It's not about the whiskey, it's the people you share it with!

No one one UA-cam breaks down a bottle better than you do. Appreciate the info
Thanks man. Appreciate it
Glad you liked this one! I’ve never seen one of these but I absolutely love the Small Batch Select so I’ll be happy with that.
Just pulled one of these today and the same store sold me the 2022 LE a few weeks ago! Can't wait to get into them. These were HIGH on my list after watching you gush over them.
Thanks Jason for the Love and mention at 9:22 in this review!
Cheers man 🥃

I've been bourbon hunting for 4yrs and I have never seen a Four Roses LE in the wild. Hopefully this year is the exception.
Thanks! Will for sure be hunting this one.
Good lord... this may be one of my favourite bourbons of all time in terms of balance. Incredible. Fantastically creamy mouthfeel, great depth of flavour, fantastic oak, perfect sweetness. This is my most sought after bottle every year (BTAC at MSRP is pie in the sky) and 2023 proves why. I found for $299 and although above MSRP it's a unicorn for me and boy is it worth it. Will savour this bottle for years to come
As always, great job brother!!
Looking forward to adding this to my collection..
I never see these below $400 here in Los Angeles. Usually $500+. I did spring for the 2022 and am glad I did.
Got to try this one tonight and it's delicious!! Really hope to find one this year
This is a bucket list bourbon for me. Maybe I will get lucky like a kid at the bunny ranch lol. 😎🥃 cheers
Looking forward to all of the fun upcoming discussions about WT Generations price and Campari influence
I was able to find LE last year and really loved it. I recently got a Weller CYPB at auction. Wondering if I should consider trading it for the 2023 LE. I’ve never had the CYPB so I’m mulling it over.🤔
Trade it
Okay, ramble time!
Never see these locally; I had to order from a European site to get a bottle of last year's just recently. It's a shame because Four Roses is my favorite distillery and I really want this one. That said, this review puts me more at ease at the likelihood of missing out since I'm iffy on oak-heavy profiles. I'm sure this would be one of the exceptions where the oak works really well for me, but my palate tends to be fickle there.
I will say this sounds similar to last year's in that it's all over the place in a good way. It's not necessarily a flavor-bomb (which I turn to bourbon for), but there's a level of layers, subtlety, and complexity that almost no other bourbon gives me. I'd say it reminds me of an excellent single malt in that sense. Bourbon will probably always be my favorite, but when you have a good single malt scotch, it's something special. Last year's provided that in bourbon form.
Hello from Cambridge 😊💖🐶🐶
The sample I got from 4r is better than retail bottle the extra 4 proof points insanly enough makes a difference
Would love to find one of these, been looking for a 4RLE for a very long time.
Can't wait for the WT generations review!
@TheMashandDrum how does this rate against the 2022 FRLE? Which is better if you could pick either. Thanks.
Perfect review!
Desperate to get one here in England, just sense it will be even harder this year. Would like to see it go up against some of the other LEs in a blind
Got it! But California retail 249.99
How does this stack against a nice high proof 4R private selection sib?
Do you buy your bottles online...?
You get all the new releases quickly.
A few I do. I get bottles from friends across the country. I can't find these all where I am
@@TheMashandDrum I live in Sparks, Nevada. I work in the spirit industry. I get do tastings including new Releases. Barrel picks. Educating people on the History.
Explain the difference in wood that is used for barrels aging. If I myself do see a bottle I'm interested in I do order online to.
You have a great youtube channel.
Thanks for sharing your passion. 🥃
These are hard to find ones.
Hey random question, do you know if batch 197 is a real thing on Magnus Cigar blend? Saw one in town here in CBUS but their tasting notes stop well short of this number. Any help or opinion on the matter would be greatly appreciated. Love the reviews!
Nancy got behind on her notes, so I wouldn’t go by that.
I have batch 206 and they are in the 240’s I think now. Nancy Fraley just got behind on her tasting notes.
Never found a Four Roses LE unfortunately.
Have a chance to get one on Saturday for $220
Local retail store was asking 400
Reasonable price considering
I’m sure it’s awesome, in Florida all of this is overpriced
Should I be happy that I paid $80 McKenna 10 year BIB ? I bought it because I kindly asked them to take $20 off because they wanted $96 and the other store I bought my backup was at $100. Both gave it to me for $80
Did I do good or did I get ripped?
80 isn't bad nowadays for a McKenna. So no ...you didn't get ripped
I spy Wild Turkey Generations
anyone who doubt the price of aged bourbon will be silent when they look the price of macallan 18 or any other valueless scotch 😂
It’s true! Plus, bourbon doesn’t taste like burnt moss.
Saw this last week for $600 😓
Generations just casually hanging out back there… 👀
many LEs are in the 30000 range - if this is half of that then damn
Depends on what you consider an LE. The Jack Daniels 10 and 12 where around 18k each. I think the Russell's 13 was around 20k.
