesting character wise if they didn’t know what crying was, but they also saw Eda, King, and Luz cry when they met up again. Also probably every time a golden guard was about to be killed.
I loved The Collector ever since they were released. It only took the finale to finally make him my favorite character too. Boy did the kid had us fooled. When in shadow form, was he really that innocent or his the maliciousness through a childish disposition? It was quite hard to tell. I was so happy when it was the former! He just needed someone like Luz to point him in the right direction. Trying to redeem Belos to apply Luz's lesson was truly a great attempt, so it was so sad to see him trying in the last person who desereved it. It was WAY too heartbreaking to see him cry and learn about death the hard way. Seeing the person that made him open up and teach him about friends just vanishing like that and there was nothing not even his powerful magic could do must've done a heavy number on the poor kid 😭
Honestly, it kind of surprised me when the Collector didn't betray kings trust by sleeping with Francois anyway. It speaks to a part of the collector that genuinely wants to do the right thing, but doesn't really know much about what the "Right thing" even is.
I remember when I reacted with my friend to the chapters where the collector comes out, and he was like "DAMN SON OF A BIT-" and I was like "IT'S A FUCKING CHILD"
someone else has definitely mentioned this but the fact that when the collector meets king his immediate reaction is to ask him to play hide and seek, like when the archivists sent him down to play with the other titan babies,, they must have missed it so much
I like that this show took someone that would have been considered a scary, immature cosmic entity in any other art/media, and instead addressed how he's still a child. It's like if someone looked at all the kids-struggling/dealing/inflicting-powers trope (like that one kid from one of the Twilight Zone episodes, or most of the psychic protagonists from Stephen King's books), and realized that they're still kids that need guidance, and most of them came from a rough home life. The empathy for the Collector feels refreshing. (It also kinda reminds me of when Discord was redeemed in MLP, though he's an adult that's aware of how his powers affect the world).

Disneys Willkommen im Haus der Eulen beziehungsweise The Owl House ist eine ausgezeichnete hervorragende Serie, welche ich für immer regelmäßig anschaue.
0:49 I still say this should’ve killed Bleos so that it would really show how much stronger the Collector is by comparison and gave us more time with the Collector by making him the main villain of s3 ep3. Belos had his time in the spotlight, but the star child is just better.
I'd love to read a comic or novel about the Collector vs the Archivists; they were like this ultimate threat that he was either hiding from or keeping at bay somehow, and I want to know the whole story there.
They definitely became one of my favorites immediately from the first time we saw them only cuz of their design. But now he's one of my favorites just cuz of his character in general. At first, I thought he was going to be the new major villain for the end of the show, but the more we saw him the more I realized he wasn't a bad guy, but simply a child who's been misguided and needed help for becoming a better person. Dana did the right move on giving The Collector character development and becoming good rather than keeping him evil and sealing him away again. He's definitely an S tier character for me in The Owl House! tl;dr: I loved him only for his design, but later loved his character. It's good how he wasn't turned into an actual villain but was given a second chance. S tier character!
Collector is definitely one of my favs. He was just a kid, a powerful one at that, trying to make friends. I'm really glad they didn't try and reseal him again or anything. Hate for him to go through all that again .
I like when hes telling what his family. Did to him? It's not? A spoiled. Little brat not getting? His. Way? It's not a pity party. It's not him trying to say I didn't know wrong because I was forced. It's actually well honest to goodness pain in his voice what he. Had? To go through the suffering he had to go through being a kid. That goes a little temperature from every now and again isn't that bad? When we all know that all he has to do is snap his fingers and he probably couldn't end the whole universe

He's so small and adorable 😍🥰😍🥰😍🥰😍💜💕🧡🤣⭐🌜🤣😂
0:49 I still say this should’ve killed Bleos so that it would really show how much stronger the Collector is by comparison and gave us more time with the Collector by making him the main villain of s3 ep3. Belos had his time in the spotlight, but the star child is just better.
It pretty much did kill him, since ever since that point he needed to possess other people to stay alive, severely deteriorating whenever he didn't.
@@dracos0024 what Im saying is that he should’ve just stayed dead and not been able to come back in any way shape or form including possession
He's such an interesting character I swear, I loved the way he was redeemed. I wish we had a little bit more of him, little moonie child 🥺
He's just so cute 😍
And adorable❤
I'd love to read a comic or novel about the Collector vs the Archivists; they were like this ultimate threat that he was either hiding from or keeping at bay somehow, and I want to know the whole story there.
As much as I love The Collector and the ending, it would be nice if he got a season to himself. But Disney didn't allow it.
Ikr! Season 4 is NEEDED!
DISNEY, I SWEAR TO GOD THAT WE BETTER HAVE A SEASON FOUR WITH EPISODES FOR EACH CHARACTER

The collector was my favorite character the first time I saw his design ☺️
Collector: I’m not angry.
Also Collector: Boops Belos so hard he liquifies on contact.
XDDDDD
The Collector is a lot like Casper the friendly ghost. The rest of his kin like to go on the genocide run, but he would rather do the pacifist run.
Collector is definitely one of my favs. He was just a kid, a powerful one at that, trying to make friends. I'm really glad they didn't try and reseal him again or anything. Hate for him to go through all that again .
That part where he got tired and plopped down from the star I just wanted to scoop him up tell him he did great and hold him 🥺
I like the little nod when he says “you need to have more faith in pinky swears”
5:16 BRO MY INSIDE CRIED
I like when hes telling what his family. Did to him? It's not? A spoiled. Little brat not getting? His. Way? It's not a pity party. It's not him trying to say I didn't know wrong because I was forced. It's actually well honest to goodness pain in his voice what he. Had? To go through the suffering he had to go through being a kid. That goes a little temperature from every now and again isn't that bad? When we all know that all he has to do is snap his fingers and he probably couldn't end the whole universe
The Collector is the best character 💕🤣🧡😂💕❤️💜💚💕💙🥰💙🧡💙💚🤣😂🌜⭐🌜🌜⭐🌜⭐🌜⭐🌜⭐🌜⭐⭐⭐🌜⭐🌜😇😇😇😇
the "You like hide and seek? I'll hide first!" hits different on me now
