I have loved this series for years and have come back to your page over and over again, hoping for another installment of this series. You’re one of my favourite creators overall, and have been for years, but I just wanted to say I especially appreciate this series.
@@dva5610problem with the row is that for almost double the price of Hermes and loro piana, I expect double the quality. Which you just don't get! The quality is great but I've had Hermes ready to wear for a lot less!
I love this series - thank you so much for bringing it back 💕 Also, thank you for using some of the loafers you already had in your closet--it was great to get a long-term review for those. For future videos, I think it'd be so helpful to have styling tips since there were so many styles in the mix (ex. when might you go for a horsebit loafer vs penny loafer, etc.). I'm sure you don't have everything from previous episodes, but it'd also be neat to have a round-up of all the items that were ranked #1 and hear about if you still like them now. Another great video!
Sebago is pronounced se- "bay"- go, named after the Sebago Lake region in the state of Maine in the US, where they were first manufactured. Sebago Lake was named after the native Sebago tribe that originally lived in that area. The Sebago boat shoes have become a cult classic in the US, though sadly they are no longer manufactured in Maine, they are now manufactured in other countries.
Love this series 🤍 Also just a take from someone with wide feet/a different foot shape to Lizzy and who owns most of these loafers: 1. The GH Bass really cut up the backs of my ankles when wearing them in but they've softened over the years and are so comfortable now. 2. GH Bass also do an Easy Weejun which has rubber soles so less slippy but they're noticeably more narrow than their standard. 3. The Flattered and Gucci's get my vote for wide feet! 4. The Row Canal loafers/slippers are a good option for wide feet if you want a Row loafer (still OTT pricing though.) 5. Lizzy - are the navy linen trousers in your 'slobby' outfit from Whistles??? xx
I just love this series! I’d love to see a follow up video of you styling the loafers or a companion video showing what you wore throughout the weeks of testing! I always enjoyed that aspect in your old testing basic videos. I can’t wait to see the next “episodes”
vagabond loafers are my absolute favourite shoes I’ve ever bought! I’ve worn them as a full time server for over a year - I feel I could walk forever in them
I appreciate this series sooo much!! I'd love to see your take on shorts, white linen pants/skirts or maybe even dresses, summer dresses, comfy but cool sandals, sweatshirt & sweatpant set... ❤
I constantly suffer from friction with leather shoes and the Compeed anti-friction stick saved me! just needs to be applied to the most sensitive areas of skin and wait 10 minutes before putting on your shoes. costs less than patches, works more efficiently 🌺
I've had the GH Bass ones for 9 years and find them incredibly comfortable and can walk forever in them. But I did put a Dr. Scholl's heel cushion insert on the inside back when I got them, so I would recommend that.
I have a GH Bass as well and they did the exact same thing rubbing under my ankle, now I exclusively wear them in colder weather with some socks to provide against rubbing :)
Appreciated this video! I highly recommend cedar shoe trees if you want to help shoes keep their shape for when you’re done wearing them. Won’t keep creases from happening completely but I think they help and also help freshen them when wearing shoes with no socks.
Love testing basics. I have no need for a loafer, and not planning to buy a pair anytime soon, yet here I am with baited breath watching the whole video. Your hair cut and colour is also so perfect atm 🩵
Lovely video :) The Gucci loafers look amazing. Do you find them breathable in the warmer months ? Or they get quite sweaty without socks in your experience?
Probably would have been worth trying some of the loafers at Carmina boutique in NYC. (the ability to choose a last and not only a size can really help people nail down their fit more easily)
Amazing video! Id like to have some informations about your experience with vans slip on. You used them in the past if Im not wrong (I remember seeing them in one of your shoes collection videos) but unfortunately there are no videos about them in your channel.
being a loafer girl i loved this testing basics. I need to replace a couple of pairs of loafers this fall and will definitely use this video as a guide. I am so happy you liked Sebago as I have been super curious about that brand. Can I ask what was the black v neck knit you were wearing at the end during your summary?
So glad the Gucci came out top, I find them so comfy. Next TB idea..would you consider linen shirts ? I’m sure you did that before but an updated one would be great x
I bought the Gucci Jordan mules last year. They were comfortable from the first wear. They are high quality. Reassuring to hear your comments. Now I’m going to look at the loafers! 😂
Next one maybe funky (sorry) leather belts? I loooove your khaite one so much but I can’t bear to part with that much £ away (also I’ve just moved flat so by that I mean I CAN’T part away with that much lol) so maybe khaite can be the most expensive one? Also i get it if still comes in first, it’s v beautiful tbf. Great video and I’ve also been introduced to a new brand too. Have a good sunday!
Lizzie, please help me! I have ordered two pairs of Gucci 1953 women’s loafers - one in size 39, one in size 38.5. The 39 (my usual size) slips slightly on the heel. The 38.5 fits snuggly but I am worried that my toes may slightly pinch. The women’s style is slightly different to your men’s style which is squarer in the toe. Do you think the leather will soften and be so supple that my toe won’t feel a pinch in due course? I just don’t know which size to keep.
great video Liz! How are you feeling? You feel a bit raw in the intro clip, which doesnt at all reflect poorly on the video or your performance, just makes it feel all the more real and true and honest. so I guess I'm just writing that to send you my love and thoughts really.
I need help with loafers please. I have big, wide feet and muscular calves, should I try to make my feet look as small as possible or balance out my calves? Thank you for your help.
My 1953 gucci patent loafers are my fave. just beautiful to look at although the patent does take time to wear in. there has been quite a price increase in the last several years! like almost 50%!
@@janemackrell3733 I’m usually an Italian 38, 7 in sandals and 7.5 in boots/sneakers and got the 1953 loafers in 37.5. my heel slipped out in the 38. but keep in mind, I can’t wear the 37.5 with a thicker sock, only with a very thin one or just barefooted. they are also relatively pretty narrow shoes. so keep the width of your feet in mind as well. Hope that helps!

Hi. Thank you for making this video!
Do you face any odour issues with the Gucci loafers if worn continuously without socks?

IMHO, the Flattered style is a moccasin not a loafer : - )

I know you can’t review everything, but I would have appreciated seeing a review of Dear Frances.
I have the Gucci loafers and they are soo good… and I managed to get them half off because they were mistakenly put on sale at Nordstrom 😆
anyone remember the Celine loafers? Old school Lizzy fans? I was hoping they'd get a mention.

i'm jealous all of these would completely destroy my feet. you are lucky!

Really appreciate in a loafer that they go “high”? Like i dont love that they only cover the toes like ballerinas

My friend hurt her feet because she was wearing the Prada loafers in London so yeah…just because they’re Prada…doesn’t mean that they’re that great
👌🏼
If you have a shoe with a leather sole and you don't want to put rubber soles on them, just scoot your feet a few times across a brick sidewalk
Fab
you are beautiful you greet me
Are they patent leather?? No, I don't think they are. That aside, great video
Really enjoyed the review!! Keep it up!! 🇨🇦👍🩷🩷
