Ben Bram does arrangements in conjunction with the members of PTX. Ed Boyer does their sound mixing. I don't think either one is involved with the video editing process.
Amen to that! I kept thinking "holy heck, am I back at the homecoming dance?" 😆 Class of '95, baby! And I swear I had those sunglasses at some point in my high school days.
I love watching reactors listen to this for the first time. It's a whole heap of reactions for the price of one! Every new song brings out another smile, as the memories come flooding back. PTX are so tight. In fact, the whole ensemble are, just like you say. Arrangement, recording, lighting, mixing, the whole heap, all top drawer. And to cap it all off, it just makes you feel so good.
Haha yes! Their 90s Dance Medley just blew me away! I seriously was not expecting to have as much fun as I did while watching. But they continue to surprise everyone with their remarkable talent!
If you liked this, you should check out their Evolution ones. They are done in one take, they have Evolution of Music, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Arianna Grande, and Rhianna and any of those is friggan epic!
Their stylist is stellar, always fitting the mood of the song AND their individual personalities. I love when they get theatrical like “Making Christmas”, “Radioactive”, “My favorite things”, etc. Really, it’s all good. 🤗
Great reaction. Thanks. They made a fun video with awesome vocals. For a very colorful, fun, silly, beautifully performed Pentatonix video, please react to their cover of Cosmos Sheldrake's song, "Come Along". As a singer, I think that you would appreciate it. Congrats on your new role.
Scott and Mitch made an album called Future Friends in 2017. One of the songs and videos they created for it is Heartthrob. It is all about them being gay teens obsessed with the Tigerbeat heartrobs of the early 90s, in a sleep over setting. It is a lot of fun.
So much fun and nostalgia. Mind blowing isn't it? They all look so damn fine, especially Matt. Him dancing in that blue & black checkered jacket has lived rent free in my head since the premiere. And this is my favorite Kirstin look. Those curls are everything! Another great reaction. You looked like you were having fun. This is my second favorite thing they have done. Hopefully you'll get to my absolute favorite, New Rules x Are You That Somebody, soon. 😉🙏🏼
Thanks for pointing it out. You're the first reactor I've seen to specifically mention how well the video cuts/slides/etc are timed to the beat. It's always 'just felt right' to me. Now I know a little more about why.
Among the obvious, that’s something else that PTX does exceptionally well and that’s .............Always leaving with us wanting the song to go longer, we don’t want it to end. Thanks for your reaction. Just subbed.

I have to hand it to Jeffery's review of this outstanding video from PTX. He articulates in correct musical, video and cultural terms what makes PTX's latest 90's video and medley so addicting to watch and listen to. There are some people on UA-cam that have no business attempting to review music videos because they are incapable of any conscious, continuous thinking and speaking.
Haha thanks so much for that Larry! I believe in educating my audience through my video reactions as well as entertaining them. I'm happy you found my reaction insightful!

The most noticeable ones being Blue and Believe. Autotune being used in 90s dance music was such a huge thing that it really wouldn't have come off right if they didn't. They use it for effect, though, and not for pitch correction. Oh and one other thing. Her name is KIRstin, not KRIstin. Great reaction.
I know 😂 I realized I mispronounced her name as I was editing the video. I will get it right next time! Yeah I knew they used autotune for effect. It was a cool touch! Thanks for watching 😁
I think Kirsten's hair was a nod to the 90's . . . but . . . I agree - Looks Gr8! In "Believe" I think Matt and Mitch also had a bit of autotune . . as an iconic nod to Cher.
Jeffrey -- It's a completely different vibe, of course, but really, PTX put out their rendition of "Amazing Grace" and you've just gotta see it! The costumes! The cinematography! the Harmonies! You go to heaven for five minutes, and come back with your mind wiped clean. You need to review it, for your own sake, for your heart's sake...

They released this video completely out of the blue (no pun intended) and nobody really knows where this came from. Is this the leadoff single to an unannounced new covers album? Or is it a promo medley of songs about to appear on a 90s dance music covers album that's gonna feature complete versions of all 17 songs in the medley? I am REALLY anxious to find out. And Kirstie is really channeling J-Lo in this one, both sounds AND looks!! Just an FYI, Kevin's last name is pronounced "Oh-LOOSH-Oh-La". It took me a while to get it right too. And it's Kirstie (rhymes with thirsty) or Kirstin, not Kristin. She actually gets perturbed when people call her the wrong name. The autotune was an intentional tribute to Cher, who was the first artist to use autotune (in Believe) as an artistic expression rather than a correction measure.
I really enjoy your reactions ! I like that you are a very expressive person, and I like your comments too, it’s really interesting to have your point of view on the songs, and everything else 😉 keep going ! @@JeffreyHackReacts it isn't auto-tune, but one thing Avi (the bass of ptx until he left) can do is over tones. He sings 2 pitches at once. Low and high. He has only done it in a few songs. You have to really pay attention to notice it, but it's impressive.
Kirstie was really rockin' the big curls she had in the video!
Yes she was!
Have you heard Scott Hoying’s new song, a solo ?! Is priceless.
The genius behind their arrangements and editing are Ben Bram and Ed Boyer.

Well Ed Boyer does a hell of a job mixing their music!

They have an arranger that has been with them since the sing off. He doesn't get enough credit. He and Scott went to college together.
Wow! The more you know! I wish his name was mentioned as a special thanks or something.
