Also, every time I hear Hermione say "She's a little sensitive" to describe Moaning Myrtle, I always have the same first thought: A LITTLE sensitive?" Side note: I always have the thought of "Harry's lucky Fawkes clawed out the Basilisk's eyes, otherwise that rock trick in the tunnel wouldn't have worked at all, combined with "Don't you dare sneeze, Harry"
There are actual vampires in the series, but none make an appearance in the movies. In the books they reference them a few times but we only meet one. Also, the in-world candy shops sell blood flavored lollipops, presumably for vampire customers.
They also have a term called Squib, someone with wizard parents but no magic power, the opposite to Mudbloods. The caretaker Filch is a notable example of a Squib.

She felt that since she had sometimes described Hermione as very brown with big poofy hair, it made sense that some people might imagine her as Black.
Elves here are similar to goblins in classic myths, difference is goblins enjoy being servants and take pride in their dirty rags and consider new clothes as insults. They still demand respect like meals and bed, if they’re mistreated they’ll prank their master after quitting. So goblins have more backbone. Santa’s helper elves are also sort of based on this lore.
Too bad you didn’t watch the extended version of this one like you did the last film. There are some interesting deleted scenes that were added back in.
“I didn’t know you could read” wasn’t actually in the original script, the actor who played Draco forgot his line and improvised.

In the books Harry did *not* kill anyone in the first book and Quirrell did *not* crumble into dust. Quirrell died when Voldemort left his body.
