I’m on a budget budget. I didn’t know what I was getting and bought Alice pouches. I regret it but they work. Also I bought a pair of OD green shorts that max the colour of a pixie shirt and wear those. Idk if it’s accurate but it helps in the Aussie summer!
I got a good deal at a thrift store i found a Mitchell helmet cover for 2 bucks and on Amazon I got a good deal on a m1 helmet for 50 bucks even though its kinda shitty im buying a new liner to make it more comfortable
i doubt I can ever budget vietnam gear due to being astralian, unless I find some australian or unmarked M1956/61 gear but otherwise finding a vietnam era helmet is expensive, i've managed to get a post war one, but that set me back 143 aus dollars already. but yeah.
Better strap up that gear. Sounds like there is a war going on in your livingroom. Anyway man dope video once again. Will eventually get around and pick up some stuff for my own fit
Hey Inbush, I'd love to get a lightweight or a tropical rucksack somewhat mint for a price range of 3 - 450$, do you have any recommendations of a place to pick up?
No that’s impossible the only way that could happen is if someone had no idea what it cost and sold it for 20 bucks you could buy a reproduction on Facebook but it’s only the pack not the frame so you’ll have to also get a frame which can be super expensive
If you have an uncle/relative who knows how to weld and is also a blacksmith (lizama forge come check us out) you can give them aluminum cans and they’ll make a rucksack frame for you just go to any blacksmith tell them the dimensions of the frame and they can probably make a reproduction that is even better quality than originals
Warhol Hille Wait what I bought a tropical rucksack off Facebook it didn’t have a frame but I think it is a real one because it’s beat to shit And I paid 80 bucks so it also has the right stamping and it’s the right colour
@@Heisenberg000. well first off there’s a difference between a light weight rucksack and a tropical rucksack lightweights have a frame to go with it and were seen mid to late war and tropical rucksacks were seen late war and had straps instead of a whole frame but I don’t know maybe you just got lucky and the person didn’t know what they we’re doing and just wanted to get rid of it as I stated on my comment
Warhol Hille oh yeah I know there’s a difference between the light weight and the tropical and yeah I definitely got lucky the guy didn’t call it a tropical he called it like a Vietnam backpack but yeah on eBay they’re like $500 so that was a steal
You guys are paying 10$ for ammo pouches?! I got my complete Vietnam accurate gear for less than 80$ except the helmet which is just a west german M1 helmet clone with an OD green cover
@@Inbush-cx6tt I got lucky my surplus store still goes by the surplus mantra i.e. stuff that is surplussed because it is no longer needed by the military therefore it is dirt cheap when the military doesn’t want something anymore you can count on it being dirt cheap when I found out M56 buttpacks were fairly rare I bought all of my stores own each selling for 15$ the best 60$ I’ve ever spent
