God I love the 928 - it's just in a league of it's own. Nothing even comes close. I'm in the process of buying one as well - an early one.. '77 one of the first 500 ever produced. I prefer the old ones over the never models. They have clearer lines and represent how Porsche initially intended it to look. And of course there is the Tom Cruise feeling of driving one of those early cars :)
It was option to leave those out. Most late model year cars have them but some don't. For instructions how to remove them see for example Rennlist 928 forum archive.
I love my 81 even though it is still on jack stands because I am restoring and am so close to taking it on the road. Because the last time it was registered was 2001 I can't wait to take it on its maiden voyage after the worst 10 years of the poor cars life ( it had wood screws holding the door panels on).
@@billystutz55 holy blast from the past. It was running for 5 years very well and then the head gaskets went. So out with the 4.5 and in with the 5.4 that I'm building. Still all Porsche though.
Red interior are for a cheap C4 corvette driven by an owner with funky short pants and nike shoes not for a regal porsche normaly driven by an owner dressed in an Armani suit
