  • Welcome back to my channel friends! In this video I show how I repaired these drawers from what appears to be a late 1800’s chest of drawers. The bottoms were in horrible shape including holes and was repaired before with nails which is not a realistic option considering the bottom was made of poplar and not plywood. I had to remove part of the drawer side and make new parts to hold the drawer bottom in place which meant I had to replicate the dovetails and box joints by hand. I didn’t worry about staining the new material to look the same as the older, because it would be impossible to match especially because two of the drawer sides were complete poplar, one was poplar and Oak and one was just Oak. If you haven’t done so yet, please subscribe to my channel, like the video, share it with people who you may think we’ll find it interesting and if you have any questions or feedback on my technique or anything for that matter, please leave a comment! I truly appreciate each, and everyone of y’all’s views and likes and of course comments. It really helps my channel grow and gives me more motivation to produce better videos. Take care and God Bless each and every one of you!

    Awesome Job!
This is from a dresser that was my Grandparents made in late 1800 or early 1900.
    Thank you ❤
