I've never seen this kind of lizards in my life before, they're really beautiful! They remind me, because of their shape, of bearded dragons, which are basically my favourite lizards because I grew up with one (RIP my boy Freddie).

Those are so adorable.♥️ I think they enjoy the hunt when it comes to the crickets. It's a natural instinct they get to practice in captivity. You can tell you love them.♥️

That’s crazy how big that egg is.
What spectacular lizards! With their red eye patches they seem to be wearing theatrical makeup, like kabuki actors playing dragons. Their eyes seem proportionally large compared to other lizards, so I am wondering if they are most active in low-light conditions in their native habitat. That they are content and robust enough to keep producing babies, like their tameness, is a testament to your care. Fascinating that they invest so much in producing single huge eggs and supplementing that further with parental care. Do both parents care for the eggs and protect the babies?

Never heard of Red Eye Crocodile Skinks, but that's awesome. I've been considering a live vivarium build for a long time but my crested gecko is old and clumsy. These would be perfect.

New viewer--I subscribed from watching this video alone--footage was excellent and those skinks are fantastic! Definitely a super neat animal, especially the fact that they can nest and rear young inside the enclosure and you can keep them in small groups. I'll have to check out more of your vids on them.
