It always felt like RTS fell off because every RTS game wanted to be the next Starcraft that became popular because of its competitive multiplayer. Forgetting the fact that epic Single Player campaigns are far more memorable. Really glad we're going back to the old formula.
Same there's nothing quite like the plethora of single player missions and workshop content MoW Assault Squad 2 has. Single player RTS content is what I'm here for.
Yes this is exactly the cause why RTS fail and this is the reason why games like company of heroes are alive... I have played RTS since 1998 (37 years old) I have seen the golden days for RTS, those games were made to be fun, cool, with amazing units, sound, animations, story etc, today they make games generic and boring, boring because they listen to a bunch of pros that like to play with green boxes instead of trees ( age of empires ) or they want reduced graphics fidelity so they can compete better, they listen to these guys and they are just eSports players that play for money and not yo have fun, they are not game designers... Also sc2 was popular for a few time, once blizzard hype disappear people realize SC2 was a game to watch instead play it, why? Because it requires a high amount of APM and it force you to play every day otherwise you lose rank. I will give you a good example why eSports is cancer on RTS, I bought sc2 because I wanted to play protos and use the cool mothership hability black hole, it was great and fun, 1 year later blizzard removes black hole and replace it with a boring skill, I left that game that day.. reason ? To please Korean pro players... eSports is cancer.
Hi! Your effort has been noticed and your timestamps added to the description of the video. I have had to move all the games links to the comments. This will reduce the number of clicks developers get to their game's store pages... but I will do what is the popular demand and switch the two lists.
Well the store pages have fit into a single comment, which I was honestly suppressed by... UA-cam logic: Description of a video can fit less words than the comment to a video. And the description now has your timestamps, slightly edited by me. @@Fubar_the_Magnificent
I can't imagine how much work there's been put into this awesome video! It must've taken ages to get all the needed video footage, do all the cuts and editing and then write the script and gather all the info on the games. You, sir, are a legend! Thank you!
Thank you kindly for your praise. It was equally hard in all aspects you mentioned. But I like spending time on my favorite genre and fellow gamers. The editing was done by my editor who has used my video style from last year, she is very talented and has great attention to detail. You can see individual game showcases here : ua-cam.com/play/PLRYGjguAn0CFpLi_MlTb6PIgLkXQM632Y.html
Its amazing that after years of drought old genres are making such a comeback. RTS, Boomer shooter. Some of the games on this list have been in limbo forever (Manor Lords), but theres still a lot the genre is ready to offer.
Well Manor Lords is set for an 26th of April, 2024 release date so no limbo any more. Some games are still in it, that you are correct. But the more people show an interest in these games the more developers work harder and publishers become more willing to support them. I have personally helped several developers get their mojo back and keep developing their games after they have seen great reception of their games by my viewers. BTW which of these are your favorites?
@@perafilozof Good luck to all of them. Always appreciate a decent unique take on the genre. In terms of favorites Id single out Dust Front, Tempest Rising, Godsworn (a fan of Warctraft 3 and I grew up in Lithuania, so Im biased), Zero Space, Dorf. I like a lot of the games on the list, but I already have quite a backlog in terms of games, so Im picky when it comes to actually buying something closer to release date. I put a lot of worth on style, setting and storyteling, so depending on what I know about these parts my interest can change. I favour single player and heavily dislike the "California school of storytelling", if a game practices that then Im out. Not a fan of pixels and polygon styles. The asking price also plays a role of how quick Id be willing to buy them. Anyway, thank you for your work of making these games known and heres hoping they find their success with their target audiences.
Those are some great picks of the list. Thank you for the replay. Don't we all have a huge backlog at this point. You grow up, get a job, family and gaming time goes down the drain. I hope many of these games do find their audience.
It was my pleasure! And this is just the first! Next is a showcase with fewer games and more in-depth looks, and once you go with an open playtest I go with a single video showcase of your game. Thank you for making such an awesome and advanced RTS game!
Great breakdown. I really hope that 2024 will be the year for RTS . My picks are Manor Lords, Immortal: Gates of Pyre, ZeroSpace, and of course Tempest Rising. It would be crazy if they announce Warcraft 4. Keep up the good work brate!
Thank you bro! Hvala brate! Glad to see more people notice Immortal: Gates of Pyre and ZeroSpace. I should have more videos on them in the future. Same with many others. I will showcase all of these in much more depth in future videos.
Thanks for all the work putting this really big video together, and for including Zeta Leporis RTS! And for being so friendly when I contacted you about it!
You are welcome and I should be thanking you for making a game in my favorite genre! Keep up the great work and I wish you many new wishlist additions.
Thank you for having Ardent Seas in the lineup! There are so many interesting entries here, I don't even know where to start. Last Train Home , Tempest Rising, Homeworld 3....
Hi, and thanks for the comment. I have talked about this with my fellow games many times over and concluded RTS definition needs to be expanded to encompass to including non base building games
Great video as always. Can't wait to get my hands on Godsworn, Homeworld 3, and Tempest Rising, but there were lots of others I hadn't wishlisted. 2024 is shaping up to be an incredible year for strategy at this rate. I'm glad to see you're expanding your definitions of RTS too. I think within reason having a broad definition gives people chances to be exposed to tactics games or other subgenres that they might love too. Night is Coming stuck out to me as a weird mesh of different genres that I want to try. Keep up the good work!
Hi and thank you for the comment and feedback. Glad to see we love the same games. And indeed, expanding my scope has let a lot of totally new games show up on this list, that is why it was so massive. It could have been 150, but I had to have some standards :)
It was my pleasure. Glad you enjoyed the video and indeed it was one hell of a project. Keep working and I can't wait to do a single video showcase of your game.
ohaaaa, so many RTS games. There should be a subcategory for RTS. that you can distinguish base building RTS from others. I already know red chaos the strict order from other videos. As a C&C general fan red chaos would be my priority. Tempest Rising is ok, i played the demo but I prefer more overview like with Red Alert 3 or Generals. I don't like this dark mood by T.R Other games here might also be interesting.
thank you so much@@perafilozof . we already received many wishlists thanks to you this weekend! we're coming back soon, with a much better demo... stay tuned!
Thank you for the praise. I am glad you enjoyed it. I will be posting more in-depth look video on these games, but until than you can see my individual showcases here: ua-cam.com/play/PLRYGjguAn0CFpLi_MlTb6PIgLkXQM632Y.html
So, so, so, so, so, so many strategy games. Great! Looking forward to Tempest Rising, Chromosome Evil 2 and Rattenreich. There is so much more coming though. I need a moment to look all of the others.
Its not the ful release, only early access :(, i really like this game but I will not touch it until it exits EA. I have bad experience with games in EA@@perafilozof
Hi and thanks for the praise and feedback. It is my honor to have your game be part of this list. Thank you for making such a cool RTS in such an interesting setting.
"If you wonder why Total War Pharo and Company of Heroes 3 aren't on this list, is cause their developers need to put more effort to deserve a place in this list after dissapointing their fans" - paragraphing. Damn right they do, well said!
Personally I am looking most forward to Silica. The rts and fps hybrid. The ability to have real players on the ground, never had me care more for my units. It also open a lot of awesome teamwork posibilities. Also people who don't look rts games can join as a fps players. The developer is really friendly and open to answer all sorts of questions.
Thank you for sharing your favorite with us. I will have a dedicated video about Stormgate out soon but until then you can see other individual showcases here : ua-cam.com/play/PLRYGjguAn0CFpLi_MlTb6PIgLkXQM632Y.html
That is exactly why these games need a voice behind them to help future players learn of them and support the developers with wishlists and comments to get them to finish these games and publishers to invest in them. BTW which of these are your favorites?
I love Star Sector. I dont know which to classify it as; An RTS or an RTT. It is a space based game with fleet management, factions, politics, and base building on planets. you can control what modifications you do to each ship and what captains to put in them. Also the Mod community is very active.
Hi and thank you for the comment. Indeed, I don't want to be gating games from possible players just because I don't like some game. If it is not a fake project, or asset flip or anything like that, why not show it and let you, the players decide.
Awesome video as always! This video has taken me so long to finish because of pausing and adding to my wishlist. This might be me, but I thought each game did not have enough "screen time" and would have benefited from multiple videos with the list being broken up. I did add at least 75% of the games to my wishlist based on what I saw. Some of the games were not on steam like Assembly RTS at least at the time of posting this. I noticed a lot of the games towards the end of the list have demos available which made me excited. I am curious about your thoughts on the RTS definition. I don't think games like the Stargate one or commando like games qualify in my opinion. That and turn based and deck building in my eyes don't belong to the RTS genre.
Hi, and thank you kindly for the comment and feedback. Indeed, this was my master list and next up are two videos where I will take a much more in-depth look into each game. As you said, broken up by some type. I used to be very harsh on games which were advertise as RTS because I expected them to have 1. resource collection 2. base building 3. unit recruitment 4. unit combat. But so many developers are making such different games that many of those games no longer fit this definition. So I expanded mine. True, turn based games and deck building games simply have their own genres. So stay tuned in for even longer videos but with more time given to fewer games per list.
Hi and thank you for the feedback and comment. You will learn at the end of the video why I have changed my system of selection and I hope you think it is for the better.
@@perafilozof sure, even now there are some indie projects that left unincluded, but I can't complain when you needed to go through so many of them and figure out which ones are actually legit =)
The full list would probably be 200+ but I had to remove asset flips, totally fake games from publishers I know that just wait for wishlist numbers before they make anything but a cinematic trailer or fake game, as well as some games which game out far back in 2023 and people have already forgotten about as they just didn't capture their attention. It is always hard taking games off the list, but someone has to do it, and I don't pretend my judgment is the best one out there.
Hehe, tell me about it :) So far I have found another 50+ games. So by the end of 2024 we may have 200+ new RTS games :) Latest ones are here: ua-cam.com/video/a39xHocYuXI/v-deo.html
Hey Pera, I would like to bring your attention to Ascendance 4x, also made by a solitary dev still in the development phase, it is a 4x with a high level of simulation and a low level of abstractions, with scales that can range from companies to entire civilizations, from a single solar system or multiple ones with access to FTL, and most importantly a much deeper and physically based combat, with logistical needs, realistic weapons, something unique in terms of 4x.
Thank you kindly for your feedback. I am glad you enjoyed it. You can see more in-depth looks at these games on this playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLRYGjguAn0CFpLi_MlTb6PIgLkXQM632Y.html
I hope the Ground Control series gets a new game. Both games ends with cliffhanger finale. Ground Control 2 factions being recycled is fine, but they should fix the Terran faction to be up to the other 2 playable factions' standards, maybe add that ancient alien as a new faction, probably enemy only.
Who wouldn't ? :) Only people who didn't play it. I hope so, but that IP has been dead for such a long time. Which of these games are you looking forward to?
@@perafilozof Tempest Rising and Homeworld 3 was ones I am waiting the most, but also interested in Falling Frontier, Terminator Dark Fate, and Fragile Existence.

@perafilozof Heart Of Muriet was one that really stood out for me. I played a lot of Stonehearth with my wife and it looks like a good RTS version of it. I like the lack of micro management and love just sending an overwhelming force at the enemy. I'd rather be a king than a commander!
I hope in star Exodus you get the option of various playable races for benefits and weaknesses or for play style. Also Barkhan I think is not just a rip off of Dune but that one Dune game that was in 3D, it was revolutionary for the time in terms of technicals. But the issue is it can't be released due to a lot of missing source codes and the owners of the OG Source code threw it out. I forget the exact name but unfortunately there was no release.
Thank you kindly for that feedback. I found more than 100, but some I had to drop from the first draft of the list due to many different reasons. This is still filtered, just at a very low setting :) Keep up your great work!
You are quite welcome. Thank you for your kind words and praise. More videos but this time with in-depth looks at these and newly found games coming right up. Until then check this playlist out for RTS games: ua-cam.com/play/PLRYGjguAn0CFpLi_MlTb6PIgLkXQM632Y.html

Finger crossed but i think homeworld 3 is gonna be awesome. Which is good because i have been waiting it for 20 years. Now what i would love to see is a 4x game set in just one or a few very detailed solar systems, with starships in the style of nexus: the jupiter incident. Hopefully Falling frontier will deliver.@@perafilozof
Hi, that is from Moduwar , 15:23 in the video shows more about it. But I will explain the game in much more detail and show off the newest footage in an upcoming video. I am glad to hear you wishlisted these games as that really helps and motivates developers
i dont know if you wil see this but thanks for the long post you've made on reddit (yt tips and your journey) it's so helpful i didn't finish reading it but i thought i pass by and say thanks man :)
Still can't wait for sanctuary!! My number one most anticipated rts game. My fav is total annihilation escalation and supreme commander. Everything TA inspired is usually amazing. I enjoyed beyond all reason but after playing total annihilation escalation and seeing the sheer amount of unit variety it's just not the same. I actually enjoy the old 32 bit graphics. Hopefully sanctuary will have a ridiculous amount of unit variety.

Great list! I would like to call attention to two more titles: "Global Conflagration" - it looks like a mix between Command & Conquer and Company of Heroes and "The Touhou Empires" - something like a mix of Age of Empires and Lord of the Rings BFME (Touhou characters as heroes).
I just wanted to check the game... lost instantly 2 hours to Age of Cores... such a dangerous pitfall of a game... where did my time go? For those wondering: "Broken Arrow" is a military term meaning "we lost a NUKE!". It has been used as a title or subtitle a number of times by now.
Hopefully 9 bit armies bring balance to factions in this game as in the last games there was always one faction that won due to resources it could gather and the technology.
@@perafilozof I know i know. Seems like i didn't put my words well together and created a misunderstanding. :) I just meant, that it won't be the first one.
@@suoquainen ah that indeed is true. No problem. It was a great SW game. We have had too few over the years. What other games are you looking forward to.
@@perafilozof Yes and D.O.R.F. catched my interest, also Dinolords (reminds me of Paraworld, which was also a very nice rts and could need a remake or so, since it's not running on Windows 10 or newer anymore). I have an old setup from Beyond All Reason since 2 years now and never i had installed or played it (i don't know why). Maybe i should try it out... EDIT: Maybe i wanted to wait until there are cheats out for Beyond All Reason, since i'm used to play single player with cheats.
Thank you for the video, an impressive list!!! As other have said, the work you and you helpers have put in this is amazing. Battle Realms Zen Edition is still being developped too. Also, Petroglyph is "teasing?" a bunch of stuff and people are going crazy on facebook with ideas of remakes and whatnot. (red alert 2 remake, tiberian sun remake, grey goo remake, ... people are wild) (not anywhere to be seen for the next 100 years or so is a sequel or remake of Dark Reigns and War Wind) Well, fans do developped patch for Dark Reign 1 and 2 and it's free. Same for Submarine Titans. Rise of Legends and Armies of Exigo still deserve to be put back on steam as well as Universe at War: Earth Assault If 2024 give us RTS for real this time and delays are no more, we could see a succesful come back of many of them as companies would see RTS are not dead ! Empire of the Undergrowth just released (not sure if you mentioned it, saw empire of the ants), Dungeons 4 could have made the list (even if it did disappoint me quite a lot) Same as Desync (bit of a weird one but still worth mentioning), the riftbreaker is kind action/strategy, Age of Darkness is going for 1.0 in 2024 I believe? Or is it December? Stellaris is still RTS-y to me as well and still gets new release.
Thank you for your feedback and praise. My editor out did herself, and many developers sent me great footage of these games. The rest of the work is my own . I noticed what Petroglyph is doing and it is both interesting and cryptic. I did mention Empires of the Undergrowth near the end.

I'm a bit scared for some of those dev. There's a lot of good game coming up but I'm worried that there isn't enough players to make all those studios a decent buck. I hope they planned a good marketing campaign for their game so that they don't end up forgotten in that sea of content. I wish them all best of luck

I cant say right now they seem great but I don't want to get my hopes to high yet but space gears and warpaws and tempest rising seem like nice games.@@perafilozof
31:10 It's an X-COM-like Turn-based Strategy game, not an RTS. The news devolved into it possibly being an RTS because a gaming news website misreported it as potentially being an EAW sequel, IIRC.
I want a pvp/co-coop rts that combines the long term development/city building of the Anno series, with the combat of Men of War, and the politics/dynasty elements of Crusader Kings.
Hi and thanks for sharing your idea with us. I think it is a very tall order, but I bet someone somewhere is making something similar. And I will do my best to find it.
Hi I do mention it and it's new expansion in the last part of the video. I haven't really had a chance to get into it, but I am slowly being talked into it as more and more people show up on my videos suggesting it. I have looked at gameplay videos but I haven't managed to see what makes it so superior to MoW yet, what am I missing?
@@perafilozof Men of War 2 is pretty much Men of War Arena (always needs a server connection!) with some single player content. If you played previous MoW games you will know that MoW 2 is hot garbage and Gates of Hell is the true successor. I just don't want that people buy a terrible game with their hard earned money just because of the naming. Was very hyped about Men of War 2 until i played it...

A large number of orange and blue diamonds in the description of the video are very much in the way of the eyes, literally causing epilepsy) I think the timecodes looked less defiant, albeit for a few seconds.
Hi and thank you for the feedback, I felt they help differentiate the games, maybe I should try something less colorful? BTW which of these are your favorites?
@@perafilozof Yes, something less colored, less contrasting was better. About my favorite game... Since I'm a fan of competitive RTS: StormGate, Tempest Rising, Terminator dfd, HW3, Immortals should turn out amazing and pull over the players from other genres. Moreover, I have already tried most of them in various closed and public tests)
I would just add ZeroSpace as it will be as advanced in its design as Stormgate with many modern MP system and underlaying tech. I will have more videos on both games out soon.
@@perafilozof I know quite well those who are engaged in the development of ZeroSpace and in my opinion they want to do something through a lot of fancy and not like the classic rts. For a number of more casual players. At the same time, they again rely too much on games like starcraft. And this great influence does not allow them to create a really good and unique game for a unique audience that will not consist of 90% starcarft fans.
Hehe too true! Thank you for the comment, and I totally agree. BTW there was just a new announcement of a game that wasn't in this master list which you can learn more about here : ua-cam.com/video/V9z8YQvsxF0/v-deo.html
Of course more developer activity in the Strategy genre is good, you can say that Jagged Alliance 3 earlier this year was a massive win for the (Turn-based) Strategy genre and community: there is much reason to be positive. However, there are negative aspects to take away from this. With so many strategy games potentially coming out in 2024, they risk overshadowing each other. Oversaturating the market with the same type of game tends to be negative for the sector, as the titles will be directly competing with one another. People will likely expect better than a "Command and Conquer clone", especially with so many of them releasing. I hope we'll see better times in the Strategy genre. At least JA3 was a shining light in the darkness. Finally, you are right to criticise Sega, Creative Assembly and the CoH3 team. It's baffling how they thought milking low-effort content at higher prices would be a good idea for Total War (let's not even talk about Hyenas) and it's alarming that the CoH3 developer doesn't even understand how to create a basic UI/HUD. The state of these franchises is sad (especially CoH, such a great Dawn of War successor ruined by the microtransaction abyss that was CoH2 and left to incompetence to spawn CoH3...).
HI and thank you for this comment and feedback. As for the shear number of games I think the market is many times larger than it was back in the 90's so there is more than enough players to go around for all of these games. When it comes to the problem of Total War and Company of Heroes, simply put the people who made those games great no longer work in those companies. New people came and couldn't make the same games better. Just worse.
@@perafilozof Agreed, although with Total War especially... CA was doing alright and just needed to deliver on some improvements that fans really wanted, but then let standards drop due to allegedly pushing a core part of their team to Hyenas (at some point during TW:WH3) and they pushed their luck with low quality DLC content and price hikes. Such a shame.
@RandomIdiotGS as the new internet meme would say... F around and find out :) They didn't know how to keep their golden goose safe. And now they are paying the price. It just goes to show it isn't the company it is the people who work there. Same thing happened to Blizzard once the relevant people left
5:52 has anyone actually kept up with this one (infection free zone?) I added it to my wishlist seems like ages ago but I haven't seen it budge much since. Slated for a 2024 release seems a bit ambitious if they still have the same very limited proof of concept videos/screenshots that they've had for at least a few years now, but I ask because I might've missed something and just haven't seen much budging on it.

I know... It is a travesty where the whole franchise is going. Hopefully Microsoft turns this around in the future. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. Which games are you looking forward to?
@@perafilozof Exclude the game I already have and well known title Dust Front really appeal to me they have style and cool factor that I find missing in most indie RTS, Sanctuary also look amazing I hope it's gameplay will at least on par to Beyond All Reason.

Thank you for saying that! It is great to hear@@AProudAmericannn
It always felt like RTS fell off because every RTS game wanted to be the next Starcraft that became popular because of its competitive multiplayer. Forgetting the fact that epic Single Player campaigns are far more memorable.
Really glad we're going back to the old formula.
So very true. I think so too, and that is why I love seeing more indie developers making singleplayer and co-op campaigns for their games.
Same there's nothing quite like the plethora of single player missions and workshop content MoW Assault Squad 2 has. Single player RTS content is what I'm here for.
Thank you for sharing that. I have only begun to learn about it all myself as I played Men of War II and did my video on it.@@yume5338
Но ведь в старкрафте была одна из лучших одиночных компаний....

@@perafilozof My contribution to the internet )) You can also pin the store page and timestamp comments for better visibility.

I second this! Indeed, very long video with tons of games, you have great overview.
Thank you kindly!
I hope many of these games do find their audience.
stealth games next i hope!

I will showcase all of these in much more depth in future videos.

my innitial impression: Thank you for differentiating between RTS and RTT games.

It could have been 150, but I had to have some standards :)

that you can distinguish base building RTS from others.

Tempest Rising is ok, i played the demo but I prefer more overview like with Red Alert 3 or Generals.

Assembly RTS is now on Steam 👍
Wishlisted! @@assemblyrtsdev
Wow... a hundo? You werent holding back here for sure =) Found some gems that I never heard of... and I'm only half way with the video xD
Thanks perafilozof for the RTS support!!
Always my friend! And thank you for developing Dying Breed and keeping RTS alive!

RTS is making a come back for sure!
Indeed it is! Thank you for the comment. Which game are you most looking forward to?
I'm one of the first people to playtest Nuke Them All, it needs a lot of polish, but otherwise a fun Z (the arcade RTS) type RTS.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. That is how it looks and I too hope to see the polished version released
Well done man
Thank you kindly! Which of these are you looking forward to?
Hey Pera, I would like to bring your attention to Ascendance 4x, also made by a solitary dev still in the development phase, it is a 4x with a high level of simulation and a low level of abstractions, with scales that can range from companies to entire civilizations, from a single solar system or multiple ones with access to FTL, and most importantly a much deeper and physically based combat, with logistical needs, realistic weapons, something unique in terms of 4x.
Hi and thanks for that. I am bookmarking it now for future videos.
Fate of the dragon series is my specialty
Oh, interesting. Thx for the comment

@perafilozof Heart Of Muriet was one that really stood out for me. I played a lot of Stonehearth with my wife and it looks like a good RTS version of it. I like the lack of micro management and love just sending an overwhelming force at the enemy. I'd rather be a king than a commander!
Ah nice ! It went through a big design overhall so I will try to do a video about it.@@bigben2569
Hi and thank you for the comment. Don't hold your breath for Star Exodus and as for Barkhan... time and players will tell is it even worth it.

Still can't wait for sanctuary!! My number one most anticipated rts game. My fav is total annihilation escalation and supreme commander. Everything TA inspired is usually amazing. You definitely need to give BAR a spin. Honestly, why do you need cheats? You don't have to win to have fun in singleplayer.
(red alert 2 remake, tiberian sun remake, grey goo remake, ... people are wild)
(not anywhere to be seen for the next 100 years or so is a sequel or remake of Dark Reigns and War Wind) Well, fans do developped patch for Dark Reign 1 and 2 and it's free.
Same for Submarine Titans.
Rise of Legends and Armies of Exigo still deserve to be put back on steam as well as Universe at War: Earth Assault
If 2024 give us RTS for real this time and delays are no more, we could see a succesful come back of many of them as companies would see RTS are not dead !
Empire of the Undergrowth just released (not sure if you mentioned it, saw empire of the ants), Dungeons 4 could have made the list (even if it did disappoint me quite a lot)
Same as Desync (bit of a weird one but still worth mentioning), the riftbreaker is kind action/strategy, Age of Darkness is going for 1.0 in 2024 I believe? Or is it December?
Stellaris is still RTS-y to me as well and still gets new release.
Thank you for your feedback and praise. My editor out did herself, and many developers sent me great footage of these games. The rest of the work is my own .
I noticed what Petroglyph is doing and it is both interesting and cryptic. I did mention Empires of the Undergrowth near the end.

Hi and thank you for the feedback, I felt they help differentiate the games, maybe I should try something less colorful? BTW which of these are your favorites?
I hope it looks better now.
Even if 2024 is not another golden age of RTS like 2000s, we still can call it a silver 🥈age

And extra points for being made by one dude :) Thx for the comment, what else are you looking forward to?
9-Bit Armies: A Bit Too Far 🤣🤣🤣
Hehe, I know I found it a very funny name too. But the gameplay looks fun, at least to me. What other games are you looking forward to?
Dust Front, Last Train to Home, Cold Engines and Falling Frontier are the ones that I'm looking forward to the most, but so happy that RTS has a comeback!
Thank you for the replay. Glad to see some of my own favorites on your list.
What are the titles You looking forward to?!
Well to many, but what I will play no matter what are : Homeworld 3, Tempest Rising, Manor Lords, Global Conflagration, D.O.R.F., Dust Front, Sins of a Solar Empire 2 and Ephemeris. Those are my main picks for now, short list. @@eleven2435
-Perfect RTS: TERMINATOR ORIGINAL BATTLE
-Worst Possible RTS: TERMINATOR DARK FATE
-What RTS releasse?: TERMINATOR DARK FATE
😢
I know... I know. But look at it on the bight side. More creative freedom for the developers.
I miss the old cheesy b-movie cutscenes from C&C/Red Alert and the babes ... lets not forget the babes. Too bad they don´t care to make them anymore, probably cheaper than CGI now a days.
Tell me about it. It is the most memorable part of those games. The later ones even had some top actors from very popular Movies and TV shows. There are a few games which are trying to bring this back. Like Dying Breed : ua-cam.com/video/Nu8V7V_JgaM/v-deo.htmlsi=IBaRcwGH4HADbVaN or Moduwar : ua-cam.com/video/AmEq24xsf0M/v-deo.htmlsi=mYeyhGuOS8tX9c7e
So many games, so little time!
Tell me about it. I know that lack of time too well. Which of these look best to you?
@@perafilozof DORF and Tempest Rising for me.
@@DreamMarko thanks for the reply
Normally I avoid to say negative thing to the game I'm not interesting but that Warcraft... It's not like I have any problem with mobile games but this didn't look like Warcraft some how it didn't even have a look or feel of Blizzard at all.
Nice, you have chosen some of my own favorites there. Thx for the replay.
So many games here that wont be out until 2026 probably
That might be true, depends on their developers and support from gamers and publishers. But most will get some playable demo or playtest.
