I think Menace is the game I'm looking forward to the most, maybe it can fill that void in my soul that Phoenix point left.

@@giankjojo Yeah loved Battle Brothers, i hope I'm not getting too hyped like i did for Phoenix Point, but i don't see how that studio can mess up what is looking to be X-com mixed with Battle Brothers but with an Aliens the movie aesthetic.
Age of History 3 would be big if true. I love paradox's products, but some competition is desperately needed
Just wait until you see what a couple companies have got in the works.
There are sole very interesting grand strategy games being produced behind the scenes. And advancing technology will make them alot more dense and complex than what was previously possiblem
age of history 3 is going to my favourite this year (well hopefully this year) cause it has a built in mod / scenario editor.
Homeworld 3 is my most anticipated. Played the originals and got very fond memories from them. Really hoping the new one follows on as an excellent addition to the Homeworld franchise.
Played Homeworld as a young teenager, it is still one of the games I'm thinking of revisiting one day.
hope pushing it back to march isn't a bad sign

Y'all are forgetting cataclysm! That game (all though a spin off of the original) is just as good as the others! I even have the un popular opinion that's it's better than 2!
Menace is what I'm most excited for. Battle Brothers is tied for best turn based tactics game of all time in my eyes.

Age of History 3 is gonna be very goated.
As long as he keeps working on it. And doesnt have all the nasty bugs that the second game had, hes got a very good title on his hands.
I would proabably only play 1 or 2 games from this list. I pop in once in while to this channel to keep up on whats going on with games I might play one day.
To me this is the best part of youtube, youtubers who are dedicated to what they like and have made a huge effort to communicate what is going on and what to look out for.
To me paid content various business deals and so on, is not a problem. It's part of the business. Keep up the good work.
(And as we all know, if a youtuber should stray to far from their path, the comment section would go bonkers...)
DORF looks sick! The bit were you talk about the supplies chain being more complex now that's a convincing argument to sell a conflict RTS, I imagine transport tycoon (open TTD) crossed with Red Alert, lots of fun in perspective :D

the core action in mars tactics feels really good to play. and i appreciate you mentioning old world. that ones a banger too.
Dominions 6 looks like it finally gets to the stage that is good to play it, with numbers of qol improvements it provides ot the series.
Dominions, right up there with the pros when it comes to releasing what seems the be the exact same game with title N+1 every so often.
Please add Nuke Them All - upcoming RTS, the demo is live on steam! "Nuke Them All" is an exciting indie RTS game set to launch in 2024, and we've already released the Demo, which is why we're reaching out to Steamers. It's a unique game in the style of classic golden-era RTS titles like Z, KKND, and C&C Red Alert. The primary objective is to capture flags and territories, speeding up production, upgrading factories, and ultimately destroying the enemy fort!
I knew about most of the games you mentioned, but Breachway was one I was surprise I knew little about and yet is now one of the games I am most excited about. A card based FTL-like, very nice...Outside of Breachway, DORF and AOH2 are the games I am really excited...
Broken Roads looks like Fallout Tactics and Jagged Alliance 2 . And i love it.
I missed tjis Ara before, adding to my wish list.
My most anticipated is Tempest rising which was pushed from 2023 release to release someday this year

For Dominions 6, try Middle Ages Abysia. They're a great nation to start off with. Great infantry and great priests/spellcasters.

And just so you know, some of the nations in it are not exactly based on mythology. R'lyeh is Lovecraftian, and Man, while largely based on Arthurian legends, also has bits from Wheel of Time.

Terminator RTS has Multiple Rocket System?! I'm sold already :D 3:54 and of course I'm mostly excited for Broken Arrow, because it's mix of WARNO/Wargame and World in Conflict, after playing demo it was just perfect!
Does seem to be a lot of Hooded Horse bias here. Love them as much as the next guy, but like, if Breachway is on this list, I'm surprised Earthless didn't make it either. Very similar games but one is made by a studio that AFAICT hasn't ever made a game before, and the other Blackbird Interactive. I'm interested in both, but I know which one I'm more excited for.

Manor Lords is a VERY promising citybuilding-combat game developed by 1 guy and an animator. You should realy check it out!
Dev Told Age Of History will Also come on Mobile..Like Thats Soo coool..We had Aoh2 for a long time and the only strategy game I loved a lot on mobile. Now That Aoh3 will also come on mobile makes me so happy.
17:35 - Don't get me wrong, I love WCIII and SCII. However, even if I hadn't heard about the influence of those games, I can clearly see the influence in the units and capabilities. Some of these may be so close as to be in lawsuit category: two headed orge, hero with a spinning manuever. I'm curious to see hear how that turns out.
Im excited for ara and hexxen. a few others that r out in early access now but songs of conquest should be hitting full release soon and a game called Revival: Recolonization is one i hope gets alot of content this year idk if it has a planned full release yet
Espiocracy and Menace seem to peek my interest. But DORF and Age of History 3 seem awesome, I know a few friends who might enjoy those.

Outpost: Infinity Siege is a surprise. Devs would definitely miss out if they didn’t have a coop where you have 1 base builder and rest fps; since it seems possible to control ground forces RTS style as well
yeah menace looks like a banger, if its as good as bb theyll get a lot of attention because many people didnt play bb bc of the art.
You should have mentioned solium infernum. It's also a civ like game in hell. Looking forward to espiocrecy I'm also a sucker for diplomacy and espionage.

If you want to mix FPS and Tower Defense vs waves of enemies look up Sanctum 2. It's an older game so it should be very inexpensive.
Other than Menace and D.O.R.F., I'm also excited about something not on this list: Dust Front.
This is shaping up to be a fabulous year for games in no small part to all the interesting strategy games. Hooded Horse is lucky to have you. The only game that comes to mind that's not on the list that I think deserves a mention is _Solium Infernum._ The demo last year was fantastic.
They should do a Stargate SG1 game inspired from Menace and Xcom
Game that used the open hatch mechanic before called "JTF" Game had interesting ideas. I don't know why it failed though.

Love your videos but where is tempest rising its the game im looking for the most
Terminator game seems to be made by my fellow russians mostly and it has a very good feel to it. It is a relatively small game, maybe 50 hours or so. I would say its probably worth 15-25 bucks. Graphics are last gen, but quite comfortable, music is probably the weakest thing. So if you dont want anything unorthodox, grab this game and have a nice ride, oh nevermind, savescum like crazy unless you pick easy diff. Tbf, its pretty brutal and challenging, so just play on easy.

Age of History, Espiocracy - do people actually think when they name their games?
If it is true that Millennia is coming out in 2024 I would be very weary. It had REAL big questions and looked giga rough from what we got to saw. Maybe it has been cleaned up maybe it is great as anything but I would be very cooled on the hype till we see real stuff from it.

My most anticipated one is Tempest Rising, and it's not on the list.
Interested in Terminator, and it doesn't look it, but not if its a simple rock paper bacic b game. Good RTS games are sooooo far in between and I'm still super pissed I bought that Age of Sigmar garbage and couldnt get a refund.
So PE.... can we expect some community gaming with some of these ? Like HW3 would be perfect for it wouldnt it ?

I play Dominions every once and awhile but a severe lack of units ruin it.
About Dominions 6 - try MP. SP is way inferior and this is a game, what truly shine only in multiplayer.

The homeworld 3 demo was terrible for controls it felt like the game was fighting my ability to play it so i uninstalled it.

It's a list of most anticipated games. If the game is exciting to him he's going to list it. The ethnicity or nationality of the developer doesn't matter for the list. If it matters to you it's easy to just Google the developer.
