Thanks a lot for the video, mendez. I played warlock back in curse of osiris and then dropped it in forsaken for hunter and (much less often) titan. i watched this video and decided to dust off the ol lock and ngl i've been having a really fun time zipping around in crucible. now if i can just stop falling off the map, i'll be set 😅

I don’t know the stats on how many people who skate use macros, but it is a very doable mech on controller/kbm. Honestly well skating makes warlock very fun for me and might for other people who may be turned away by the macro statement.
I usually don’t mention macros but I only say this from my past when I made my wellskate video people asked for macro links and whatnot I think warlock well skating and hunter shatter skating are what helps guide people to them in terms of speeding up gameplay
i use snap skating alot becuase i dont have high fps, so its the only way ive found to get fast movement as alot of the other movement tech just doesn't work on my pc.
i dont use macro and snap skating is very easy to do once you get in the habit of it.
( you can also snap skate on stasis and strand with the exact same input)

You can rubber band sling over things which allows you to sling yourself across the map hard to pull off but possible

Snap skating and well skating aint macrod usually, they are legit the easiest mechanics to do
I feel like most issues with going too fast is that there is little to no air control, your just a floating brick in the void. If they had an air strafe mechanic it would make falling and going fast so much better because you can control where you go to an extent as something similar to apex or titan fall, but not as fast
Thank you didn't know about dead slide. But remember it happening and always blamed it on my controller.
Yeah it’s been in the game for ages and some people can easily avoid it but other times it can just randomly happen at the worst time possible glad this helped 🙏🏽
You should do a video on optimization for fps. You have basically the same specs as me and get almost double the frames. Witchcraft.
There’s some stuff you can change in cvars like shadows and whatnot but always make sure you graphics drivers are up to date

Snap skating is so op in PVP
You need to adjust the noise gate or noise suppression on your microphone. Wasn’t terrible but it kept cutting off the tail end of your sentences throughout the video.

Can you make a console guide?
D2 movement is good but sliding is way to short to chain that momentum into a jump or a jump abillity. Another problem to get very easy and fast upwards, Titans have no problem also hunters but warlocks and its more related to coding.
The move fast without Icarus Dash segment - is this something that's possible to do on controller?
You can’t do it on controller but you can use your burst glide but you have to time it so you go down instead of up, and when you hit the ground you burst again immediately
I use my scroll wheel to switch my weapons do you know if there's a way to macro multiple buttons in a key bind. I use shift and spacebar to run and jump, is it possible to say macro shift and spacebar to have the same effect as scroll wheel skating?
Or does that completely defeat the purpose
You can put scroll wheel up and scroll wheel down as a bind for your key bind
@@Mend5z and still use scroll up and scroll down as my switch weapons also or would that remove that function
@chrono2959 oh if you use scroll wheel up and down to swap weapons I would take away one of them keybinds for the jump bind, movement goes a long way and for the one that you do get rid of I would say to get rid of the one that you use less
Great video but surprised your running the lowest tier mobility. Does that affect warlock movement?
That’s was actually something I forgot to add into the video to answer the question yes for warlock skating you want the lowest mobility possible so you can stay closer to the ground
Mobility doesnt help scroll wheel skate right, it makes it less consistent?
I use 19 mobility to stay lower to the ground
PvP newb here ✋ Am I supposed to spam the scroll wheel or do discreet single scrolls at a specific pace?
I usually do one swift scroll and it doesn’t even have to be a long push or pull (whatever you make your keybind) it just have to be enough to proc your jump multiple times

Thanks. But I wasn't able to understand the instructions for chain sliding. Can you help me with the sequence of the keys to do that? Also, how's it different from a normal slide while peeking?
Chain sliding is very simple first you sprint then you look whatever direction you want then hit your slide / crouch keybind if you have any further questions don’t be afraid to ask

@@Mend5zso I was trying this out but unlike you, I have to start my sprint again before I can slide. What am I missing
So idk if you play mnk or controller but since your previous comment said “keys” I’ll assume mnk make sure you tap shift or your sprint keybind before try to slide otherwise you will just slide then crouch. In theory the faster you tap sprint after sliding the faster you can begin your next slide

Melee and Grenade are my mouse side buttons, crouch is ctrl, Icarus dash is C
What sens n dpi you use? sometimes i think im putting myself in a bad spot for playing on high sens

I’m surprised many people use macros for snap skating. It’s honestly not too difficult. I was wondering why people said I was a cheater when I did snap skating :P.

I’m so confused do I have a setting wrong or something? When I scroll wheel slide I just go flying straight into the sky. Even when I try the slope burst thing I just end up going straight up

@@Mend5z at about 140. Definitely just something im doing tho cause i cant get the momentum skate right either just end up in the sky no chained movement forward

If you don't have a top rate internet connection, don't even think about this stuff. That frame rate disclaimer? It means lots of people Can Not achieve this, because our connections can't support it.

Connection has nothing to do with being able to skate if d2 had an offline mode and you could still get 120+ fps you could still skate

You say a Higher FPS is better but in ps5 the Limit is 60fps
I don’t really understand on how fps works for the newer consoles but iirc they should always get 120 fps
