Like you, I discovered Kiss at 10 or 11, but it was 1976. I was at my grandparents house and we were watching the Paul Lynde Halloween Special. When Kiss stepped off the elevator, my life changed. It was the moment I think I first had my own musical interest rather than just listening to what my parents listened to. "We don't wear makeup..."
Also, I agree with your comment, I thought having Ace sing the second verse of Cold Gin was genius. Watching the videos from the first year of the reunion, they did give off this family enjoying themselves vibe and Cold Gin personified it. It's a shame it didn't last long.
I really do feel lucky to be born in 1964. And had older brothers. Went to the 1996 concert. It was very exciting. Place was packed to the rafters. The crowd. Everyone showed up.
Love your passion, love the review, the red looks good like it came straight outta Eraldo Carugati’s paintbrush when he did that drip of blood on Gene’s solo, right there on the fly, in front of Dennis Woloch, or pretty well matched to the dripping in blood KISS Logo from the inside cover of Love Gun. I was at this concert in ‘96 so I was quite glad they released it as a vinyl. The Peter drumming sound I think was compromised by the way they mic’d the drums to make them sound louder than Peter could actually play. I didn’t know about the impending release coming from 1977 so that sounds like it’s gonna be good. You’re right about the cover art though, the packaging is unimaginative as hell, that poster would have made much more interesting art work while retaining the bootleg vibe, anyway, great review, Looking forward to more KISS reviews!
Yes! Funny stuff but intertwined with good information. This is how it’s done! I was at the reunion tour in DC. Amazing to see. I like the glam kiss 80s era which most people don’t like. But..I like all of the eras. Always keep rocking what you do. Very well put together.
Love ya Mick ! Doesn't matter what you talk about , your an entertaining dude ! Life's been tough but you give me some laughs and smiles 😁 thanks buddy !
cool vid dude! I have bought this vinyl cause that show has a special place in my heart - I was at the show and it was the first time I saw KISS and it was an amazing show! The line up was pretty cool and they followed OZZY on the day and he did a great show as well (and that was the first time I got to see OZZY as well!)
Awesome! I actually just got the cd yesterday. I bought the vargina beach show, but that’s because Christmas 2013 I got the Rock the Nation DVD, and it was one of the gateway things that got me into the band. I thought this doninton show was the best show they released yet. Super exited for the 77’ show, already got it on pre order! Anything from the Dressed to Kill tour - Asylum tour I’m totally in! Really hopin for Dynasty tour, Lick It Up tour and asylum, those are the 3 I want the most!
Great vid mick, I’m loving these off the soundboard releases as well, I’m hoping they release one for rock n roll over tour, unmasked tour and asylum Tour and hot in the shade tour especially since we never had a alive and live album with late great Eric carr sadly. Hey mick do u like the band Ramones?
Kiss is My Favourite Band of all time and Ace My favourite guitar Player.I'll be honest Eric Carr is My Favourite kiss Drummer but every Drummer kiss Had we're great and all fit perfectly to the time. I would Love If the brought Out Something from the Revenge tour
Hi Mick! You are better than Jack Black 🤘 I love your channel and I watch everything from you. KISS is one of my favorite bands too. I was at a concert a month ago in Dortmund/ germany. That was a great show. Cheers 🤘
Absolutely love the first wave of “Glam” Mötley Crüe,Ratt,W.A.S.P.,Dokken and Quiet Riot are my favorites. The second wave? Hmmm a lot of it sucks to me.But some I do dig are Skid Row,Winger, early Cinderella and some Poison to name some.
I was at the gig standing right next to the massive bonfire that got ignited when Kiss took to the stage. Them guys blew me away . Excellent 😍😍😍😎🥁✌
Such a special time time to be a KISS fan. I was 20 years old. Got to see them twice in Indianapolis. Total magic. Thanks for the review!
Fun album review! Looking much more forward to cracking open my copy, now. Hilarious ending! ROCK ON!

Saw KISS in 1996 in Little Rock Ar. I was 17 and it still to this day is the best concert ive ever been to.
The Alive IV that we always dreamed of and that until now has happened...
Yep! It would’ve been cool for a 96-97 ALIVE! Record with 3-4 new tracks written by the guys during that tour.
I was at this gig, 1 hour drive from where i live, what a great day ! Took some great photos, never seen any pro shot video footage of it though.
