Hey Ian, great stuff as always! Although you can avoid the trip to Premiere by just choosing to Queue in AME from After Effects. Media Encoder has the option to export as a GIF without needing to create another video file.

You do realize that sometimes when you press a key to perform an action and not inform us which key you pressed it can bring the whole tutorial to a halt for some of us.

When using the pen tool how did you cut your face out? I drew around the face and can't figure out what key to use to separate the cut face from the picture..

The swiggly line thing in 4:00 does not show when I drag into composition. I can't seem to get past that part. It automatically came up when you dragged your file. It didn't happen on mine

The tracking on mine goes a bit wonky after a few seconds. Any tips for making it a bit more accurate? Sometimes the tracking moves so much that it follows an arm or something of the subject. Also how did you add the rotate keyframe thanks? :)

Not the best tutorial for new users. You gotta tell us what keys you were pressing on the keyboard when you're doing the action.

To make it better, add Motion blur and it's better to track the rotation of the head
Not sure if you even look at messages on this anymore, but can you suggest how to speed up the tracking. I'm trying this and it took about 4 minutes to do 1 second.
Can you show if this can be done with 2 videos instead of a still pic - overlay a face from one video onto another video ? Not worried abut creating a GIF but an actual vieo format
is there anyway to wrap the image on the video face tracking area? want to stick my sons face on Terminator 2 Arnold's scenes lol

For me its not defaulting to Tracker.. Its stays default on the actual video. What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions, please.
what if i only want this effect in a small part of my full clip? how do i make the face invisible before and after its to be tracked?

i havent tried yet, but maybe cut the clip as a separate video, and once you finish that, you can put the clips back together?

Good video, I gotta play it at .75 speed to keep up though. I'm a beginner with AE and I can't figure out how to release the anchor, you left that part out lol.
