1 year of youtube can be draining but you've aced it. You've got so many great ideas for future videos so it'll be interesting to see what you make next!
i love your reviews personally because they shows the features of the game and they are on point. I encourage you to experiment with any ideas you have, i enjoy your implementation of them.
Pet channel! :D Also, welcome back and happy anniversary! I do enjoy game devs breaking down the games that inspire them. I feel these videos are mostly design focused, however. And that's great for general audiences, but since your channel has gained a lot of attention from other devs, you could maybe break down the systems behind the games. I feel like you do a good job of explaining how and why you've implemented systems into your own games, so I'd be curious to see your insight into the systems behind other games.
I love creatives just having a conversation about their interests, approaches and "philosophies". Your gaming experiences with giving broader context would be also awesome! I really enjoy when someone explains why something works/doesn't, outlining the thought process.
it's nice that you mentioned how time-consuming it is to edit the videos for youtube. Whatever you choose, it's important that you enjoy it. Best luck!
You learned programming insanely fast compared to me. I decided to finish my degree with computer science. You continue to inspire me to make games and learn. Excited to see what you make in the future, and can’t wait for hidden tactics!
i feel like focusing on the game design aspect with your channel (game reviews, game dev interviews, ...) is the way to go for you, in my personal opinion.
Salut !
Hey, if you want to talk about what you like in games, it could be super interesting, especially if you inspire yourself from Ego, The Great Review or What A Fail. Those 3 channels are insanely well produced, but the principle of talking about games is, I think, always very interesting !
I think you could create videos on game analysis or game design and share your thoughts on a particular indie or AAA game-doesn't matter-focusing on its design system and philosophy from your perspective as a developer. Sometimes, viewers (like me) just want a place to feel part of a community, have a little chit-chat, and listen.
I loved Pacific Drive, and would have loved to review it fully after I played it. I'd be glad to try it out, feel free to reach out when you're ready to !
Honestly, why not everything kind of at once? I think it would be helpful for both you as creator and us as audience if you would make like a single test video on every mentioned topic, and then we'll see how it goes Also not necessarily a pet channel, but personally I would love if ocassionally you just inserted pet footage in your videos, maybe something funny they did or if smth happened in their live, or tell a little fact about them, and then get back to the topic of the video. It would be a breather in the middle to shut your brain off for a moment and enjoy some animals. And it fits your vibe I think! Your channel is appealing to me because of how homey, approachable and opened you are, while still maintaining some professionalism, and I think other people watching you feel the same way. Anyway, whatever you do, it should be enjoyable for you, and then everyone else will get "infested" with this enjoyment

Thanks for the feedback and for your idea for potential game reviews, I'll keep that in mind 😁
