I can even tell you are taking this in the morning because of the direction the light is shining...(and that explains the lack of people on the train going back from Penn to Port Washington back)
Saw one of the LIRR yards when traveling on the (7) subway once. I assume this commuter rail, is maintained by a 3rd rail, correct? Cause Bostons commuter Rail system, is operated by a separate diesel engine.
@@arielgonzalez5296, I came back to Brazil more than 9 years ago, I got tired of living alone. I really miss this city. I hope to return to see friends there.

Depends on what you're comparing it to. Compared to metro north, they're like heaven. Compared to pretty much any train in Japan or Korea, it's absolute shit.
+Nick Apples I don't remember exactly. I saw some very long consists on this line. They can't even fit on Port Washington platform. I believe they are 12 car long.
Kaze Namikaze There’s More LIRR Branches Montauk Oyster Bay Babylon Hempstead Ronkonokma Port Jefferson West Hempstead Far Rock Way And Long Beach Not Just Port Washington
Brings back memories of my trips to Great neck & back, thanks for showing the rest of the line, as I had forgotten it
Long Island was my childhood but a lot has changed and it will never be the same anymore. (1996-2010)

On the Lirr it got a third rail and it's electric they have a diesel aswell
I Rode The Port Washington Branch Train To Great Neck Today
34:00 WOW this was when that steel bridge was gonna be replaced with a concrete bridge. It also created a mini tunnel for the train to go through.
You are smart to choose sitting on this side, it's facing the ocean so you get best view
44:04 Niiiice...you know where to sit...it's right in front of the stairs...where I usually sit so I can just go up the stairs
Ahh. Memories on track 17 😊.
Nice footage, looks like it wasn't a crowded train out of Penn Station there
I used this train for almost 12 years. I miss the noise and creak. I hope to use it again soon. I live in Brazil..
this is my high school years revisited. so many concerts at msg, back to the train when it was over. weekends shopping in town.

I find LIRR trains quite comfortable.

I've never been to Penn Station but one I'll go there to explore.
Used to live there, there isn't really anything to do there, don't waste your time. Check out Bayside, Little Neck, and Flushing instead.
